This truck gets the job done. Big, bold, and black, this 1977 Ford F-100 Ranger XLT is ready to work, play, or just take you just about anywhere you want to go, thanks to 4-wheel-drive and a strong 400 under the hood. Great looks dont hurt, either. In the 70s, if you needed stuff hauled, no matter how big, this was how you did it. As a result, finding a truck that hasnt been bashed and worked to within an inch of its life is no easy task. Fortunately, this one has led an easier life of leisure, perhaps scouting remote hunting grounds or trekking across fields to get to a private fishing spot. The shiny black paint is a few years old and shows slight wear, but by truck standards, its very nice. Youll dig the extra XLT Ranger stainless trim, as well as the chrome bumpers that make it look well-dressed for any occasion. The bodywork is straight and clean thanks to a lifetime down south, and it appears to be wearing all its original sheetmetal, so its not like this is some wreck that was rebuilt. No, its just a really clean heavy-duty pickup thats ready for new adventures. The bed is finished with a spray-in bedliner so you can still use it as a truck and there are no signs of abuse underneath. Clean is the theme inside, too, where a fresh red seat cover for the factory bench offers comfortable accommodations for three. The new black carpets on the floor works rather well with the exterior paint job and dresses up the Fords heavy-duty interior. The instrument panel offers factory dials and a set of auxiliary gauges neatly installed just underneath, as well as bright XLT woodgrain accents that dress it up a bit. The original steering wheel is showing its age and might be the only notable demerit in the interior, because everything else is pretty darned nice. Youre also going to dig the AM/FM/CD stereo that sounds great as well as fully functional factory A/C. And no pickup truck is complete without a sliding rear window, which provides draft-free ventilation thats great for days when its not quite warm enough for the A/C. This is a big truck, but fortunately, theres a big V8 to move it around. The 400 is probably the original engine, complete with a stock 2-barrel carburetor, and it runs strong. All the original parts are intact: thats the original air cleaner up top, with plain painted valve covers and lots of Ford Blue paint. IT has obviously been detailed recently and it starts, idles, and runs extremely well thanks to proper tuning. The rumble from the custom Flowmaster dual exhaust system sounds more like a vintage muscle car than a big pickup, and well admit that we like it a lot. The C6 3-speed automatic transmission shifts well and the 4-wheel-drive system engages without any drama, so its always ready to rock. The chassis is heavy-duty enough to go just about anywhere, and with manual locking hubs, you dont have to worry about fragile parts getting broken at the least opportune moment. 15-inch aluminum wheels wear brand new big 31x10.50-15 all-terrain tires. This truck is definitely up for whatever youre looking to do, and thanks to the heavy-duty hardware, youll never have to worry about getting stuck. 4x4 Ford trucks are hard to come by, especially in slick black packages. Why spend $50k or $60k on a new truck when awesome pickups like this 1977 Ford F-100 are still around and insanely affordable? Not quite a full-fledged collectable quite yet, it nonetheless remains a rugged, handsome truck in great colors that can still earn its keep around the homestead. While the other guys drive around in cookie-cutter pickups, you could have something interesting for a fraction of the price. Almost everything looks better with two-tone paint, including working-class hardware like this Ranger. Its obviously had a good life, and as a lifelong southern truck, it shows no signs of rust or abuse underneath. The white-over-blue paint is newer than the truck, of course, and looks spectacular with a great gloss and no signs of botched bodywork underneath. Code S Midnight Blue Metallic is the trucks original color, so you dont have to worry about mismatched door jambs and underhood areas, because its all equally well done. Its also not afraid to wear a lot of bright chrome trim, including the beefy bumpers, egg crate grille, and side trim that fits neatly into the groove running the length of the body. And we love the cab lights and bed-mounted spare for an industrial look. The 8-foot bed will carry a lot more than youd expect, and with a recent spray-in bedliner, its ready to work or play. If you do take to driving this Ford every day, the interior is a great place to do it. Freshly upholstered with a black seat cover that looks right in the vintage F-100, plus a heavy black rubber floor mat for low maintenance, it is ready to go immediately. Fords familiar square gauges show crisp, bright markings, although theyre only watching the basics of speed, temperature, and fuel level, which is why there are auxiliary dials tucked under the dash. A custom overhead switch panel on the headliner includes controls for the power windows and other controls, and a modern Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo powers speakers built into the headliner itself. The three-spoke steering wheel feels suitably beefy for a big truck like this, and despite its blue collar origins, this is not a bad place to spend some time thanks to all the new components. The fresh and torquey 351 cubic inch V8 topped by an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor is the right combination of power and efficiency that youd look for today. Both the engine and transmission were very recently rebuilt so the engine bay is nicely detailed and not too far from stock. Dress-up parts like the Edelbrock air cleaner and valve covers help with the performance look, and theres Ford Blue on the block. A fresh alternator provides plenty of juice if youre, say, towing a trailer or installing a camper top in the bed, and with power steering and brakes, its easy to drive no matter the load. Fords rugged twin I-beam suspension isnt the most precise setup ever devised, but it rides incredibly well for a big hauler. Out back, theres a 9-inch, which is equally rugged and according to the door tag, it carries 2.72 gears, which are great for highway cruising. The dual exhaust system offers modest mufflers so its quiet out on the road, and while its not detailed for show, the chassis is really clean. The 2-inch lift and slick black wheels (full spare mounted in the bed!) look awesome on the big Ford and use giant 265/60/18 Cooper radials to keep them off the ground. Clean old pickups like this still represent great value, and one that can double as a hobby vehicle on weekends while still working for a living is a bargain in anyones book. And with an awesome look like this, we know this F-100 wont last long. Call today!
Every vintage pickup was once a workhorse and each has a story to tell. So the one you really want not only still looks good, but in the case of this 1977 Ford F-100, it also has unique tale to share with your friends. The newer silver paint certainly makes this truck distinctive, but dont forget to check out the details, too. For example, the stainless body line moldings really showcase the straightness of this styleside pickup. The upgraded 15-inch polished wheels look great against the silver. While this is a vintage machine, it also has the right features to still earn its keep. After all, those tie-down anchors on the side not only add to the shine, but also theyre great for securing a load. Below the rear step bumper is a modern trailer hitch. You might have noticed the North Carolina vintage license plate on the front. This truck really earns that distinction once you take a look at the trim tag. This Ford was ordered by district 22 Charlotte, North Carolina. So its over 40 years later, and this pickup is still selling out of its home region! Inside the silver theme continues, and now its joined by a nice blue with a coordinating metallic undertone. You see it best on the recently redone bench seat. While it looks good, this seat is also more comfortable, and thats the theme of this pickup. Its meant to be a fine driver with upgrades like the AM/FM/cassette stereo, working A/C, and full auxiliary gauge trio. Fords reliable and powerful 302 cubic-inch V8 is ready for you under the hood. It has an honest and well-maintained presentation, but theres also a bit of flair thanks to the bright air topper and those bright blue valve covers. More importantly, it fires up readily and idles smoothly. Plus, the glasspack-style dual exhaust has the right vintage truck tone. The full package feels nice on the road thanks to the three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and Fords twin I-beam front suspension. Plus, you have the added road holding of front disc brakes and Cooper Cobra tires at all four corners. This vintage F-100 is turn-key ready for all-day work or play. Its a great classic truck that has a story to tell, and you get to write the next chapter. So dont delay, call today!
This 1977 Ford F-100 Custom Explorer has big V8 power, an A/C interior, and plenty of upgrades inside and out. So take a look at the value price now because this one might not last long enough in our showroom for you to read the whole listing. That paint youre staring at isnt black...its black cherry. That means it looks dark as midnight until the sunlight hits it, and then some deep red tones start to come out. In other words, you wont be able keep them away at the car show. And this is truly ready to be shown off with the condition and alignment of the sheetmetal. Plus, bright bumpers, polished wheels, and terrific silver stripe package really look terrific against this dark hue. And even the details are nice with items like the Explorer hood ornament. Best of all, this classic pickup still knows how to pull real truck duty. Theres a Sure-Step rear bumper complete with trailer hitch. And the color-matched ARE tonneau cover protects the carpeted bed, so you have plenty of secured storage. Inside is a nice mix of performance and comfort. Its a handsome presentation where the exterior dark red is now joined by black on the door panels, carpeting, and cloth seat. And the condition of it all tells you there has been a nice investment here. You get all your favorite classic pickup truck features, like the easy-to-read gauges and sliding rear window. Plus, this has been upgraded with the best additions like an AM/FM/CD stereo with Bluetooth and modern R134a air conditioning. And the sports steering wheel and Sun tach mounted on the column get you ready for the performance under the hood. The 400 cubic-inch V8 was one of the largest powerplants you could get in the F-Series lineup, so its great to see it under the hood of this truck. Plus, it inhales deeply thanks to an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and Weiand intake. You can really hear the added performance in the rumble of the dual exhaust. But more than just powerful, the fresh presentation tells you this has been cared for correctly and the way it fires up readily reaffirms this feeling. Add in the three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and front disc brakes, and you soon realize this is a powerful and versatile total package. Complete with owners manual, this is all-around nicely done truck. The affordable price is just the cherry on top of this black cherry classic. So dont miss this deal, call today!
