Heres one is for the lovers of a true vintage motoring. This 1962 Chevrolet Corvair has exceptionally low mileage and that terrific 1960s classic look. So if you love classic details, this really delivers it all, and for quite an affordable price. The Corvair has one of the most distinct looks of the era. It has the classic coupe proportions, but it also stands out with a nearly vent-less front end and a crisp crease in the sheetmetal that encircles the whole car. Plus, theres just the right amount of brightwork with the mirror-like chrome bumpers, distinct headlight bezels, full-length rocker trim, and factory wheel covers announcing this as a premium 900-series Monza. And its all finished in the kind of pale yellow that was popular in the early 60s. So this example really represents its period nicely. Inside, the Monza means bucket seats up front. And the button-top design on the seats coordinates with the door panels to give this a true vintage feeling. The exterior yellow returns throughout the interior, and now its joined by a gold tone on places like the carpeting and the dashboard. These two colors unite on the classic dual-spoke steering wheel, which gives the whole interior a well-coordinated look that youll love to show off. This has the great vintage feeling, right down to details like the unique selector for the automatic transmission and the AM radio thats still on display. Even the trunk up front is like a time capsule, with details like the jacking instructions on display and the unique triangle-shaped washer refill bottle mounted to the side. On a car this correct so far, its nice to see a well-preserved engine bay. The correct 2.4-liter flat-four is classily detailed with everything from the dual carbs to the generator. But vintage looks dont mean missing out on maintenance, and we even see evidence of newer components like the fuel pump and brake shoes. With no need for a long driveshaft and maximizing the weight over the rear wheels, Corvairs have a true traction advantage. So maximized for utility and only weighing less than 2,500 pounds makes this Corvair Monza coupe plenty zippy. This is a great classic presentation offered for an obtainable price. So if youre looking for an affordable time machine, dont let this coupe slip away. Call today!!!
Its hard not to consider a 1962 Chevrolet Corvair Monza like this. After all, its affordable vintage droptop fun thats always a conversation piece. A Corvair knows how to turn heads with its very European-like package mixed with American flair. And it only gets better on a convertible finished in its all-American and factory-correct red. We have a long list of itemized receipts that show plenty of care and investment in this classic over the last few years. Thats why theres a nice shine on the paint, the bumpers have a mirror-like finish, and all the trim is complete. It all gives the impression of a nice value at this affordable price. The white top is newer and so it looks nice against the red paint. And if you like that color combo, then youll really love the look with the roof off. This was converted to a white interior later in life, and so the button-top presentation on the seats and door panels have a nice crispness. Even the steering wheel and custom dash cubby are finished in white to have a very well-coordinated total appearance. And youll love cleaver factory details like the fingertip controls for the automatic transmission. Plus, you have an upgrade to a retrosound digital receiver that has the cool vintage look, but it provides you with a great way to have modern tunes while you enjoy top-down motoring. In the rear is a quite tidy and correct engine bay with a nice secret. This is a 164 cubic-inch aluminum flat-six a larger motor borrowed from a later Corvair. With no need for a long driveshaft and maximizing the weight over the rear wheels (engine, battery, and spare tire) it has a true traction advantage. So, maximized for utility and only weighing about 2,700 pounds makes this Corvair Monza plenty zippy. Complete with owners manual and build receipts, this is a great way to get vintage droptop fun without breaking the bank. Call today!!!
