1968 Ford Torino. If your looking for a classic car with a good solid straight body with nice opt. Like Power steering, Power bakes and AC well here it is. Has a 302 / auto. Missing the carb. put a carb on it little over year ago and had it running. Motor sounded good. needed the carb back on another car and havent had a chance to get back to the Torino. Last owner took chrome off to get it ready for paint, Chrome is in the trunk and in good shape. Front bumper is off but have it and its also in good shape. Only rust I saw on this car is bottom of drivers fender. Looks to be wearing all its original sheet metal, nice clean quarters. Floors are nice and solid.

Straight from the high-banked ovals of NASCAR, this 1968 Ford Torino GT was the fastback aero champ of the late-60s, at least until the arrival of the Mopar winged wonders. With a matching-numbers 390 cubic inch V8, an awesome color combination, and a very family-friendly interior, this should be your next muscle car. The fastback body style scales up from the Mustang pretty well, dont you think? Big, bold, and looking seriously fast, this code I Lime Gold Torino GT is all about street presence. The paint job was done a few years ago and certainly suits the fastback shape. There are a few flaws, of course, but none of them detract from the vintage NASCAR look that simply screams performance. Black stripes highlight the wonderfully aggressive quarter panels without being excessive, and it wears 390 badges with pride. Of course, the Torino was close to the top-of-the-line, so theres still enough chrome to make sure it gets the point across, and it appears that the bumpers are new and the rest of the trim has been freshened for a very clean look. Perhaps more importantly, the glass remains in good original condition, particularly the giant rear window, which is surely almost impossible to replace. Black bench seats with a 4-speed sticking out of the transmission tunnel make this car feel as sporty inside as it looks outside. The upholstery is in excellent condition, and even the drivers seat shows a minimum of wear. Correct carpets are in equally good shape and its possible that the door panels are original, albeit in excellent condition. The dash has a racy look with four round pods for the gauges, but the Torinos upscale mission is reflected in the steering wheel, which has a woodgrained insert. Auxiliary gauges are stashed under the dash and even the original AM radio is still in the dash. The trunk opening is rather narrow, but once youre in there, trunk space is impressive under that fastback roof line and includes a correct mat, full-sized spare, and jack assembly. With 390 cubic inches pushing it around, this Torino has the moves to match its looks. This is the cars original, numbers-matching S-code engine and it has been recently freshened with bright Ford Blue paint, chrome valve covers and air cleaner, and lots of upgrades like a new Holley carburetor, an upgraded cam, and a big aluminum radiator up front. It idles smoothly and pulls with mountainous torque, and if you want a big block you can drive every day, this is probably it. A new exhaust system gives it a deep, performance voice and the Toploader 4-speed manual transmission is durable enough to handle all that torque. The chassis isnt detailed, but it is quite clean and shows lots of new components, including the power steering system, so you know it doesnt have anything to hide. The door tag says there are 3.25 gears in the 9-inch rear, so its an easy cruiser thats still punchy around town. Cool Magnum 500 wheels with 215/70/14 Goodyear Eagle radials give it the right low, sleek look. Documented with a Marti Report, this is an unusual Ford performance machine with a great pedigree. Fresh off the big ovals, this 1968 Ford Torino GT was the blue ovals logical choice to combat the Chevy Chevelle. With a strong-running 302 cubic inch V8 and a clean fastback profile that looks ready for combat on the streets but youll find that its also a comfortable cruiser. The Torino was the top-of-the-line Fairlane in 1968, and the longer, lower, wider bodywork emphasized the new-found appreciation for aerodynamics on the NASCAR ovals. The Torino got dramatically styled quarter panels to go with its new fastback profile, a kick-up behind the doors that is outlined with the white stripes on this GT. The code T Candyapple Red paint and bodywork were restored not too long ago and its holding up well, although its not a show piece any longer. Fit and finish are quite good, and the bright red finish is appropriate for the aggressive-looking fastback Ford muscle car. All the chrome is in great shape and the unique Torino grille looks like an immaculately preserved original piece. And if you squint just right, youll probably see a bit of fastback Mustang in the rear end, which was surely intentional. Even so, this car stands out in a sea of pony cars. Make no mistake, the Torino is a full-sized car with room inside for six, thanks to front and rear bench seats. And while a bench seat may seem anachronistic in a muscle car, the no-nonsense look works here the same way it does in, say, the Plymouth Super Bird and Daytona. All the upholstery is new, including the seat covers, carpets, and headliner, and the tastefully trimmed steering wheel not only warms things up, but gives the car an upscale feel that seems appropriate for Fords flagship performance machine. Gauges are housed in individual round pods that look racy, and they show rather well with clear lenses and crisp markings. This one was built for one thing and one thing alone, since its light on options save for a quick-shifting automatic transmission and the power steering and brakes, which are a good idea in a full-sized car with this much power. Oh, and it does have a modern AM/FM/Bluetooth radio for entertainment. And theres plenty of room in the trunk, which features a full-sized spare tire with jack. The F in the fifth digit of the VIN means theres a 302 cubic inch V8 under the hood, which came with a 2-barrel carburetor yet still churned out 210 horsepower. And while its impossible to determine matching numbers in the traditional sense with a Ford, all the indications are there that this is the cars original engine. It has been recently detailed with a coat of Ford Blue paint, so it looks like a proper Ford performance machine. A correct air cleaner assembly, plain valve covers, and OEM ancillary components suggest that someone really cared about getting it right. Underneath, its original-looking with factory-applied undercoating, as well as a recent exhaust upgrade that includes glasspack-style mufflers. Handsome styled steel wheels are original equipment, now wearing 225/70/14 Michelin radials that give it a performance look. If youre a Ford lover and want something a little out of the ordinary that isnt a Mustang, perhaps a Torino GT is what youre seeking. Call today!
