Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to present this beautiful 1963 Cadillac Series 62. This one is powered by the 390 CID V8 engine. In overall terms, 1963 Cadillac was essentially the same as last year. Exterior changes imparted a bolder and longer look. Hoods and deck lids were redesigned. The front fenders projected 4.625 further forward than for 1962 while the tailfins were trimmed down somewhat to provide a lower profile. Body side sculpturing was eliminated. The slightly V-shaped radiator grille was taller and now incorporated outer extensions that swept below the flush-fender dual headlamps. Smaller circular front parking lamps were mounted in those extensions. A total of 143 options including bucket seats with wool, leather or nylon upholstery fabrics and wood veneer facings on dash, doors and seatbacks, set an all-time record for interior appointment choices. Standard equipment was the same as the previous year. Convertibles were equipped with additional features. The engine was entirely changed, though the displacement and output remained the same, 390 cu in (6.4 l) and 325 hp (242 kW). This car features AC, AM/FM radio, auto top, spare tire, hub caps, power brakes and steering, jack, power seats and windows, seat belts, vinyl interior and white walls. In October of 2010 the drums were converted to discs, engine rebuilt, new muffler and new radiator. April 2012 it was reupholstered. June 2012 it got new top latches. July 2013 it got a new fuel tank and a new and more modern radio (original still available). In Feb of 2017 a new carb was installed and in March of 2017 a new convertible top window was added. 1963 Series 62, 4 door. This Car was originally owned and garage kept by a older couple in South Carolina and was only used to drive to church on Sundays. I bought it in 2004 from their estate and it has been kept in my garage in Florida ever since. The motor was pulled out and professionally rebuilt in Dec 2011 at 17k miles due to a spun rod bearing. Tires are about 3 years old and less than 3k miles on them. NO AC. Power Windows. Aftermarket radio installed professionally in glove box.

This car makes friends everywhere it goes! Up for sale is my newly painted 1963 Cadillac Series 62 two door hardtop coupe. The paint colors are the new Chevy Victory Red and Mercedes black on the roof. I have a lot of receipts for everything that has been done to this car during the approximately ten years I have owned it, but I have not yet begun to sift through them and organize them. Most of the work has been done at the same mechanic. The original numbers matching 390 engine has been rebuilt with an rv cam, large carburetor, and headers added, electronic ignition, and many other repairs including but not limited to: all rubber suspension components, drive shaft, axle bearings, chrome, lighting, front disc brakes, carpet and upholstery, original radio and modern stereo, lightly tinted windows, and dual exhaust, .If you want an original restored car, this one is not for you. This car is a little bit classic, a little bit hot rod, and rock n roll. There is no air conditioning. A dash from a car with air conditioning is included, as well as the original exhaust manifolds and some other auxiliary odds and ends. There is a power front bench seat, mechanical crank windows and locks. Please do not call me to attempt to buy it cheap for resale, or to offer to help me sell or broker this car. Please see all the pictures and ask me any questions you want. I have added a couple of short video clips so you can hear how great this Cadillac engine sounds with the cam, headers and dual exhaust. It sounds awesome! Good luck with your classic car search, and thank you for looking at mine.
