1974 VW Beetle Bug - ConvertibleEngine has just had a total overhaul and runs like a clock. Body is in great condition; original w/ MINIMAL rust! No hidden rust pockets in the paint or underside of the bug; this is the one you've been looking for. It has been tucked away in a garage for the past 20 yrs. Upgraded disk breaks all around. Drop top frame is in good condition but the cover has a tear in the bottom where it meets the backside of the bug. Not a storm ready vehicle but perfect for this upcoming summer beach cruising weather. Great looking, sounding and running VW bug looking for a new home. Happy to answer any questions to my best ability.
If you ever ran around in a Beetle convertible with your friends when you were young, then you probably have some great memories. If you never had that chance, then heres another one. Or maybe its a first chance for another generation. They are fun! Drop the top, pile in, and head out. Check it out. This car looks ready to blend right in with the outdoors in its Sky-Blue paint. Its a classic body style that everybody, no matter how young or old, can identify. There have been more of them produced than any other car ever made, and anywhere you go with the car you are likely to find a community of fans which makes driving these cars that much more fun. By 1974 the cars had gotten a bit bigger, mostly up front with more luggage space, but did it without losing the curves of the fenders and shape of the hood that so defined the look of the car. The dark Blue roof folds up and down easily for protection from rain or intense sun, and also for the winter time, because being a rear engine car, it gets traction that might actually get you up a snowy hill that leaves many new cars stranded. After all, it is snowy and mountainous in Germany where it was designed. Open the door and you will find a nice white interior. Go ahead, leave the top down when you hit the beach or run errands, it wont get that hot. The door panel has a pattern of horizontal pleats and has a nice little door pocket that was added at the same time as a fully carpeted interior which was part of the luxury upgrade the Super Beetles received. Part of the charm of the car is how simple and iconic they are, but those two things were pretty nice additions. The bucket seats are comfortable and vinyl, so it doesnt really matter if they get a little wet from a rain shower or bathing suit, and your back-seat passengers will remember the adventure more than anything else, although if it is going to be a cross country trip, they better be young, flexible, and very adventurous! The dash is as simple as it gets with one gauge, the speedo with a couple indicator lights, and a stereo upgrade might be a reasonable consideration for this car. The opposed 4-cylinder engine tucked under the lid at the back of the car was enlarged to 1600 ccs and improved to make more power and be easier to service. But first, let talk about the sound of that motor. Its as iconic as the shape of the car! It has a distinctive sound you can hear while its pumping out its 60 horsepower and you are shifting through the 4-speed manual gearbox on the way down the street. The suspension was redesigned in the Super Beetles too with a new trailing arm design in the rear and MacPherson strut in the front suspension which really improved the ride and handling. The rubber meets the road through 165/80R15 tires mounted on chrome wheels with chrome VW hub caps for that classic Beetle look. This car is fun! Climb in, drop the top, and head out for some adventures. Come on down and check it out.

The Beetle needs no introduction as it is probably the worlds best selling cars and quite particularly the longest running one-design automobile as the shape really never changed beginning in the 1930s. The Super Beetle began production in 1971 and was a standard Beetle just a little larger offering more cargo and leg room. The engine being used at this time was a 1600 CC with twin-port cylinder heads putting out a whopping 50 HP, nearly double of when the Beetle first came on scene. This particular Super Beetle is a the last year they made the larger version and is a absolute joy of a car to be around. This car was consigned recently coming out of 23 year ownership. The car was restored in 1996/1997 with new paint, floor pans, mechanicals and interior. The odometer was replaced in 1996 and piecing the info together puts total mileage of the car since restoration at about 5,000 in the over twenty years. I have all the receipts, picture history of restoration, owners manuals, two keys, service manuals and car cover. This has been a very cared for beetle that is ready to be enjoyed instantly. This car runs, drives and stops with perfection and garners attention wherever it goes.To see over 80 photos of this car, including undercarriage please visit our website www.grautogallery.com

It has a 4 speed manual transmission, and is painted a great light blue color paint with a black top that is in excellent shape! 1974 Volkswagen Beetle VW Bug This is a good looking, good running bug. Paint and interior in decent shape. Extra parts and books. New front tires & spare, good back tires. 1974 Volkswagen Super Beetle. The carburetor and the distributor have been completely rebuilt/replaced. New brakes. The engine was rebuilt in 2013. The tires have good tread. Manual transmission.
1974 Volkswagen Beetle that is in great original condition. Everything is there and original. If you would love to have a super solid vw, this is it. It has been painted sometime in its life and could use another paint job. Its not terrible, but not show worthy either. It has just a tiny amount of rust. ( including pic of it) Pans are great. Even under the battery! I have the original tool kit, manual and dealer documentation. The odometer shows 45,135. Its definitely been babied for the past 43 years. Everything works, even down to the door buzzer! Only issue is the emergency brake light stays on when the brake is disengaged.
