Affordable, top-down fun, this 1963 Ford Falcon is the daily-driver hobby car. It has a great vintage look, the thrifty six-cylinder engine is easy on the gas, and nobody else will even guess just how affordable it really is. This is not a perfect car, but it does have an awful lot of charm. You might remember Brad Pitt driving a similar car at the end of Oceans Eleven although this one is a lot nicer in every way. Its clean and honest, with an endearing personality that makes these a great place to start when you begin collecting. So if youre a guy ready to do some shows and have some fun with a cool car that doesnt need fussing, this is it. Traditional code M Wimbledon White paint presents extremely well, and thats the original color so it works well without looking dated. The bodywork underneath is in good order, with doors that fit well and close without a major slam, and the Mustangs little brother does look rather dashing with that hood scoop and cool fender-top ornaments. Mini Galaxie taillights continue the Ford look and the Futura model represented the top-of-the-line in 1963, so theres a bit of extra trim to make it sparkle. The grille is in excellent shape, the bumpers shine up nicely, and the red body side moldings show off good panel alignment. Someone spent quite a bit of money making this car look this good. The code 85A red bucket seat interior is how this car was ordered originally and it all remains in very good condition overall; perfect for just jumping in heading out on the road. The vinyl buckets are an unusual find in a Falcon, offering pleated details and correct materials, so it has a 60s sensibility without looking beat up and the red carpets are the correct texture and pile so they look right. The instrument panel and steering wheel are in great shape for being more than 50 years old now and the console between the seats is useful as well as somewhat rare. The factory AM radio is still in the dash, but like most Falcons, thats about it for options. The door panels are beautifully rendered, especially for a car in this price class, and the trunk is nicely outfitted with a reproduction plaid mat and a full-sized spare tire with cover. Theres also a white power convertible top that fits rather well and has a clear plastic rear window. The 170 cubic inch inline-six is a good choice in the lightweight Falcon, with peppy road manners around town and good fuel economy. Its correctly detailed with black paint on the block and Ford Red valve cover and air filter, and it really looks good in the otherwise all-black engine bay. Its quite clean in there, suggesting a car thats been well-maintained, and with an automatic transmission behind it, its a willing powerplant that goes about its business without a lot of fussing. Maintenance will be a snap and youll be surprised by the smooth torque it puts out. The underside is likewise in very good order and mostly original, with a single exhaust system for a period-correct six-cylinder grumble. 185/80/13 wide whitewalls really dress up the Falcon like one of its big brothers, and stock hubcaps finish the look. This high-quality Falcon convertible has proven to be quite reliable and goes down the road just like youd expect, making it a great choice as an entry-level hobby car. Call today!
A red convertible with bucket seats, four-on-the-floor, and a V8 under the hood is exactly what we all love. So take a look at this 1963 Ford Falcon Futura, because it gets it right, and it does it right from the start. This is a Falcon for those who like a hint of aggressive nature. Mag wheels, classic Firestone Wide Oval tires, and wide dual exhaust tips are all great sports car pieces, but this convertible goes further. It was upgraded to red paint later in life to give it a very sleek personality. Plus, everything from the hint of a hood scoop to the spear-like full-length side trim are great touches of sportiness. So this really does have that kind of appearance youll love to just take on the open road. And wherever you arrive, this one even has a story to tell. This Falcon was originally ordered for Fords #22 Charlotte sales region, which means it likely spent most of its 55 years right near our showroom! While the black folding roof looks great against the exterior, the red interior with the red exterior is what youll really love. It has a slightly deeper tone inside to give this drop top a European-like impression. Bucket seats and a floor shifter are exactly what you want in a drivers classic. Speaking of classic, the bright trim on the center console, flowing across the dash, embedded in the seats, and so much more gives this a terrific vintage appeal. But youll also notice some fun upgrades like the wood-like appearance of the steering wheel (it goes well with the classic Aoogah horn) and the AM/FM/cassette stereo w/digital tuner that provides better driving tunes. The motor is the same 260 cubic-inch V8 that found a home in the early Mustangs. This power plant is presented nicely in the engine bay with the bright air topper and the famous Ford blue on the valve covers and engine block. You also see the signs of good care with well-maintained belts, hoses, and wiring. Even the correct FoMoCo washer fluid bag is in place! With this kind of tidy presentation, it should be no surprise that the motor fires right up, and it even gives a hint of the classic V8 rumble thanks to the dual exhaust. Out on the road, the control of the four-speed manual transmission and the Falcons lightweight nature combine to make terrific classic convertible driving experience. Bright, complete, and truly interesting this is the droptop classic thats both a driver and has a story to tell. So dont let this Falcon get away, call today!
Ford knew that not all people who bought a compact were willing to miss out on premium features. For those who desired V8 power and style with their lightweight cars, there was the 1963 Ford Falcon Sprint. So if youre looking for a quite authentic and premium classic, read on... The Ford Falcon has really come into its own in the classic car market. No longer just the car that fathered the Mustang, the sensible style has matured into an instantly recognizable flair. This is especially seen on the top of the line Futura trim with Sprint package. Its premium status means this Falcon is dressed up with plenty of jewelry, ranging from the arrow-shaped side trim, to the neat little bombsight fender ornaments up front. Even the wire wheels are correct. It all looks great on a straight hardtop body that is in its factory-correct shade of Peacock Blue. In fact, this coupe has exceptionally low mileage thanks to spending the majority of its life with one owner, and three decades of that in storage. And since this Falcon was originally ordered for Fords #22 Charlotte sales region, it likely spent the last half-century right near our showroom! The interior is a two-tone light and dark turquoise vinyl, which is how the car came from the factory. The dual colors make for a uniform appearance on the door panels, dash, and seats. It all coordinates so well with the exterior that youll love keeping all the windows of this pillar-less hardtop down so everyone can get a good look inside. Youll also love showing off the time-capsule like setup where even the factory-style AM radio is still on display. But more than just look vintage, this is a drivers machine. Thats why you get the bucket seats with a stylized center console in-between. The grip of the correct grooved steering wheel is what classic car motoring is all about. Stuffing a 260 cubic-inch V8 in a lightweight car works really well... just ask Carroll Shelby. In this Falcon, it makes for entertaining acceleration around town, and its a lot of fun to play with thanks to its three-speed manual transmission. That V8 nestled between the shock towers just seems to be a cool reminder of the Mustang linage. As a bonus, its believed to be original to the car, and so the added polished components mean you get to show it off and talk about the V8. This is a true all-around classic hardtop with style and substance. Fully sorted and ready to run, this great looking Falcon will be flying out of our showroom soon. Call now!
With its V8 power, four-on-the-floor, perfect color combination, and freshly restored condition, its hard to beat this 1963 Ford Falcon Futura convertible for vintage top-down fun. And when you see the upgrades from the larger motor to the A/C interior youll realize how irresistible this classic really is. The Ford Falcon is the car that fathered the Mustang, and now that it has matured into vintage status, you can really see the grown-up appeal on this convertible. This is especially true when the economy car roots are erased on the top of the line Furura trim. Theres plenty of brightwork, including beautiful chrome bumpers, intricate grille, dual gunsight fender ornaments, and the afterburner-style tail lamps. And we especially love the arrow-like Futura side trim that seems to keep this convertible pointing forward. All of this shows exceptionally well against a recent professional application of the factory-correct Corinthian White. And while these are all terrifically correct pieces, there are some nice subtle upgrades. The half-chrome headlights and Mustang styled steel wheels hint at this droptops performance upgrade. The white roof looks nice in place, but with the flip of a switch, it powers down to reveal a stellar red interior. Not only is this a terrific color against the white exterior, but also all the red exterior accents (including within the side trim and hood scoop) make this look like a highly coordinated package with the roof down. More than just a great color, they made some very cool investments in this Falcon. The seats are the rare split-bench w/armrest with a design inspired by the first years of the Ford Mustang. As you look across the dash, everything is correctly in place, right down to the working clock. But then you also sport some more upgrades like retro-style AM/FM radio with digital tuner, three-spoke sports steering wheel (original comes with the sale, too,) and theres a modern R134a air conditioning system to keep you cool with the top down long into the summer season. While you saw some Mustang-inspired touches inside and out, the best one is under the hood. This has been upgraded to Fords 289 cubic-inch V8. More than just being larger than anything offered in for the Falcon in 63, this convertible has been further upgraded with a Holley four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock intake. Plus, the dual exhaust has the sweet sound of power. So this Falcon can really fly, and you get full control of it all thanks to the four-speed manual transmission. And this restored classic also has thoughtful driving features like power steering and front disc brakes. Theres even aluminum radiator w/electric fan so you can run cool even in traffic with the A/C pumping. Complete with maintenance records, this is a very thoughtful restoration of a terrific vintage convertible. Complete classics like this are a rare sight, so dont miss your chance. Call today!!!

Very rare Sprint convertible, probably the sportiest of all the Falcons. They were even hard to come by when they were new! Known as 63 1/2s because they didnt start production until mid year. The Sprint package included a V-8 motor, a little beefier suspension, unique exterior trim and inside it included a tachometer, bucket seats with console and a wood grained steering wheel that says Sprint in the horn button. This one is exceptionally handsome too. The colors, wheels and cloth top are very rich looking. It won an AACA national first prize in 1988 and has been restored and maintained as needed to keep it in top shape. Shipped to us from a collector in Florida along with his Mustang and T-bird. He has always had nice cars. EXTERIOR: What a handsome car. Very nice lines, curves and dimensions. This one has a fantastic body. It is straight with tight body gaps. Paint is gorgeous. Its not a muddy burgundy, it has plenty of pop. The metal flake is laid out evenly and the clear finish is polished like glass. Chrome and trim are bright. Bumpers, fender spears, side moldings, mirror, handles, trunk lock all look new. Upgraded chrome GT wheels with color matched inserts and new tires. Another wonderful upgrade is the burgundy German cloth top. INTERIOR: Inside the car is in excellent shape. I open the door and the interior lights work. The cushions have been replaced so the upholstery fits tight. Has the cool chrome piping in the seats too. Door panels look new, has the chrome foil trim. Has a chrome console in between the seats with the original owners manual inside. Nice, clean dash area. Dash pad is mint, has original Sprint tachometer. There is also a factory clock which must be rare because I dont remember seeing another one. The plastic wood grained steering wheel is excellent, no cracks. A stereo is neatly tucked under the dash and has aftermarket kick panels with speakers molded in. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Very tidy, proper and clean. Theres a Sprint 260 V-8 dressed with original chrome valve covers and air cleaner. It is upgraded with a Durashine intake and plated Holley 4 barrel carb. Has power steering and the pump has a chromed top. There is also an aluminum support brace. The engine bay is clean, smooth metal painted satin black and has original Vin stamp. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Its clean, has mat and spare with cover.. UNDERSIDE: Looks rock solid. Frame rails, seams and welds look factory original. Has a nice Flowmaster dual exhaust system. Upgraded with front and rear sway bars. Springs, shocks, ball joints look replaced. Heres a great example of the forerunner to Fords muscle cars in a very appealing, open air form. This 1963 Ford Falcon Futura convertible has been lightly travelled since a restoration that left it looking sharp and running strong. It represents the road less travelled as far as vintage Fords are concerned, as you dont see many of its counterparts on the road anymore, and offers a solid, fulfilling vintage driving experience by way of its smoothly performing drivetrain. Noble-looking and yet unassuming at the same time, this Falcon will put a smile on your face with just a quick glance. Its Peacock blue exterior is flat out magnetic - its easy to see why this shade is so closely associated with calming the nerves and it displays a nice solid shine in this setting. Its ornamented by a collection of chrome that all represents well - the bumpers both fore and aft are straight and level, and the trim, badging and other bright work throughout is securely mounted and shows no glaring dings or divots. When a change in the weather calls for increased protection, theres a vinyl convertible top tucked neatly under its tonneau cover thats ready to spring into action. Its light tan color represents a nice change from more commonly encountered shades and really looks great against the blue of the rest of the exterior and its plastic rear window is crystal clear for maximum visibility. The turquoise interior sports its original color and will transport you straight back to the early 60s just as soon as you climb inside. The front bench has recently been refurbished to its former glory, looking just as well-padded and inviting as it did when this Falcon first left the showroom floor. Its rear counterpart is still carrying what is likely its original cover, but whether due to light usage or extreme caution it, too, is looking pretty darned impressive, and both rows of seating loom over carpeting thats also aged well. The generously proportioned original steering wheel still holds its place on the column, while the dash area just beyond it is a definite high point for this Ford classic, harboring functional and readable gauges in its instrument cluster, as well as a full assortment of ivory-colored control knobs. The trunk area presents well - its interior walls look straight and sturdy and a full size spare is standing by on its vinyl lined floor. The engine compartment looks pretty much as it did when this Falcon first hit the road, with a period-correct 260 cubic inch V8 sitting at its center, wearing a very sharp orange air cleaner and a pair of matching valve covers. The inner fenders, firewall and shock towers carry a coat of black paint to maintain their factory appearance and the assortment of belts and hoses they contain all look fresh and road ready. This 63 is a very solid driver - it holds the road well, its engine is running smooth and sounds great, while the 2-speed Ford-O-Matic transmission just behind it provides nice, precise shifts. 13 stock wired hubcaps add even more to its thoroughly appealing vintage vibe and are wrapped with Cooper Trendsetter tires. This 1963 Ford Falcon Futura convertible offers the chance to put a nostalgia inducing, solid driving memento of the early 60s in your garage. Call today!
