Mustangs dont get much better than this 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 fastback. Aside from maybe a Boss or perhaps a Shelby, a Mach 1 is at the top of every collectors wish list. This one packs an M-code 351 Cleveland motor, a manual gearbox, a very unusual color combination, and a ton of documentation. Its already won a lot of awards, so maybe its time to put this A-list pony in your garage. Repainted recently, this very unusual code 2 New Lime Mach 1 fastback looks like a million bucks. Well, maybe not a million, but these have been inching up in value pretty much every year, indicating that there are more than a few collectors out there who appreciate their good looks and brilliant performance. The finish is rendered in modern urethane, which gives the stunning light green hue a depth that the original finish just couldnt match, and the satin black stripes with 351 callouts on the hood seem to hover above the surface. The panel work is quite good, and since it has already been driven you know you wont hurt it, which is a good thing since youll probably want to drive it every chance you get. The ribbed moldings along the rockers are crisp, and the rear window louvers and spoilers are the same satin black as the stripes, all of which give this Mach 1 a very predatory look, and yes, thats a hood tach which is one of the coolest accessories of all time. Inside youll find-what else?-Fords Comfort-Weave black bucket seats, and they fit the Mach 1 like a tailored suit. All the soft parts, including the seats, door panels, dash pad, and headliner have been restored, and new carpets finish the floors. The instruments show quite well and the woodgrained inserts on the dash, door panels, and center console are in good condition, giving this sporty Mustang a contrasting luxury feel inside. The original AM radio has been replaced by a modern AM/FM/cassette unit that still looks quite authentic, a nice touch that suggests that the restorers believed in originality. The gauges all work although the rim-blow steering wheel does not, which is common on these cars. Theres also a wood shift knob for the 3-speed manual gearbox, and youll be pleased by how easily it falls to hand and how naturally quick shifts happen. Open the deck lid and youll find the trunk offers a reproduction mat and a surprising amount of space, especially with the fold-down rear seat. Travelling is exactly what youll want to do once you hear that 351C under the hood bark to life. In the world of Fords, there are two versions of the 351 cubic inch small block, and the high-revving Cleveland is the one to own for performance. Restored to stock specs, the Ford Blue powerplant still wears its original air cleaner and stock valve covers, along with a 4-barrel carb. Other details are correct as well, including the hose clamps, decals, and the Ford Blue engine enamel. The aforementioned 3-speed powers the original 9-inch rear, which carries comfortable gears inside, making this a fine highway cruiser when youre not running hard. A fresh exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers sounds spectacular and it rides on a set of unusual 14-inch steel wheels with Deluxe wheel covers (yes, theyre hubcaps!) and 205/60/14 white letter radials. Documentation includes a Marti report, factory build sheet, owners manual and restoration photos, so you can buy this one with confidence. You simply wont find a nicer Mach 1 for less money anywhere. Mustang fans, this is how you do it right. Take the best-looking Mustang of them all, paint it metallic silver, give it a burly 408-inch stroker motor and a 5-speed transmission, then go have some fun. Showing only light signs of use since it was finished, this is an extremely high-quality resto-mod thats ready to cruise or show at almost any level. Its hard to tell from photos, but this is one of those rare cars thats even nicer in person than it looks. Thousands of dollars are wrapped up in the paint job alone and it shows. That gorgeous silver paint is just the right shade and the bodywork is excellent in every way. Its not perfect, but man, this car sure gets some attention here in the showroom. The 1970 sportsroof was arguably the best-looking Mustang of all time, and with upgrades like the cowl-induction hood, chin spoiler, window slats, and rear wing, it certainly looks the part of a high-performance pony. The blacked out look with satin black stripes and a matching grille give it a traditional yet modern look, and we especially like the way the stripes wrap around every bit of the car. Chrome bumpers sparkle against the bright silver paint and most of the stainless trim was polished up to look like chrome. This is a really impressive car! The interior has been fully restored to stock specs as well, complete with black Comfort-Weave buckets and a fold-down rear seat for practicality. Looking inside, youd be hard-pressed to see any of the modifications, and it looks quite stock save for the slightly smaller wood-rimmed steering wheel. This is a factory A/C car, so the system was retained and upgraded with modern hardware and youll note there are five gears showing on the shift knob. Trick Dakota Digital gauges light up when you turn the key and have an adjustable background color so you can custom tailor it to suit. An fantastic Kenwood touchscreen entertainment system has Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and even a back-up camera. There are Mustang-logo rubber floor mats to protect the carpets and the trunk is correctly finished with black carpets and a spare tire with matching cover. The engine is a 408 cubic inch Windsor V8, which is one heck of a torque factory (how about 468 horsepower and 568 pounds of torque at the rear wheels?). It looks intimidating under the hood, with Ford Performance dress-up and a no-nonsense look. Upgrades include a FAST fuel injection system, Edelbrock intake manifold, MSD ignition system, and a bigger Comp Cams camshaft to give it a bit of a lope at idle. The engine bay is nicely detailed with lots of trick features as well as upgrades like the big aluminum radiator and serpentine belt drive system. Long-tube headers and a custom exhaust system with X-pipe give it a spectacular sound and handling is bolstered with Koni Red shocks, new bushings, and traction bars for the rear end. The suspension was lowered to give it just the right stance and those polished Torque Thrust wheels look fantastic with staggered 245/45/17 front and 275/40/17 rear BFGoodrich T/A radials. Beautifully built and ferociously fast, this is a car that nails the resto-mod movement: stock looks, improved performance, and lots of comfort. Call today!... Read more

Mustang coupes represent one of the biggest bargains in the old car hobby today. Often living in the shadow of their convertible and fastback siblings, cars like this 1970 Ford Mustang Grade coupe offer the same performance, same handsome interior, and same street presence, all for less cash. Talk about a win-win situation! Refinished a few years ago, this slick pony is just more proof that theres no such thing as an ugly 1970 Mustang. Its wearing correct code 2 Light Ivy Yellow paint, which is how it came from the factory, and it still looks appealing today. From the wide-mouth grille to the sport mirrors to the traditional three-element taillights, this car is pure American fun from any angle. Finish work is extremely good, particularly for a car in this price class, and offers a high-visibility shine and excellent gaps, all of which make it stand out. Subtle details reveal themselves after you get acquainted, such as the Mustang script on the front fenders, blacked-out tail panel, and twin chrome tailpipes sticking out below the bumper. Add in a nicely done white vinyl roof, and you have a great-looking pony car that will be the center of attention but one that never seems to be trying too hard. High-back bucket seats anchor a nicely finished interior in the original code AG Ivy Green Houndstooth, which is extremely attractive. Coupes and fastbacks shared the same parts, and from behind the wheel its almost impossible to tell them apart. The deeply set gauges look sporty and in this car appear to be in completely original condition, and we believe the door panels are original equipment as well. The carpets and dash pad are in such good shape that they have to be fresh, and the woodgrained appliques on the doors and console are bright and crisp. Options include factory A/C (needs to be serviced) and an unusual AM/FM/8-track stereo in the dash. The trunk has been lined with sound-deadening materials so this Grande sounds suitably hushed inside, and a full-sized Magnum 500 wheel and matching BFG radial are a nice find. Performance is entertaining, too, especially when youre carrying a great-running 302 cubic inch V8. Rugged and easy to maintain, the 302 is a great choice and thanks to an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor and intake manifold, theres plenty of performance on tap. Inside theres a mild street cam so it pulls hard but isnt fussy, and MSD supplied the coil and distributor to light it up. The engine bay is neatly detailed with a chrome air cleaner and Ford Racing aluminum valve covers and its nice to see details like original-style hose clamps, which suggest someone really cared. The transmission is a C4 3-speed automatic feeding a stock rear end with 3.00 gears inside, making this a low-stress cruiser. The exhaust system is very recently installed, including great-sounding mufflers and those cool chrome tips, and its impressively clean underneath. Handsome Magnum 500 wheels always look right and carry 225/60/14 BFGoodrich T/A radials all around. Neatly sorted and ready to enjoy, this high-visibility Mustang will get admiring glances anywhere it goes. Even more importantly, youll feel like a million bucks from behind the wheel. Call today!... This is just a great-looking, great-driving 1970 Mach 1. Thats it. Well, actually, thats quite a bit, because its also one of the most popular pony cars of all time and this particular pony offers a torquey 351, an unusual color combination, and a strong pedigree. It seems like most of the Mach 1s are bright yellow, and it was one of the more popular colors in 1970. But this Dark Ivy Green Mach 1 stands out without being an extrovert. The paint is a few years old and shows a few signs of use, but overall it really has a great shine and depth that is shown to great effect by the grown-up color combination. With nice sheetmetal underneath, the kick-up behind the doors, the pointed hood with a built-in scoop, and a deep chin spoiler all work together to make this car aggression on wheels. With black stripes running along the hood, the ribbed rocker moldings, and Mach 1 callout on the rear fascia, theres no question what model this is. Out back, you get the honeycomb rear panel, classic three-element taillights, and a deck lid spoiler that looks better here than on just about anything else with a wing this side of an F-14. They kept the chrome bumpers, so theres a bit of sparkle at both ends, and window slats are always welcome on a fastback Mustang. Mustangs offered a great driving environment, and this car comes complete with Comfort-Weave bucket seats (in black, of course) and a center console. The seat covers and door panels might be original or older replacements, and the carpets are in excellent condition. The stock instruments are in good condition, albeit a little cloudy, and it carries heavy-duty floor mats to keep it looking tidy. The T-handle shifter falls easily to hand and feels natural the first time you drive it, and the woodgrained accents on the console and door panels are part of the Mach 1s upscale sport theme. A modern AM/FM/cassette stereo has been stuffed in the original radios location and the factory rim-blow steering wheel is in decent condition with a crack at the 12 oclock position. The trunk is finished with a correct plaid mat, full-sized spare with cover, and a pair of speakers behind the rear seats. The engine is a great-running 351 cubic inch Cleveland V8. Although you could get a Mach 1 with a 428, the Cleveland makes nearly as much power with far less weight over the nose, so its a tidy handler. Its pretty stock, but this is the upgraded 351 with a 4-barrel manifold, a matching carb up top, and plenty of low-end torque. With the Ford Blue paint and factory air cleaner, it has a 60s performance look and it really is a neat fit in the Mustangs engine bay. Backed by a C4 3-speed automatic and a 9-inch rear, you dont need to worry about romping around with your foot on the loud pedal, especially since youve got power front disc brakes to help keep you out of trouble. A reproduction exhaust system gives it that traditional Mustang sound and we can spot new shocks and a fresh gas tank underneath. Thanks to those 15-inch Magnum 500 wheels, it also carries grippy 215/70/14 performance radials that elevate the cars ride and handling in a big way. Full of potential, this Mach 1 doesnt worry about pedigrees as much as having fun and looking great. This is a reasonably affordable way to enjoy Fords most in-demand pony car. Call today!... If you are a Pony car enthusiast looking for a killer ride, come on down and check this car out. With a complete rotisserie restoration from the ground up, its as clean as it gets. The car has a great stance, and it sounds awesome! It is a sleek, mean, muscle machine just looking to put a grin on its next owners face. This car presents a super clean look in Red and Black. The only badge on the car is a Pony galloping across a red, white and blue badge on the grill. The lines are kept simple and clean with black horizontals for the grill, which also incorporates the headlights, outlined with simple chrome trim and underlined by a pencil thin chrome bumper. The hood is blacked out with the center accent line leading into the hood scoop. From the side, the light dances off the upper creases of the front fenders, then follows the curves of the bulging rear fenders, meeting up with the fastback line of the roof and turning up with the lip of the integrated rear spoiler. Nice. The view from the back of the car (the one quite a few people may be seeing) is bold with the center panel surrounding those iconic triple taillights blacked out. It is framed by the red body work of the spoiler and wide rear fenders and underlined by another simple chrome bumper. Open the door and you will find that the black and red theme is tastefully continued on the interior. The door panel has a red insert surrounded by black with a slash of chrome across the bottom. The high back bucket seats are comfortable with pleated and perforated seating surfaces and a splash of red just under the headrest. A three spoke, deep dish wooden steering wheel has a Mustang horn button in the center and sits in front of a fresh dash with any of the chrome trim blacked out. There is a Kenwood FM/CD player for your listening pleasure and a black shift ball for the 5-speed Tremec manual transmission rises from the center console. Red vinyl floormats protect the black carpeting in the front, and the back seats are also nicely trimmed out, so anybody who wants to join you on cruise night can be comfortable too. As a Restomod, there have been numerous upgrades to the engine and drivetrain of this car. Under the hood you will find a built 351 Windsor nestled down in an engine bay that is polished up and detailed out as nicely as the outside of the car. Underneath the air cleaner is a Holley 750 double pumper carb feeding the engine through an Edelbrock Performer intake and aluminum valve covers embossed with Ford Racing that look great. Long tube headers wind their way out the bottom to a stainless exhaust system and give this car an awesome throaty growl. 4-wheel disc brakes assure that you can haul this beast back down from speed, and power steering as well as a suspension system that has all new springs, shocks, bushings, ball joints and tie rods make the car a dream to drive. The rubber meets the road through 295/35ZR18s in the rear and 245/40ZR18s in the front mounted on Boss Motorsports wheels. Whether you would like to keep it polished up and show it off, or release the beast on the street. Or both. You should come down and check this car out. You might end up becoming its next owner who just cant stop grinning.... Read more

This 1970 Boss 302, equipped with rare Shelby dual-quad induction, is a fully documented, magazine-featured award winner thats considered the ultimate small block Mustang. If youre a prospecting enthusiast whos looking for long-term gains via a pristine example of one of the finest pony cars ever produced, this world class Ford is the classic youve been craving! Not too long ago, the cars solid body was the beneficiary of a thorough restoration that primed bare, mostly original metal for a correct and glossy coat of Bright Gold Metallic two-stage. Once that even pigment was buffed to an excellent shine, a full array of factory war paint tapped into an aggressive demeanor thats both classic and fitting. And today, the car sits as a revered collection of well-aligned panels and ridged character lines that presents a stunning, show worthy appearance. Never disassembled, and still churning to factory specifications, this Fords 302 cubic inch Windsor small block utilizes Cleveland-style heads, a race prepped crank, a solid lifter cam, heavy duty rods and forged pistons to create over 290 horsepower. Behind that motor, a wide-ratio 4-speed spins a correct Traction Lok differential around competent, road-ready gears. At the ends of that drivetrain, standard manual steering combines with power front disc and rear drum brakes to provide competent track capability. In the middle of the floors, a fresh true-dual exhaust system pipes roasted dinosaurs through an H-shaped crossover and thin, glasspack-style mufflers. And at the sides of that exhaust, mirrored Magnum 500s twist meaty 245/60R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/As around galloping horse center caps. This professionally restored Boss is a documented, fully-sorted gem that drives and sounds every bit as good as it looks. Ground Up Built Mach 1 Restomod 912hp Kasse Boss 600ci V8 Auto Leather A/C /// Complementing everything great about timeless Detroit muscle with thoughtful customization and incredible power, this Ford is an extremely visceral version of one of the most popular muscle cars ever created! Displacing an even 600 cubic inches and soaking up $36K of capital before the installation of any ancillaries, this Fords Kaase Boss 9 V8 twists a dyno-proven 912 horsepower and 826 lb./ft. of torque. $5,700 worth of 4L80E 4-speed, sourced from Hughes Performance, makes the most effective use of that monstrous torque. That transmission, installed by Kaase, twists power to a familiar FAB9 housing, which spins Strange internals around big, 3.73 gears. That braced and painted axle rides a Total Control Products 4-bar, which pushes a Mustang II-style front-half. Power rack-and-pinion steering supplies the turns. Braking is equally class, with four Wilwood calipers squeezing four drilled and slotted rotors. And everything rolls on 3-piece B Forged 280s, which twist Sumitomo HTR ZIIIs. Naturally, intense focus was put on this Fords legendary body, with solid sheetmetal finessed for excellent fit. And that metal was eventually bathed in what the owner describes as a Lexus color turned into candy . Between the doors, a $26K cockpit kicks off with adjustable Corbeau buckets, which wrap 4-point Sparco harnesses around plush suede and leather. The cars dash hangs official-looking Auto Meter Cobalt telemetry in a sweet carbon fiber instrument panel. Beneath that dash, a custom, full-length console floats more carbon fiber around a short Lokar shifter and Vintage Air climate control. And in front of the driver, a Billet Specialties Formula Wheel laps a tilting column. Very few classics possess the thrill-inducing performance of this incredible Mustang! 1970 Ford Mustang Convertible The Mustang has been running strong for more than 50 years and the 1969 and 1970 models were where they really went from Pony car to muscle car. Why This Car Is Special This Mustang has been built to be driven and enjoyed with modern conveniences and killer looks. Modern A/C and a 5-speed manual transmission will have you feeling like youre driving a new Mustang. This car is incredibly clean and solid and has been meticulously restored. Mechanical This Mustang left the factory with a 351 Windsor and still retains that powertrain today. It has however been beefed up with an Edelbrock Air Gap intake topped with dual Carter AFB Competition Series carburetors with electric choke for easy starts. MSD provides the spark with a billet distributor, coil and spark plug wires. Cobra valve covers top off the engine and a chrome A/C compressor, billet brackets and billet pullies finish it off nicely. This car has enough show and go to keep anyone happy. Interior The 1970 Mustang interior was both comfortable and sporty from the factory, so it has been left basically stock. The high back buckets welcome you into the drivers seat where you will notice a modern AM/FM radio that is designed to mimic the original style radio. A white shifter ball lets you know the transmission isnt stock, it is now a 5-speed manual. The power convertible top is a lovely blue that contrast the white paint beautifully and has the correct two-piece glass rear window. Exterior Wimbledon White paint is given a bit of flash with a black hood stripe, hood pins, front spoiler and Magnum 500 wheels. Dual chrome exhaust tips exit the rear and contrast nicely to the honeycomb taillight panel. The paint is in excellent condition and is sure to earn praise at car shows. Conclusion If you are looking for a classic muscle car with modern creature comforts, look no further. This car has been restored to as good as new and just needs a new owner to drive and enjoy it. Its slick styling and great color combinations make these cars highly sought after. This example has had a partial restoration with the Grabber Green paint being the star of the show. The car came from the factory that bright green while the black accents were added during the build. The hood scoop is reminiscent of the Boss s and really grab a ton of attention. Underneath that hood is a respectable 302 that sounds as good as the car looks. Mated up to a C4 transmission that was recently rebuilt using an upgraded shift kit and 2300 flash stall this Pony is ready to run. With the Pony s ability to get up to speed taken care of the slowing down part was the next part to be addressed. With all new lines, disc on the front and drums on the rear stopping this fastback is as simple as hitting the pedal. You are looking at an amazing 1970 Ford Mustang Boss Tribute that found its way to our Ft Lauderdale showroom and we are thrilled to have this beautiful car. This is a great 70 s Mustang convertible with only 2 owners in its lifetime. With over $90,000 invested in this Pony, it received a full restoration 15 years ago and still looks amazing. The original 302ci V8 engine was bored to 331ci and was rebuild by Bill Mitchel Racing with less than 12,000 miles added since. This powerful engine is backed by a 4-speed manual transmission, power rack and pinion and with its new suspension by Steeda Autosports, this car drives fantastic. It is equipped with a 9-inch posi rear end, and a gear ratio of 3:55. for excellent stopping power the 302 has power disc brakes on all 4 corners. The exterior presents itself in the famous Ford grabber blue paint with the Boss 302 theme decals. A clean black interior is a perfect match. The car has the original body panels and she lines up beautiful. Original born with an F-Code 302ci V8, this isn t a real Boss but you will be the boss when you drive this muscle car down the road. Be ready to smile because people will take out their phones to take pictures of you in the car. A great sound system is installed but is there better music to listen to than a V8 muscle car symphony? This isn t just a muscle car, this is also a comfortable classic with many options to drive. All in one the Ford is ready for a new owner who will take good care of her. Grab hold of the original Hurst shifter and let it ride!!! To see 100+ HD pictures and a video of this 1970 Ford Mustang Boss Tribute, please visit www.GatewayClassicCars.com.
