This is a very well maintained classic cruiser that the family can proudly show or take to cruise in. The odometer reads 56K miles and talking to previous owners and looking at receipts I believe the mileage to be original and correct. Receipts date back to 1988. If you are looking for a quality GM "A" body (CHEVROLET CHEVELLE, CHEVROLET MONTE CARLO, CHEVROLET MALIBU, PONTIAC LEMANS, PONTIAC TEMPEST, PONTIAC T37, BUICK SKYLARK, BUICK GS, OLDSMOBILE CUTLASS, OLDSMOBILE 442) you may want to consider this car. PAINT - BODY: The paint and body are in great shape. The previous owner stripped it to bare metal and had it painted the original Bamboo Yellow, he removed the vinyl top and painted the top saddle brown ( I can see a little bronze in it also and it looks great) about 10 years ago and it still looks great. The paint is smooth as a baby's butt and just received a professional clay bar, wax and sealant detail by "Focus on Detail" in Orange Park, FL. And it shines like a diamond in a goat's butt. The undercarriage is clean, solid and dry. INTERIOR: The interior is nice, clean, dry and mostly original. At some point the carpet, front seat padding, radio and steering wheel was replaced. The windows roll up and down with ease and I just had the windows limo tinted. The A/C blows cold, the heater blows hot and the tilt wheel works. All gauges and interior lights work. The interior was also detailed. SUSPENSION-BRAKES-WHEELS-TIRES: The car drives great and tracks straight. All suspension components work well and are in good working order. The power brakes are in fine working order. The wheels are in fantastic shape and painted the same color as the top. The BFG T/A's have plenty of tread left on them. ENGINE -TRANS: The engine runs strong and burns nothing and drips nothing. The transmission shifts smooth through all ranges. The previous owner told me the eng/trans were rebuilt about 25K miles ago (he was maintenance nuts with this car and a little eccentric). They did not need to be rebuilt, but a buddy owed him money and did not have the money so paid him with car parts, so the guy had it rebuilt. While the engine was out, he figured he might as well have the transmission rebuilt also. Early December I had the original carburetor professionally torn down and a total rebuild was performed, new Magna Flow mufflers and exhaust work, new points, new spark plugs, new spark plug wires, timing set, etc... The car looks, runs and sounds great. I would not hesitate to turn the key and drive anywhere on the planet. I bought this car to keep it as I really like the 68-72 "A" body cars (my high school car was a 72 Pontiac Le Mans Sport). However, my wife does not share my passion and does not want to see it at our house much longer . Furthermore, I found out that the phrase "Do whatever you want to do" does not really mean that at all!! I WILL BE AS FAIR WITH THE PRICE AS I CAN AND I WILL CONSIDER ALL REASONABLE OFFERS. We all know the legend about the 442, but what about a 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass 502? Olds may have never made something this beastly from the factory, but now is your chance at a slick custom coupe that has been given a serious power upgrade all for an affordable price. These third-gen Cutlass coupe bodies are arguably the best cars from the era. Olds took the pillarless hardtop body and gave is a true fastback style. Plus, you had great lines, like how the front fender seamlessly runs through the door. And 1972 was also the last year the bumpers were so form fitting. So these really had that ideal balance of sleekness and sophistication that perfectly described an Oldsmobile. It all looks particularly nice today thanks to a more recent upgrade to a deep burgundy color. And while the 442 badging hints classic muscle car power, the 18-inch Ridler alloys suggest theres a bit more modern performance within this special coupe. Just like the exterior, the interior mixes classic pieces with the right upgrades. The wide bench seats, wood-like accents, and button-top door panels remind you this is a cool cruising classic. And new carpeting keeps it feeling fresh. Plus, you have been upgraded to an AM/FM/CD stereo w/aux input for the best in modern tunes. And as you get into the drivers seat, this one really speaks to your senses. A wood-rimmed Grant steering wheel, upgraded TPI gauge panel (w/large tach,) and B&M shifter are all clear indications of something nice under the hood even before you twist the key and hear it roar. One look at the engine bay and you realize how serious a machine this really is. The 502 cubic-inch V8 is a modern performance crate motor that know to eat the streets. Plus, it has all the right features like a large Holley dual-feed four-barrel carburetor, aluminum intake, fabricated aluminum valve covers, and aluminum heads. This monster motor growls to life as long tube headers add even more power while also contributing to the thunder of the H-pipe dual exhaust. Plus, the suspension components have been upgrades, too. It includes strong tubular A-arms up front, fully boxed rear arms, and sway bars front & rear. And no matter if youre out to own the streets or just cruise them, youll appreciate features like the three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and front disc brakes. Complete with build receipts, this is a sweet classic that offers brutal power. So when its given an obtainable price like this, you know you need to hurry if you want to take it home. Call today!!!
