Act now, because this may be one of the last chances you have to buy a clean TR6 for under $25 grand. Prices have been inching up steadily on these awesome little roadsters, and this one-owner 1976 Triumph TR6 makes it easy to understand why. With a brawny inline-six, fantastic styling, and timeless charm, the TR6 is on the verge of becoming an A-list collectable. With a classic look augmented by a few smart upgrades, this is British sports car distilled to its purest form. Not fully restored, but beautifully maintained and upgraded as needed, the result is a bright red roadster with great lines and a ton of charisma. The TR6 might be the most handsome of all the Triumph TR-series roadsters, and although its merely an updated version of the TR4, the styling updates came together just right and the car is ideally proportioned with great style. The paint is 70s bright and in decent condition, although a professional buff would really wake it up, and it has a single pinstripe to highlight the little kick-up behind the door. It has a sporting look beyond merely cute roadster and thats likely why these cars are appreciating so rapidly. It also features the traditional blacked-out tail panel and big chrome bumpers with the rubber over-riders as required by the feds, but they look right today. This really is a great looking car. Settle yourself behind the wheel and youll discover its also a great driving car. Youll discover the joys of minimalism when youre in it, as the car seems to fit you like clothing and theres very little insulation between you and the driving experience. Nicely preserved black buckets offer good support for sporting driving, and the pedals are ideally placed for heel-and-toe shifting. That dashboard is genuine wood and filled with lovely Smiths gauges that are elementally British. A wood-rimmed steering wheel dances in your hands during aggressive driving, letting you know exactly what the front wheels are doing and the 4-speed shifts neatly, although the engine makes so much torque its often unnecessary. Theres even a decent amount of trunk space for a weekend trip and an AM/FM head unit for entertainment along the way. The black convertible top is in decent condition and stows easily, and if youre doing it right, youll only need it for emergencies. The reason for the top-down driving is the engine, which has one of the most wonderful exhaust notes this side of an Aston-Martin. The 2.5 liter inline six is plenty potent in the lightweight roadster and thanks to proper maintenance all its life, this one runs like it should. Twin carburetors inhale through a factory air filter assembly and the condition of all the little parts, clamps, wiring, and fasteners suggest someone has always loved this car. Its not detailed for show, but theres plenty of recent service work and you cant argue with how it runs. The aforementioned 4-speed shifts beautifully and thanks to a new clutch, action is light so youll feel right at home within a few miles of getting behind the wheel. The all-independent suspension is a pleasant surprise on a car in this price range and the exhaust system sounds spectacular a full bore. Minilite alloy wheels are always right on a British roadster, and the 185R15 Michelin redline radials are very much like what it would have worn originally. This TR6 is fully sorted, and has been owned by an experienced enthusiast, so it works as it should and is a delight to drive. Call today!
Rarely do you get to find survivor-grade classics that look this good. But this 1976 Triumph TR6 is an exceptionally original example of the quintessential sports car (with the paperwork to prove it.) its stunning look today tells you it has lived a careful life. So if youre a true connoisseur of road-carving machines, read on for all the details. This one has such a vibrant green that people will ask what the modern colors name is. But the cool part is you get to tell them that its the correct Java Green this TR6 was born with. In fact, this shows all signs of being original... and that will seriously impress most enthusiasts. After all, these Triumphs are known for being terrific drivers machines, and so they spent the early years on the open road. Most show signs of heavy enjoyment even before the 1980s. So to find the rare example that still looks this originally vivid all these decades later is a true conversation piece. More than just the paint, people will love the details, like the Union Jack on the rear fenders, bright luggage rack on the trunk, and classic redline tires on factory wheels. Plus, the full-length pinstripe not only highlights the straightness of the body, but it also draws extra attention to the sporty kick-up in the door line. The black interior looks great against the minty green exterior, which is exactly what you want on a convertible thats meant to be open to the world. Just like the exterior, this is highly original and exceptionally well presented. In fact, since this comes with a complete car cover, boot cover, and interior tonneau, you can start to understand the superior level of protection from the elements this car received over the decades. Plush carpeting and bucket seats make for a nice place to spend some time. Plus, theres plenty of premium wood on the steering wheel, gearstick, and dash. And speaking of the dash, youll love the original elements like the full Smiths gauge package and AM/FM radio. But more than just the right survivor-style, the TR6 is a great classic because its one of the few British sports cars that offer roll-up windows and an easy folding top. So if your sunny day road trip ever turns gray and rainy, you can stay protected for the way home. Under the hood is the original 2.5-liter motor, and this even comes with original owner information card to prove this is the original block to the car. The engine bays presentation is a lesson in proper preservation right down to the factory decals. The way this one fires up with gusto is another reminder of the care this car has received over the years. And with the dual Stromberg carburetors feeding the motor, theres plenty of power to move this lightweight convertible in a hurry. This powerful acceleration is in your full control thanks to the four-speed manual transmission. Equip with fully independent sport suspension and front disc brakes, this TR6 really embodies the nimble British roadster. The sale not only comes with the owner information card, but also the original bill of sale and owners manual. It all proves that this is likely the most exceptional TR6 you can get your hands on right now. So dont miss your chance, call today!

For many, the Triumph TR6 is the pinnacle of the traditional British roadster. It has a powerful inline six motor and fully independent suspension, so its the perfect mix of vintage, nimble, and fun all for quite an obtainable price. While all classic British roadsters are attractive, the deep red seen on this one seems to perfectly convey sportiness and sophistication - all in the first glance. As you start to look around the car, be on the lookout for some subtle features that give this a more aggressive and individual style. The front chin spoiler, cats eye headlight covers, and quad exhaust tips do a great job of adding sporty appeal without taking away from the classic British panache. And the TR6 really has a ton of style. The way the hood and the fender join to integrate the headlight housing; the stylish profile kick-up within the doors; and the racing-inspired flat rear end with a hint of overhang its all what makes this true sporty style on wheels. The black convertible top looks great against the deep red exterior, and with one hand you can fold it back to show off an equally well-coordinated back interior. A car like this is meant to be open to the world, so not only do the black components look great, but there are some nice detail touches, too. For example, the walnut grain wood on the dash is a premium look that also coordinates nicely with the rest of the black components. And the retro-style radio adds a modern AM/FM digital tuner without looking out of place in a 70s machine. But more than just look nice, this is a true drivers machine. You feel it the moment you slip into the bucket seat. Your left hand loves the sports steering wheel, and your right arm finds an ideal balance with the armrest center console and the stick shift in the perfect position. Plus, it wouldnt be a true British classic without a full set of Smiths gauges. The TR6 is particularly coveted for its motor. It has 2.5-liter inline-six backed by dual Stromberg carburetors, so its one of the most powerful lightweight British roadsters of the era. You can tell this has been treated correctly by the tidy presentation in the engine bay. And as you dig deeper, youll see details like crisp belts wires, and hoses. Theres even an aluminum radiator with electric fan to help keep it running cool. The motor fires up nicely and knows how to pull this lightweight machine with real authority. This powerful acceleration is in your full control thanks to the four-speed manual transmission. Take the long way home, and youll instantly fall in love with the way the fully independent sport suspension and front disc brakes handle in this roadster. The full feeling is a hypnotic experience that will instantly remind you why the British are known for driving passion. A well-finished European classic droptop like this has serious appeal, and so at a price like this, you know you need to hurry if you want to take it home. Call today!!!

1976 Triumph TR6 Convertible. This TR has rust in the typical places. The tub, doors, bonnet & boot lid are steel and in generally decent condition. The fenders are fiberglass (Plastic?) and are straight and undamaged. The tub has seen at least one restoration involving fiberglass repairs along the rear fender seams as well as work on the floors. The frame has surface rust, But I have not removed the body in an effort to discover the full extent. I have observed no structural damage. The motor turns. The transmission and drive shaft have been removed and do not convey. The independent rear suspension appears to be complete and intact. I do have a Triumph 4 speed transmission that can be purchased separately. The seat tracks are gone. Most of the interior is missing. The convertible top frame will require clean up and repairs, while it is intact, a few of the rivets are broken. As pictured, there is no top. Leyland Motors acquired Standard-Triumph in 1960, and soon began producing the lovely little British sports cars enthusiasts know and love today. Built between 1968 and 1976, the Triumph TR6 is truly an iconic British motor vehicle. These cars are loved by American enthusiasts for their low entry cost and, of course, the fun factor of a sporty British classic. This final year TR6 has a lot going for it: Not only is it the final year of production, but it also is covered in a rare Mimosa Yellow with Chestnut interior, equipped with the desirable overdrive option and carries with it receipts to prove how nearly every nut and bolt has been replaced to make it an extremely road worthy car. The last year of the TR6, this yellow beauty is outfitted with the proper 2.5-liter six-cylinder engine, this car is a great example of a very high-quality driver or weekend vehicle. The paint is in excellent condition and shows well, while the interior is clean and free of any glaring damage. No doubt this Triumph will transport the operator back in time when behind the wheel! This little car is an absolute riot to drive and is sure to turn heads in this Mimosa yellow paint anywhere you take it. The lack of power steering on the road actually makes you genuinely feel connected with the vehicle and is almost welcome in a car like this. A naturally aspirate British 2.5-liter may not sound like much, but in this little rocket, it is plenty! You can row through the gear quite easily, and when you put your foot down she really moves. Overall, this Triumph is in excellent condition having undergone a restoration not so very long ago. The current owner has had nearly every part of the steering and suspension replaced as well as some exhaust components. Most importantly, he has the receipts to prove it! Two other noteworthy items listed in the work was the gas tank was removed, cleaned and boiled before receiving a fresh coat of paint and placed back in the car. They also opted to replace the outdated rear suspension with the rear shock conversion kit and a rear sway bar. Both the front and rear suspension including the brakes were completely gone through and replaced. And when you get behind the wheel it shows. Additionally, the car is accompanied by the Certified Copy of A Factory Record from the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust to verify things such as options and original paint color. This is a well-presented piece of British history that would be absolutely impossible not to have a ball in! All this puppy needs is a new owner! Nice, clean car.....NO RUST...excellent chassis, body, floors, fairly nice original green paint, excellent door and panel fit, 145 psi compression in every cylinder, no smoke, 90 psi oil pressure when warm, new radials, tubular headers (perhaps a reason the engine revs so quickly and feels more powerful than a stock TR6) four pipe exhaust, new reduction gear racing style starter motor. Seats and carpets were recently replaced, has new sear belts, all original gauges work, Original top is very good and just had new plastic windows installed. We are fitting a new trans mount, new tie rod end boots, new sway bar bushings, very clean engine bay, very good original wiring and electrics, recently installed new calipers and flex lines, a lot of 'classic sports car' for the money.
