Ready to drive! Issues: -The 10 year old paint job still presents very well, but has some minor bubbling in certain locations. I have done my best to photograph those areas, so please inspect the pictures carefully, and/or set up an appointment to inspect the car. -The factory fuel gauge and temperature gauge are no longer working. An aftermarket temperature gauge has been installed but there is currently no working fuel gauge. -There are a few imperfections in the interior. The driver's seat could use some re-stitching along the back bottom. You can see some minor splitting in the seam at the back of the seat. There are also a couple of very minor rips in the upholstery and one in the convertible top. This car presents extremely well, and will turn heads wherever it goes! Located in Washington DC.

The current owner has preserved this wagon and made it his own. The original motor has been replaced by a stedfast 318ci V8, rebuilt and ready to roll. Speaking of rolling, the rear window mechanically rolls down, offering plenty of storage and/or tailgating in the back. The chronological list of work done to bring this vintage Dodge back is impressive, as are the distinctive looks of a model rarely seen anymore. The work includes items easily visible in the more than 150 high-resolution photographs of this car on GarageKeptMotors, as well as less visible, but extensive upgrades to the cars internals. A 1969 727 TF transmission was rebuilt, upgraded, and installed by a veteran Chrysler mechanic, that included Kevlar clutches; Hemi 4.8-to-1 kick-down lever; braided stainless kick-down and throttle cables; TCI manual/auto valve body; B&M 2200 stall and SFI-approved flex plate; ARP torque-converter bolts, transmission cooler, and new lines; B&M shifter cable and more. The dash received a new three-gauge cluster and billet specialty steering wheel, upgraded upholstery, and a custom audio system with cargo-area-mounted subwoofers (fused amplifier is installed beneath the rear seat). On the outside, vintage aftermarket hubcaps with bullets were added. In 2012, the cars exterior was professionally renewed. Its exterior sheet metal was completely sanded, primed, sealed, and painted with three coats of white and three coats of urethane clear. Wheels were primed, painted (silver), and clear-coated. All exterior chrome trim was polished. New headlight bezels were sourced and installed. This Dart Wagon is ready for the road, including heading for cars-and-coffee shows unlikely to be displaying a comparable model. 1964 Dodge Dart GT Convertible. This was Dodges 50th Anniversary model and its also the last year Chrysler, Dodge, and Plymouth used the push-button transmission selector. Often considered the first muscle car due to its high HP/weight ratio. The car originally came with 273 V8, but I replaced it with a rebuilt 318 from Spokane motors with 4-BBL Holley carb. The paint has some sun bleaching and wear, no rust. The manual top is in good shape along with the rear window. The car comes with a 1964 4 door dart, parts car. It has a push button transmission.
