If you want a musclebound Chevelle, you can track down some old heap and restore it, making it just what you want. Or you can simply come in and buy this 1971 Chevelle SS hardtop thats already got all the good stuff, including a big block and factory A/C, and costs a lot less than what it would take to build it yourself. Big bad Chevelles never go out of style, and while 1971 wasnt the peak for performance from the factory, today they can be fortified with some of the nastiest powerplants ever devised. Many fans also prefer the 1971s single headlight look, which seamlessly blends with the rounded A-body shape. Thanks to a dedicated restorer, the sheetmetal looks quite good with straight panels that are worthy of being covered in that sizzling yellow paint. Its not a trailer queen, but the shine is brilliant and believe me, nobodys going to argue with a car that looks like this, especially not with a big block under the hood. Painted-on black stripes, a cowl-induction hood with pins, and SS badges are additional warning signs that this is not a car to be trifled with on the street. Chrome bumpers, nice stainless trim, and those four round taillights out back are every bit as distinctive as the engine note. Factory buckets, a center console, and a horseshoe shifter are the highlights of the nicely refinished interior. Correct black reproduction seat covers give the Chevelle an upscale look thats also quite comfortable, and the wide back seat is good for road trips. Factory gauges cover the basics and the round gauges were only found in the SS models, so this one is probably legit. It feels plenty potent from behind the wheel and once the engine fires, nobody will be asking questions. The coolest shifter in the world lives between the seats and the carpets are protected by matching black rubber floor mats. Theres also an AM/FM/cassette stereo in the original slot, cold factory A/C, and in the trunk youll find correct spatter-finish paint, a reproduction mat, and a full-sized spare tire. But you and I both know the reason we love Chevelles is because their engine bays are big enough to handle the biggest of big blocks. In this cars case, its a brutal 402 cubic inch V8 with goodies from all the big names. Theres a proper cowl-induction air cleaner on top, proudly advertising this is a 402 with 345 horsepower, big block chrome valve covers, and all the cast iron is coated in Chevy Orange. Spend a weekend cleaning it up a bit and you will have one nasty A-body. Power steering and brakes mean that having that big chunk of horsepower over the front wheels isnt a chore to drive, and the quick-shifting TH400 3-speed automatic transmission snaps through the gears with authority. Theres also a 12-bolt out back, durable enough to handle the big blocks power, and with twin Magnaflow mufflers the soundtrack is like an angry god is chasing you. Charcoal SS wheels are one of the better-looking choices for a street brawler, and the look will never go out of style. Fat 15-inch BFGoodrich T/A radials give it just a bit of rake that makes all the difference. This is already the Chevelle you were planning on building for yourself, all finished and ready to enjoy. All you need to do is pick up the phone and call!
Fresh Body Off Chevelle SS Restomod Build LS3/525hp V8 6-speed Leather A/C /// This incredible Chevelle is only double-digit miles out of a detailed, frame-off restoration that involved a full strip of its body and complete disassembly and blasting of its frame. And today, the car wraps wet-looking Tuxedo Black and Antique White 2-stage around fresh trim, a functional Cowl Induction Hood and era-correct Super Sport branding. Test-fitted multiple times, then installed so its modern AC componentry is hidden low on the block, this Chevelles big-torque V8 is a vaunted LS376/525 that was sourced directly from Chevrolet Performance. Behind that mill, a McLeod hydraulic clutch kicks a Tremec T56 6-speed, which spins a 3.5-inch aluminum driveshaft. On the other end of that driveshaft, a trusty Ford 9-inch uses friendly, 3.50 gears to push an adjustable 4-link rear-clip. That clip, equipped with Pure Muscle control arms, a beefy sway bar and QA-1 coil-overs, pushes an upgraded front-half thats finished with tubular control arms, a second large sway bar and two more QA-1 coil-overs. Power-assisted stops are provided by The Right Stuff Detailing discs. Turns come courtesy of power-assisted steering. And everything rolls on chrome Ridler 645s, which lap 225/45ZR18 Sumitomo HTR ZIIIs in front of 275/35ZR20 Sumitomo HTR ZIIIs. Check the cars Super Sport-spec interior and youll find a familiar muscle car aesthetic thats had modern convenience integrated where it counts. The front seats are heavily bolstered units that were sourced directly from TMI. Front and center, a monochromatic dash founds white-face telemetry above Bluetooth-capable RetroSound audio and components for Vintage Air conditioning. And the driver enjoys the cars power through a short Hurst shifter and a reproduction Rally Wheel. This cool Chevelle is your 525 horsepower chance to stand out in the crowd of Chevrolet royalty. How do you even begin to describe an all-out awesome build like this 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS? Do you start with the slick paint? The huge investment in a custom interior with full sound system? The performance-built big block pumping under the hood? There are just too many great details of a coupe that youre going to need to read all of this. So lets start with that paint. Its called Brandywine, and it knows how to be both sophisticated and bold all in the first impression. This is due to a deep metallic element that loves to radiate the sunshine. And those form-fitting bumpers, full trim, and upgraded polished Ridler wheels all signal that shine is a central theme to this classic. But just because this coupe has been pampered, doesnt mean it has lost its aggressive muscle car attitude. The cowl induction hood, painted black SS stripes, and 18/20-inch front/rear aggressive stagger of the wheels keep this a street-eating machine. If you love the burgundy and black of the exterior, then youre going to love the color of the full custom interior, too. The beautiful leather setup takes smooth black and adds diamond-stitched red inserts throughout the car to deliver one of the most unique and uniform interiors around. Best of all, you have power windows just to make you never have to leave the drivers seat to roll them all down and let the world get a full view of this show-stopping presentation. Plus, there are other great upgrades like a power drivers seat and a Kenwood AM/FM/CD stereo connected to a thumpin full subwoofer stereo system. But dont forget this is a muscle car. In fact, the horseshoe shifter, sports steering wheel, full gauge panel (w/tach), and auxiliary readouts will never let you forget it. Under the hood is what we all love to see in a Chevelle: big block power. Not only do you get a 454 cubic-inch V8, but it inhales deeper thanks to a Holley dual-feed four-barrel carburetor. Plus, the long tube headers add even more power while also contributing to the thunder of the dual exhaust. The TH350 three-speed automatic transmission has a stall converter to keep you in the optimal powerband, and this feeds a stout 12-bolt rear end. You got the right suspension components like sway bars front & rear as well as boxed trailing arms (signs of a true Super Sport.) Plus, there are the right driving pieces like power steering, front disc brakes, and brand new performance tires. This is the iconic muscle machine with a ton of unique style and powerful substance to back it up. Something this unique and desirable never stays available for long, so hurry up and call today!
Big block power, four-wheel discs, and the freshly rebuilt transmission are just some of the headlines on this distinct 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Tribute. So dig into all the details, and soon youll see an iconic muscle machine at quite a nice price. The paint makes a bold first impression. Turquoise Mist has a terrific gloss and shine that keeps this bright hardtop so memorable. Add to that the dual Super Sport stripes, cowl-induction hood, and appropriate badges throughout, and soon you can see that distinction also has aggression. But even without all of these great standout SS features, you know you love this Chevelle. 1971 is arguably one of the best years for these coupes with the single headlight setup and streamlined rear deck. Plus, the way the mirror-like rear bumper hugs the sheet metal while incorporating the taillights is a masterful touch that will never be repeated again in manufacturing. And for that final touch of distinction, this one has 18-inch Boss alloys that hint to everyone there are plenty of performance upgrades beneath the skin. For the same reason you like the black stripes against the turquoise paint, youll love the all-black interior. The seats, door panels, headliner, dash, and carpeting all have a nice deep and dark appearance. This is meant to be a true muscle machine, and so youll love the bucket seats with an armrest center console in-between. Plus, you have nice driver upgrades like the wood-rimmed three-spoke sports steering wheel and the auxiliary gauge trio that keep you informed on whats going on in the engine bay. Take some real time to appreciate what you see when you pop the hood. We all love to the sight of Chevys famous big block 454 V8, and this one is quite distinctive. You get the classic orange block, bright air topper, and the 454-branded valve covers bridge the gap between the two. It all radiates with power from within the dark engine bay. It inhales deeply through a four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with that special big block thunder as headers feed the dual exhaust. And more than just a monster motor, this Chevelle has been upgrade to be a terrific driver. Thats why you have four-wheel disc brakes, modern performance tires, power steering, and a freshly rebuilt TH400 three-speed automatic transmission. This is a true dream muscle car. After all, a 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Super Sport with its original LS5 big block, four-on-the-floor, and factory-correct distinct color combo is exactly what we all want. So dig into all the details, but just know, it only gets better from here. You can instantly tell there was a lot of time, care, and money invested in keeping this unique classic in this condition. The Nevada Silver is the factory-correct color, but it has been given a modern professional respray to give it the kind of clearcoat shine the factory never could. The result is a coupe that truly looks like precious metal in the sunshine. And this one is car worthy of distinction. You can see its premium presence in everything from the mirror-like chrome bumpers to the black vinyl roof. But more than just a first-class appearance, the coupe also carries all the aggressive touches that make this generation a muscle car icon. The dual stripes, real-deal cowl induction hood, blacked-out grille, hood pins, and proper SS badging on every side its a true mean machine. It even carries the correct SS wheel package that ushered in a new era of Super Sport Chevys. We always love it when the exterior accent color matches the interior its another sign of a top-quality car. Plus, theres arguably nothing better in a proper muscle car than a black interior. Thats why were happy to see the seating, door panels, and dash look so deep and dark. Even the headliner was recently replaced. Chevelles were the intermediate size cars in 1971, and by todays standards, theres plenty of room across the two benches to comfortably take family and friends along for the ride. But this SS was built to make sure the driver was always the priority. The dual-spoke steering wheel gives you a commanding view of the whole dash everything from the large factory tach to the upgraded AM/FM/cassette stereo. And you know that shifter is calling out to your right hand right now! Take some real time to appreciate what you see when you pop the hood. We all love to the sight of Chevys famous 454 V8, and this one was done right. The satin black fender walls really funnel your attention the freshly-painted big block. And this one looks correct, right down to the lip around the air topper for the true cowl induction hood. Its also a desirable LS5 motor the last of the great Chevelle big blocks. So you really get to impress everyone even before you tell them its the numbers-matching powerplant. But a muscle car like this as made for much more than just point at the engine. This big block fires up with a terrific growl. And a stout motor needs the best gearbox, so you also have the original Muncie M22 close-ratio four-speed manual transmission. Oh yeah, it has the Rock Crusher! Plus, with a thick sway bar up front, boxed trailing arms in the rear, and front disc brakes, this one has the right features to really eat the streets. Now you know all the details why this original big block Chevelle is a true dream car. But only one person gets to make it a reality. Dont miss you chance, call today!
Big bock power, shining paint, and an A/C interior headline an already impressive package. After all, whose muscle car dreams dont already include a 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle done in full Super Sport appearance? GMs A-body aged quite well during the muscle car era, and even in 1971 it was still one of the top predators on the street. That means theres no need for subtleness. Thats why you want it painted bright red with black SS stripes like this one. But it takes more than just investing in a professional paint application to make a memorable muscle car. The cowl induction hood, hood pins, and correct SS wheels mean the details are aggressive, too. But theres another side to this coupe. The straightness of the sheetmetal, the taut black vinyl roof, and the way the chrome bumpers fit snugly against the body all give this a feeling of premium, too. All the black stripes on the outside are also a nice preview of the all black interior. Plus, with the fresh headliner, dash pad, and carpeting, this is a nice place to share with family and friends. Theres even an updated AM/FM radio w/digital tuner and modern R134a air conditioning to keep everyone happy. Of course, the one who will always enjoy this hardtop the most is the driver. The grippy NK4 steering wheel, full round gauge panel, and auxiliary readouts give your senses the tingle of performance. Under the hood is a terrific presentation as the Chevy orange looks like its radiating from within the dark black engine bay. And the shine of the valve covers, air topper, radiator shroud, and much more just add to this performance flair. Plus, you get to tell admires that this is an era-correct block. More than just look powerful, this 402 cubic-inch big block inhales deeply with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor. And it exhales with authority as headers feed the rumbling dual exhaust. This is the kind of total package youre going to want to show off everywhere, and so they make it easy with power steering, a three-speed automatic transmission, and front disc brakes. SOLD.....SOLD..By 1971 the days of the big-block Chevrolet Chevelle were on the wane. The crowd-pleasing LS6 was gone, a victim of increasing government regulations and rising insurance costs. But that did not mean that performance was history. The Chevelle SS returned with the option of a 350 CI engine, the L48, which used a Rochester four-barrel carburetor, a mild hydraulic cam and dual exhaust for a rating of 270 HP. The L48 offered very good performance without the fuel bills associated with the big-block engines, making it a solid choice as the gas crunch loomed. This lightly Resto Modded 1971 SS convertible is powered by the L48 350/270 HP small-block V-8 in concert with a 3-speed automatic transmission and heavy-duty 12-bolt rear end. Slick Tuxedo Black paint and White Sport stripes decorate the arrow straight exterior, which also features hood hold-down pins, chromed wheel-arch trim and a vacuum-operated cowl-induction hood. The car’s nose-down stance is the result of new 2-inch dropped coil springs and staggered diameter 19-inch front and 20-inch rear Intro alloy wheels wearing Continental radials. Optional equipment includes power steering and disc brakes and factory air conditioning updated to R134a refrigerant. The interior presents the rare combination of bench seats with column shifter and includes the SS-standard round gauges with tach and clock, a factory AM/FM and 8-Track player, tinted glass and a new power top that has never been down.

Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to list this stunning 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Convertible. This car is turn key and fire right up just ready to hit the streets. Nothing like the sound of a Chevy V8 engine and in a convertible to really make you enjoy a summer night cruise. The 1971 Chevelle was treated to new front-end and rear-end styling that included large Power-Beam single-unit headlights, a reworked grille and bumper, and integral park/signal/marker lights. FoMoCo, GM, and Mopar all offered multiple cars with big block V8s that had (conservative) horsepower ratings in the 400 range. Chevrolet introduced the mid-size, A-body Chevelle in 1964, offering many different body styles and a plethora of engines including three inline sixes, two small blocks and even a big block 396. The next revision came in 1968 when the Chevelle embraced more of its muscle car lineage. The newly updated body would continue on the success of the originals and would make a perfect predecessor to the 1970 models. Enhancing on the success of the 70 model year, the 71 was introduced with revised front and rear fascias, now with half as many headlights and twice the taillights. The once again updated body was one of the most iconic shapes of the muscle car era. In SS trim, the car mandated at least a 350ci V8, as well as HD suspension, blacked out grille, SS rear trim, and wide oval tires on sport wheels. Less than half of all factory production Super Sport equipped cars possess the potent LS5 454ci V8 engine!
