Why This Car Is Special The 1964 Thunderbird convertible is a great car with ahead of its time styling, great comfort, and one of the best interiors every to go into a car. Mechanical The 390 CID V8 engine provides the power and routes it through a cruiser friendly 3-speed automatic transmission. Power steering and power brakes provide a great ride quality and make this car a joy to drive. The tilt-away steering wheel and power top are great options on these old Thunderbirds. Interior Beautiful blue vinyl is used throughout the interior and is very inviting. An AM/FM radio has been added to the dash. The bucket seats and center console wrap around you and make it feel like you are in the cockpit of a race car. That wrap around theme continues to the back seat and not only looks great, but provides incredible comfort. The white convertible top really pops against the Silver Blue Metallic paint. Exterior The paint is a lovely color that fits this T-Bird very well. The white top contrasts nicely and gives this T-Bird a beachy feel. The bullet design Thunderbird is highly sought after and this example shows why. Stunning lines, just enough chrome and a sporty yet luxurious feel. Conclusion If youre in the market for a drop top Thunderbird with tons of visual appeal, youve found it. Look no further, as this is a great driving cruiser with good options. Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is honored to offer this stunning 1964 Ford Thunderbird convertible. This T-bird was purchased three years ago from its first and only owner by a local professional restoration shop owner. The well-maintained car was taken out of its 20-year storage, and treated to a preservation restoration. It has been completely cleaned, gone through, and brought to its present outstanding and roadworthy condition. Everything that needed repair or replacement has been done, including new tires, front brake drums, rebuilding of all brake cylinders, and more. Its carburetor has been rebuilt and the recently tuned engine runs strongly and smoothly. The original interior was cleaned and is in excellent condition, with new front seat foam and the original fabric re-stitched. It is equipped with power steering, brakes, windows and the Tilt-Away steering column. The original bill of sale, history documents and service records from new are included.Heated secure storage through April is an available feature - so you can buy it now, leave it safely where it is, and take it home in the Spring.Call Conrad at +1.734.645.5778 or email Conrad@SellYourSportsCar.net
