Gateway Classic Cars Ft. Lauderdale showroom is proud to offer this one of one 1970 Moulin Rouge and Black Plymouth Duster. This Duster is the only one known to exist with this color combo. The Duster coupe provided the compact sized Plymouth Valiant with a sporty body style. The Valiant badge only appeared on the first model year Dusters. Built on the Valiant platform, they shared the same front end, but had a different design from the cowl back. Designed to compete with The Ford Maverick, the AMC Hornet, Nova, and oddly enough the VW Beetle. This beautifully restored 1970 Duster is a matching numbers masterpiece. And was featured in Mopar Magazines April 2005 edition. With all the factory markings reapplied to the finished restoration. Every grease pencil mark and paint splotch went back where the factory placed them. At the 2004 All Chrysler Nationals at Carlisle, this 1970 Duster occupied a place of honor in the invitational building along with other illustrious factory show cars. The Black vinyl interior looks as good as new and feels just as comfortable. One very rarely finds a muscle era Mopar with a contrasting color painted roof. Powered by the original 340 V8, mated to a four speed with the shifter placed before a black bench seat. A 3.55 Sure Grip rear end makes it easy to light up the F70-14 Polyglas tires on the 14 Ralleys. This one of a kind 1970 Plymouth Duster is an absolute blast to drive and will most likely get more attention that any vehicle it pulls up next to. Options on this magnificent 1970 Plymouth Duster include AM/FM Radio, Power Brakes, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, and Rally Wheels. This 1970 Plymouth Duster is located in our FT. Lauderdale Showroom and can be seen in greater detail, including a High Def video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1970 Plymouth Duster 2-Door Coupe for purchase. As the Barracuda grew in dimension, the hole it left in Plymouth lineup was filled by the Duster. The Duster produced a sporty, inexpensive compact that was a lot of bang for the buck. The Plymouth Duster was introduced in 1970 was all Valiant from the cowl forward, but the rest of the cars sheet metal and door skins were completely different. The design incorporated a semi-fastback roof and a special rear valance with twin horizontal taillights without bezels. It was built to compete with the slightly smaller Ford Maverick and the slightly larger Chevrolet Nova. This car is powered by a healthy 360 v8 with a 727 automatic transmission. The Duster was originally a 340 4 speed car. The engine features 340 X heads and a steel crank. The car is set up for 10 : 6 compression and runs in the 11.50s for the quarter mile. Other highlights include a 3,000 stall converter, 8 posi traction rear end, 456 gears, fuel cell in trunk, power cut off and jump points, roll cage, racing slicks, Auto Meter gauges and more. The car comes with multiple log books over the years and information about the build of the car. The car has been run approximately 10 times since last rebuild. This is a ton of car for the money and is set up and ready for its next race.... Read more

Up for sale we have a 1970 Plymouth Duster HEMI. Often the forgotten A Body Plymouth, this Duster is guaranteed to leave a lasting impression thats impossible to forget. It sports a killer look that is paired with an even more impressive driveline. This is not your average grocery getter as it features a pro built HEMI engine, and yes it is street legal. This was the first year for the Duster and true to the late 60 early 70 styling it has the semi-fastback roof. Looking at the body you will notice its all appears rock solid from top to bottom! The doors, hood, and trunks gaps are all excellent. All the panel alignment and body fit is also great. The body is covered in the Vitamin C Orange paint thats accented by the Black Side Stripe, Rear Valance Stripe, and the Black Six Pack hood with the Hotchkiss Hood Pins. As you look over the paint job you will see that it has been buffed and polished a gorgeous finish that shows off the laser straight body. The bumpers appear to have been replaced at the time of the restoration along with the door handles. The rest of the trim and stainless is all very nice with minor imperfections. To finish off the look its sitting on a set of custom 17 American Racing VN501s with new Tires! On the inside, its done in the Black color scheme that provides the perfect complement to the exterior. It comes with bucket seats in the front and still has the back seat. The seat covers have been replaced along with the headliner, carpet, and door panels. The dash pad has also been replaced and it has had the gauges updated. This is what we all love!! It sports a 400 Big Block that has been stroked to a 434 Cubic Inch with a stage 5 HEMI conversion.
