If you grew up during the 70s, youll be relieved to know that Chevy trucks are finally getting their due for something that weve always known: theyre just flat-out cool. Basic and rugged, sure, but also handsome in a leathery, hardened kind of way that is all business. Dressing them up with beautiful paint and a potent V8 sure helps, and in the case of this short bed/regular cab 1977 Chevrolet Scottsdale 4x4, it shows that theres just no way to build an unattractive one. They ALWAYS look good. At first glance, this might just look like another nicely preserved Chevy C/K-series pickup. But get a little closer and youll discover that the bright finish is quite nicely done with a deep shine that looks great on this vintage pickup. And if youre going to look that closely, you need to nail down the bodywork, so this one is arrow-straight and doesnt look like its ever had to work for a living. It was resprayed about five years ago, so there are signs of use and age, but you wont be unhappy with this one in your garage. It also comes from down south, so rust is a non-issue here, and even the bed, which is protected with a spray-in bedliner and a flush-mounted tonneau cover and bed rails. After all, it IS a pickup truck, right? A bit of stainless dress-up, chrome bumpers, and big mirrors all give it a flashy look without diluting its heavy-duty attitude. A red interior works well with the red paint, and the cloth bench seat is a throwback to the era when this truck was brand new. The upholstery is a bit faded but remains in good order and pretty accurately replicates when you might have received when you ordered a new upscale Scottsdale back in the 70s. The instrument panel is fitted with a comprehensive array of factory gauges that are a little faded but still keep an eye on the upgraded engine up front. Matching red door panels are in fantastic shape, and simple rubber mats mean you dont have to worry if youre a little dirty when you climb aboard. The most notable upgrade is an AM/FM/CD radio that powers upgraded speakers, and the factory A/C is fully operational. This truck was originally powered by a 305 cubic inch V8, but not too long ago, someone decided to drop in a thumping 350 cubic inch GM crate motor. Topped by a 4-barrel carburetor, its a torquey, eager partner whether youre on-road or off. It looks mostly stock and keeps a low profile when youre just driving around and it runs superbly, as youd expect. Theres a giant radiator up front to keep the small block from getting cranky and factory exhaust manifolds feed a pair of glasspack-style mufflers that give it a burly soundtrack to match its look. The chassis is pretty original so its a bit crusty, but you can easily see that this truck lived someplace warm its entire life. A TH350 3-speed automatic transmission feeds the original transfer case and axles, and the manual locking hubs mean someone was serious about off-road traction. Factory Rally wheels look great and help offset the weight of those big 31x10.50- radials. So for you fans of big, burly 70s pickups, this one offers great looks, strong V8 power, and a dash of practicality, too. Call now!
Neat and clean in White with splashes of chrome, this is a great looking Silverado. The mid-70s pickups are more popular than ever these days. They have modern classic styling, drive well, and are capable of getting the job done without a pile of computers complicating things. Check this one out. The crisp clean body lines of this pickup are a great starting point for the look of this truck. From the side you see a crease running down the mid-line from front to rear. That is paralleled by the top line of the fender that flows cleanly along the top of the door and then the bed. It gives the truck a really solid look. There is a Silverado badge on the fender and a splash of chrome trim around the wheel wells. Up front a chrome billet grill of horizontal lines keeps the look clean and is underlined by a simple bumper. The cowl induction hood hints at the beast within, but does so without screaming it out with a bunch of stripes or lettering. Things are kept equally simple and clean out back in white and chrome and the bed has been coated with spray in bed liner. Complementing the look are 5-lug Eagle polished alloy wheels. Open the door and you will find a stock interior that is a comfortable place to put some miles in or get some work done. The door panel has controls at your fingertips for the power windows and locks along with a comfortable armrest for cruising down the road. A 4-spoke steering wheel mounted on a tilt column with the shifter for the automatic transmission sits in front of a stock dashboard. The tach and speedo are front and center with the fuel, temp, oil and voltage gauges off to the left. Ventilation controls, including those for the updated R134 air conditioning to keep you cool are in the center. A Kenwood stereo is there for your listening pleasure and there is a sliding back window. The cloth bench seat is comfortable with plenty of room for three across with the shifter being mounted on the column. Pop the hood with the big cowl induction bump on it and you will find a very healthy, 454 cubic inch, big block. There is a chrome air cleaner topping an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock Performer 2.0 intake manifold. Those 454 valve covers nestled under the alternator and A/C compressor shine through because they are polished up chrome, and because big block valve covers are huge. There is a new brake booster and master cylinder along with a new battery and newer belts and hoses. Long tube headers get the exhaust heading back through glass pack style muffler that give the truck a healthy sound and the power flows back through a 3-speed automatic transmission to the rear wheels. Front disc brakes provide good stopping ability and the rubber meets the road through 255/70R15 tires all around mounted on those great looking Ridler wheels. Neat, clean, comfortable, and more than capable with a healthy 454 under the hood. Come on down and check out this Silverado.

1977 Chevrolet C20 Custom Cheyenne flatbed was converted by a family member to be used as a farm truck to haul hay and wood. Purchased in 1978 as a farm truck, it was rarely used. Flatbed was added about eight years ago. One man with six vehicles can still only drive one at a time, so the mileage shown is original to this truck at 35,267 miles. For a forty year old truck it is in great shape. It starts easy, runs smooth and performs like new.
