Sorry Ford fans, but the first-generation Nova is everything Ford hoped the Falcon would be: stylish, fast, and most of all, cool. From the beginning, Chevys compact was embraced for its combination of timeless styling and the ability to put big horsepower in a lightweight package, and this 1966 Chevrolet Nova hardtop is a fantastic example of how the Nova got it right. Restored and upgraded a few years ago, this one still looks awesome, and the sizzling code 31 Bolero Red paint looks awesome on the crisp Nova shape (thats this cars original color, by the way). Bright colors always look right on 60s muscle, regardless of whether its a Camaro. On a Nova like this, its like a threat, because you cant paint a car this color and not back it up with some serious blasting powder under the hood. There are no modifications to the original bodywork, not even a cowl-induction hood, which I always appreciate, and the car has an ultra-clean, purposeful look thats devoid of emblems, badges, and extraneous chrome. Workmanship is very well done and lets the basic design speak for itself, and in vivid fire engine red, its broadcasting loud and clear. All the trim that remains has been plated, polished, or replaced to give this Nova a bright outlook indeed. Its just clean. With Bolero Red, the only smart choice is a code 779A black interior, which backs up the Novas aggressive looks and is this cars original interior choice. Neatly upholstered buckets wear reproduction seat covers that replicate the original patterns and give the Nova an upscale feel inside. The rear bench features factory-style upholstery, too, and it, too, looks completely unused and like new. Base Novas didnt get a lot of gauges, so this one let the aftermarket come to the rescue in the form of a full set of Dakota Digital instruments under a smoked panel, and the effect is very cool when you turn the key. The steering wheel is a custom unit that looks like 1966 all over again but features a fat rim thats easy to grab and theres a well-placed B&M shifter to your right. An AM/FM/iPod head unit nestles into the original opening in the dash so it looks completely at home there while powering a set of 6x9 speakers on the rear package shelf. In back, the trunk offers correct spatter paint and a reproduction mat. In the light, compact Nova, you dont need a massive chunk of cast iron to make for entertaining performance, and as a result, the 350 cubic inch small block in this provides exhilarating acceleration while maintaining some pretty impressive street manners. Its upgraded with the usual bolt-ons, including an aluminum intake manifold and 4-barrel carburetor and a throaty dual exhaust system. It looks tidy enough, sitting there with its shiny dress-up parts and Chevy Orange paint on the block itself. Its clean underneath, although its purely driver-grade and not detailed for show. However, things like the rear air shocks, new gas tank, and mono-leaf rear springs suggest someone had a plan when putting it all together And for a totally traditional high-performance look, it has been fitted with 14-inch Rally wheels wearing 195/70/14 front and 225/70/14 rear blackwall radials. So go ahead and drool; this ultra-clean Nova proves that good things definitely come in small packages. Call today!... Read more

Pro Touring is about no compromises, and this incredible 1966 Chevy Nova Station Wagon is a prime example. With a thumping 350 cubic inch small block, a suspension hunkered down over gorgeous rolling stock, and a stunning leather interior, its obvious that no corners were cut in the construction. The crisp Nova has always been popular with hot rodders; heck, even the factory got into the act when they stuffed a potent L79 Corvette motor under the hood and created one of the most predatory sleepers ever. And giving a wagon the full pro-touring treatment really makes this one stand out! Rendered in low-key Ermine White, most folks take one look at the sleek, clean lines and figure that it has to be modified, but it isnt. Aside from some shaved emblems and the rear door handles (to give it the look of a 2-door), the rest of the car is original GM steel so the original grille and bright chrome bumpers front and rear look right. The two-stage urethane paint is dazzling in the sunlight, and you can imagine how the heads will turn when you prowl into the parking lot behind the wheel of this one. It might show a few very, very minor signs of use, but the overall look is clean, slick, and very nicely done. It more than lives up to the expectations made by the price tag. The spectacular tan leather interior came with a price tag of more than $12,000 all by itself and it shows. Gone is the original front bench, replaced by a pair of comfortable low-back buckets flanking a custom-made center console. Matching tan carpets and neatly sculpted door panels add to the updated vibe as well as helping to disguise the beast that lives underneath. Upgrades include a full set of Auto Meter gauges neatly built into the original instrument panel, neatly integrated A/C (ice cold, by the way), and a leather-wrapped dash pad. The steering wheel is an OEM unit from a Camaro or Corvette, so thats a nice nod to the past and the entertai9nment system is a $5000 setup thats powered by the touch-screen head unit in the console. Even the cargo bay is beautifully finished, probably too nice to work anymore but imagine hitting the road for the next Power Tour in this cool hauler! One turn of the key will convince you that the money was spent in the right place, because this 350 cubic inch V8 cackles and snarls. Fully rebuilt and featuring goodies like an Edelbrock intake manifold, Holley double pumper carburetor, an upgraded cam, and MSD ignition, it loves to rev but pulls with big torque at any speed. It has clearly been dressed to look purposeful, with beautifully finished inner fenders, a custom molded firewall, aluminum dress-up parts, and hidden wiring and plumbing, all of which was done with aesthetics in mind. A big aluminum radiator helps keep it nice and cool, even when youre in traffic, and even with the big cam, it never seems fussy. The suspension is augmented by an Air Ride setup that gives it that in-the-weeds look and theres a disc brake at all four corners. A 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission sends thrust back to a 9-inch Ford rear end full of 3.73 gears and it rides on a set of cool Torque Thrust wheels inside low-profile performance radials for a true Pro Touring look. This cars extensive list of modifications and equipment really needs more space than we have here, so please give us a call to get the full story. Or better yet, come and see it for yourself, you wont be disappointed. Call now!... Read more

The 1960s were all about installing powerful V8s into lightweight cars, but not everyone got the idea. Thats what makes this highly original 1966 Chevrolet II Nova SS so special. Not too many had a 327 V8 installed at the factory, so this coupe is fast and rare. Someone took very special care to make sure that everything on this Chevy II Nova Super Sport is so well preserved. The exceptional fit and finish help emphasize the Novas clean, straight lines, and the factory-correct shade of Lemonwood Yellow benefits from a professional respray. Keeping a low profile was vital to the Novas street cred, so the classic and understated color lets the hardware underneath do all the talking. Of course, Chevrolet left hints at performance on every side of the car, with special SS badging on the chrome grille, and bright rear panel, as well as the elegant Super Sport script on each rear fender. There were even special hubcaps in this package. So it would be tough to call this car pristine, and authentic, without all these elements in place. Purely stock is the way to go with a car of this caliber. So the correct bucket seats, with a chrome center console in between them, is another hallmark of the SS package. Everything looks factory original, from the chrome accents on the black door panels, to the heat/defrost controls, to even the push-button AM radio. The woodgrain steering wheel gives this all a nice upscale touch, and beyond that are the wide, clear gauges you love on a 60s American classic like this. Lift the hood and youll see a refreshingly unmolested engine bay. The 327 cubic-inch engine shows all signs of being the same one installed at the Willow Run plant in September, 1966. This L30 motor is sought-after, and a somewhat rare option today. Compared to the L79, this one was happy to trundle through traffic without complaint, and has a fat bottom end that makes it the ideal street sleeper. It breathes nicely through a newer performance H-pipe exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers. If this SS is starting to sound like the perfect mix of comfortable cruiser, and intimidating muscle car, youd be right. Thats why it has great features like the stout powerglide transmission, power steering, and power brakes. This is a Nova SS that was a sleeper when new, and now its a preserved with the original owners manual and maintenance receipts to prove it. Its a head-turning classic coupe at an affordable price. We love Novas because they have a sleeper style that can still fit serious power under the hood. So it only gets amplified on a cool custom wagon like this 1966 Chevy II Nova. So while others enjoy the grocery-getter looks, youll be passing them all with a performance-built small block power... and doing it all while riding in A/C comfort. These wagons were more expensive than the Super Sport coupes when new, and so theyre always a rare sight today. Thats why youre looking at a carefully crafted custom with less than 2,200 miles on the build. The freshness is seen the moment it arrives, because the modern red paint was borrowed from a premium Cadillac palette. It has a deep shine from a quality application, and so it really shows off the crisp lines of these Novas. Plus, you can tell more was invested in the brightwork with the bright grille, complete trim, and re-chromed bumpers. And while all those investments make for an eye-catching classic, they also made sure this one leaves hints at its performance heart. The tall cowl hood, racing flag fender badges, and polished 15-inch Boyd Coddington wheels give this one an instant intimidation factor, too. The black interior is just as fresh as the exterior, and they made sure to invest heavily in the right components. This keeps a nod to the family hauler past by retaining the full width benches. But now they are custom units by Street Seats that offer nice bolstering and finished in a supple leather. And even the details are great with all the trim chromed for maximum shine against the black. Because this is a car youll want to share with family and friends, there are features everyone will enjoy like an AM/FM/CD stereo w/Bluetooth, power windows, and cold R134a air conditioning. But the best treats are reserved just for you. The black and chrome sports steering wheel is mounted on a Flaming River tilt column. It gives you a clear view to the custom gauge panel filled with VDO readouts including a large speedo and tach. Youre going to love lifting the hood at car shows, because this one shines so bright. We love all the polished components like the valve covers, air topper, alternator, compressor, master cylinder, and much more. And because its presented in such a smooth color-matched engine bay, you know this presentation can earn you awards all on its own. But more than just look great, theres plenty of substance behind the flash. Its a Chevy 350 cubic-inch V8 thats bored .30 over and has been enhanced and fortified for performance. This includes a steel crank, pink rods, Comp Cams Xtreme Energy camshaft, aluminum roller rockers, Edelbrock aluminum heads, Griffin aluminum radiator, and topped with an Edelbrock intake and four-barrel carburetor. The full setup has been blueprinted and balanced, so you know its a quality street machine. The headers and exhaust are completely ceramic coated so they look terrific. And while youre checking those out in the undercarriage photos, youll spot great suspension upgrades like the TCI front end with tubular A-arms and adjustable coilovers, frame extensions, and sway bars front & rear. This one is great for anything you want on the road because the 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission has a Corvette torque converter with 2,000 RPM stall. And dont forget that this stout unit has an overdrive for great highway cruising. Its this anytime appeal that will make you also love features like the power steering and four-wheel disc brakes. Theres so much on this build that we just dont have the room to list it all. So call us for all the info. Well even go over the included build receipts and restoration photos that document this amazing custom Nova. Dont let this distinct classic slip away, call today!... Read more

In our Milwaukee showroom, we are proud to present this absolutely stunning 1966 Chevrolet Nova. This is one of the most sought-after Nova s made. The body style for this Nova was only a two-year run. 1967 marked the last year of the shoebox Nova style. In 1968, Chevrolet would turn to a more rounded slant back body style. This is the type of Muscle Car one dreams about. The metallic Punaluu Stone paint just grabs your attention, while the almost all new chrome gleams accenting the aggressive Nova look these cars are known for. When you look inside, you will notice redone interior, including the new headliner. Sporting the bucket seats, your eyes are drawn to the new 4-speed Hurst shifter. Yes, you read correctly, 4-speed. The Muncie 4-speed manual transmission is the staple of any true muscle car. Now to the most important part of any muscle car. What s under the hood? What else would be under the hood other than a 327 cid small block. Options include AM/FM Radio Spare Tire and Jack, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Power Brakes, Radial Tires, Dual Mirrors, new Dual Exhaust, and a Cowl Hood. This 1966 Chevrolet Chevy II is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 66 Model was the first year for the second generation of the line. They were more like the bigger full-size cars that GM had been pumping out. The humped fenders and angular taillights were defining design ques mimicked from the full-size line up. The car was still considered a subcompact but the intro of the new 327 350 V8 had many scratching their head. However, hotrodders rejoiced as they had been waiting for some time for GM Brass to do just that. The new 327/350 Nova was a street machine and people ere quick to realize that baby Nova was a great platform for a true Musclecar, and they have been used for high transplants ever since. This beauty has had a Corvette 350 placed under the hood being recently rebuilt and bored .40 over this small block is sure to gain anyone s attention. Power is being put through a 4 speed BORG@&Warner which is backed by a DANA 60 filled with a set of 356 gears. This truly is the ideal setup. Gives you plenty of down low grunt and efficient rpms at highway cruising. The red paint its slick and very clean with the panels fitting extremely well. The small cowl hood is just enough to let people know that this isn t there grandma s Nova. The black interior with buckets upfront looks very good as well. If you are looking for great Chevy II this little Nova must be the best bang for you buck hands down. Options on this 66 Chevy include; AM/FM/CD, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Tilt Wheel and Aluminum Wheels wrapped with Radial Tires . Un restored 28k original mile car.1966 Chevrolet Nova SS, I have owned this Nova since March 2004. It had 24k original miles when I bought it. It has not been cut up in anyway. I have every original part except the transmission, shifter, carpet, exhaust and mono leaf springs. To my knowledge it has never had any body work other than the prep for a respray of the original sandalwood tan, which I have photos of. Engine - Shafiroff 383 solid roller, with AFR heads. I have the original 283 on a stand in my garage. Transmission - Custom 5 Spd Tremec TKO 600 from Keisler engineering, built for the exact shifter position for a manual 66 nova Suspension - Front: stock rebult about 1500 miles ago Rear: GM multi leaf springs and custom subframe connectors Brakes - Baer sport touring disc with dual chamber master cylinder , Rear stock drums This car is really nice and was very expensive when I bought it almost 15 years ago. I have the original Protect-O-Plate documentation and the original owners manual. The 383 was in the car when I bought it, but it had a different carburetor and intake manifold. Myself and Jeremy Curry/Auto Solutions Leesburg VA pulled the engine because whomever installed the distributor used a bronze drive gear and it was damaged, so the engine went to the machine shop and was all cleaned up and reassembled with the correct billet steel drive gear for the cam. The 383 went back in the car with a custom AED holley double pumper and edelbrock air gap intake. I took it to a classic car day at Mason Dixon Dragway and down the 1/4 mile one time to see how she would run, with street tires and a gentle launch 11.88 at just under 119mph, which I was very pleased with, and back in the parking area the nova was soon surrounded with admirers.  That was its only time down the track, it is much to nice for that, but I wanted to see how the car would perform with the fresh motor and new trans.  It stays in my garage under cover I do not drive it very often, 4k in 15 years, usually to the Leesburg car show and to cars n coffee in Great Falls VA. I see alot of cars that people have put $100,000 in restoring and or turning into pro touring rides and I see some that have been messed with from the get go but are in some form of restore, but I never see a nova that overall looks as classy and nice as mine. I don't think there are many that haven't been restored and are this nice. With the multi link springs, disc brakes and the modern trans this car shocks my friends by how nice it rides and how capable it is. ... Read more
