This 1971 Ford Mustang convertible will always have a place in classic car history as it represents a cool transition of the original pony car stretching its legs into muscle machine territory. This particular Mustang has a hoss of an engine with its V8 351 Cleveland powering its horses. This was the first appearance of a major restyle, and it followed Detroit’s maxim of lower, wider, and longer. These cars have nice design touches such as the line that follows the front fender all the way through the door, and a recessed back panel that gave it a sporty overhang in the rear. The Mustang was given these elongated lines to create a meaner appearance, and aggressive is exactly how this convertible was built to look. The factory correct color of Wimbledon White has a great sheen to it, contrasting nicely with the black convertible top. The black vinyl bucket seats match the accents on the exterior, which always looks cool with the top down. The seats, carpets, door panels, and dash all have a deep darkness, which keeps it looking good when this Mustang is open to the world. This has a great classic feeling, right down to the AM/FM stereo and correct trunk mat. Under the hood this Mustang has a correct 351 cubic-inch V8. It keeps to proper H-code appearance with the big air cleaner and Ford blue paint on the block. Everything looks neat and clean, which reinforces the feeling this one received the right investments along the way. This has a solid feeling out on the road, and in fact, you'll enjoy it easily with great features like the three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and front disc brakes. Great colors, the right features, and a value price this is a great all around classic for the first person who grabs this deal. Marti Report available.
This 1971 Ford Mustang convertible will always have a place in classic car history as it represents a cool transition of the original pony car stretching its legs into muscle machine territory. So its great to find such a bold one that has everything from V8 power to an A/C interior for such a nice price. 1971 was a great year for the Mustang if youre a fan of American flair. This was the first appearance of a major restyle, and it followed Detroits maxim of lower, wider, and longer. These cars have nice design touches such as the line that follows the front fender all the way through the door, and a recessed back panel that gave it a sporty overhang in the rear. The Mustang was given these elongated lines to create a meaner appearance, and aggressive is exactly how this droptop was built to look. The factory-correct Grabber Yellow has a bolder shine thanks to a professional clearcoat respray later in life. Its also the perfect backdrop to all the dark accents. This includes the Mach 1-style triple stripe, soft top, front spoiler, rear spoiler, and NACA hood with blacked-out paint over the dual ram air openings. Finishing off this speedy image are proper Magnum 500 chrome wheels. The interior is factory-correct and the exact right color for this convertible. The black vinyl bucket seats match the accents on the exterior, which always looks cool with the top down. The seats, carpets, door panels, and dash all have a deep darkness, which keeps it looking good when this Mustang is open to the world. Ford was going for a premium feeling with the Mustang during this era, so you get some nice wood paneling touches on the door and the factory dual-spoke steering wheel. This has a great classic feeling, right down to the AM/FM stereo and correct trunk mat. But one upgrade that you dont see, but will absolutely feel, is the modern R134a air conditioning. It really lets you enjoy this convertible comfortably with the top down. And any time you need to button up, its just a touch of a button with the power folding roof. Under the hood this Mustang has a correct 351 cubic-inch V8. It keeps to proper H-code appearance with the big air cleaner and Ford blue paint on the block. Everything looks neat and clean, which reinforces the feeling this one received the right investments along the way. Even the dual exhaust has a sweet rumble thanks to a newer stainless unit. This has a solid feeling out on the road, and in fact, youll enjoy it easily with great features like the three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and front disc brakes. Great colors, the right features, and a value price this is a great all around classic for the first person who grabs this deal. Call today!!!

Our Kansas City Showroom is proud to offer this beautiful example of what an iconic second generation Mustang should be. The 1970 s welcomed many things we are glad to forget such as bell-bottom pants and disco but one thing to remember is the second generation Mustang. This very well restored 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Tribute has a serious 429CID Cobra Jet under the hood paired to a smooth shifting C-6 Automatic Transmission. Originally, this Mustang started out its life as a 1971 Mustang Fastback M-Code. At first glance, you notice the gorgeous sweeping body lines that are exaggerated underneath the gorgeous Red paint. The paint is laid down professionally and the original Mach 1 style trim let s the rest of the road know that you are not just another Mustang. All the chrome looks show worthy and this Mustang is a toy that demands attention every time it is enjoyed. The 1970 s saw a gas crisis that limited production of high powered, big horsepower cars and ultimately ended the horsepower wars between the American muscle car companies that thrived off what the public wanted. The second generation Mustang was short lived and definitely holds a place in automotive history. The desirable color combination resting on chrome rally wheels make this 71 Mustang a timeless classic that will always look appealing. With nicely upholstered high back bucket seats, power steering, power brakes and AM/FM Cassette, this Mustang makes driving a blast every time you get behind the wheel. Now for sale in our Houston showroom is this gorgeous Dark Ivy Green Metallic 1971 Ford Mustang Grande. The 1971 Mustang was introduced in September of 1970, and was offered in three body styles including hardtop, sportsroof, and convertible; all of which had an additional 3 extra inches added to their width vs. their predecessors. This was done partially to enable Fords massive 429 CID V8 to fit, without needing an extensive suspension redesign. The new 1971 hardtop featured a prominent tunnelback rear window design with flowing rear pillars, a completion of the styling exercise that began with the outgoing model. Hardtops with Grande trim gained a vinyl roof and Grande badges on the C-pillars. This dominant Mustang Grande sports its correct Dark Ivy Green Metallic paint (color code C), but adds a custom two-tone brown synthetic leather interior, which closely resembles its original 4F Medium Ginger cloth and vinyl trim; yet provides a more modern appearance. This 1971 Ford Mustang Grande is powered by its original 351 CID 4BBL Cleveland V8, backed by its original C6 3-speed automatic transmission, which spins a set of 3.00:1 gears out back. We offer this 1971 Ford Mustang Boss 351 for sale in our Atlanta Showroom. If you want to stand on the top of the pile, then a Boss 351 sits at highest point for the blue oval. How could a 351ci V-8 of 1971 grab bragging rights over the likes of 428 Cobra Jets and Boss 429s of the 68- 70 muscle car era? In the pantheon of early Ford Mustangs, muscle car cognoscenti place the 71 Boss 351 at the pinnacle for e.t. s through the quarter-mile. The various Fifty Fastest muscle car lists. Most lists placed the Boss 351 at the top of the e.t. ladder of any first-generation Mustang. The consensus of opinion is the Boss 351 was superior to all other first-generation Mustangs in the quarter-mile. What made a Boss 351 so powerful compared to bigger-cube V-8s in the Ford arsenal? The torque of a big-block with the revving ability of a Boss 302. Another plus for the Boss 351 was the absence of a power-robbing Thermactor smog system. Those Cobra Jet 428s and Boss 429s, not to mention the smaller-cubed Boss 302s (not even close to a Boss 351 in the quarter-mile), each came with a Thermactor smog pump and hoses. And then there s the carburetion. The Boss 351 ran an Autolite with a spread bore configuration, while Boss 429s and Cobra Jet 428s utilized Holley four-barrel carburetors. Also, the 735-cfm Holley used on the Boss 429 wasn t the best-flowing carburetor for the quarter-mile, as the engine was designed and tuned for NASCAR racing. The much smaller Boss 302 came with a 780-cfm Holley, great for high rpm on a road racing course but not for street driving or drag racing. The Autolite brand did not inspire much awe in the old days. But those carburetors did work great. And in the restoration era, the Autolite has become a valuable treasure..In a manner of speaking, the Boss 351 is, The best of everything. This Boss 351 just looks so much like a muscle car. Options include: Bias Ply Tires, Power Brakes, Power Steering, AM/FM radio. Rally Wheels, Vinyl interior, Tilt Wheel, and seat belts. To view the vehicle in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com. 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1 with 82,000 original miles. The car is stored in a climate controlled garage since I purchased in December 2015. I am selling due to other interests and space. When I purchased the car I had it completely gone thru and tuned to perfection at The Performance Center in Jupiter, Florida. The car is in excellent condition and runs flawless. There is approximately 1,000 miles on the rebuilt 351 Cleveland, 2 V, Automatic. Upgraded Trick Flow Heads, bored 30 over. Also have original heads and they have been redone. A mild cam and roller rockers were also installed. Tube headers and a PYPES Exhaust System. The car has a fully functional Ram Air Kit. The Mach 1 is riding on Keystone Rims with P255/60 R15 BF Goodrich Radial TA tires. Tires have plenty of tread and look great. The exterior has had one repaint. No rust. The car has had quarters installed and one passenger side patch panel. Very minimal scratches and very few chips. The front bumper has some cracks in the paint. The passenger side fender has paint cracks above the wheel well. There is some bubbling where the quarter panel meets the roof on both sides. All original glass in excellent condition. Interior is all original except for new dash pad and headliner. Seats are great with a seam separating on driver seat which can be repaired. The car has factory AC but the compressor, evaporator and brackets are included but will need to be installed. The original AC for this model is terrible and is AC is desired I strongly recommend a aftermarket system. I have included the MARTI REPORT which shows all factory options and production totals for the car. The car is located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and is available by appointment only.

The Boss 351 Mustang was the new high-performance Ford Mustang variant that was offered by Ford beginning in 1971. In 1970 Ford cancelled their previous performance models the Boss 302 and Boss 429 as a result of increasing insurance premiums, and tighter emissions standards. Ford also withdrew from factory sponsored racing and therefore no longer needed a car that held the big block 429 engine. All of these factors led to the introduction of the Boss 351 in 1971. GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this 1971 Ford Mustang Boss 351 to the global market. We are pleased to offer this 2 owner, highly original 1971 Ford Mustang Boss 351 to the Global automotive community. This car features its R-Code 351cid engine mated to a 4-speed transmission with the optional wide ration gears that is shifted by a Hurst T shifter. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a 3.91:1 Traction Lock differential. This car also came with many factory options such as power steering, rim bow-deluxe steering wheel, tinted glass and an AM/8 track radio. In 1971 Super Stock and Drag Illustrated said about the Boss 351 that, "Its looks and absolutely unique idle were attention-getters like those of few other cars in recent memory." And that remains true even to this day. With only 1,806 of these cars being produced in 1971, this car comes complete with a Marti Report and original build sheet.
