1957 Thunderbird Finished in Colonial White with Black & White interior, Black Soft Top and White Hard Top. Body off the frame rotisserie restoration. 312 - V8 engine, automatic transmission. Kelsey Hayes wire wheels with wide white tires. Fully service & excellent driving.
Go ahead and get excited, because your eyes arent deceiving you. This is a real-deal, documented E-code 1957 Thunderbird. That means dual quads atop the 312 cubic inch V8, and with that in mind, the restoration was carried out to an extremely high standard. In a sea of early Thunderbirds, THIS is the one to own. It shouldnt surprise you that this car was restored to compete on the show field, and weve never seen a 2-seat Bird as highly detailed as this one. They stuck to the original specifications with this one, giving it a coat of code F Starmist Blue paint, as it was new, although the quality and shine are simply astounding. For many, the 57 Thunderbird is a favorite, with its more pronounced fins that were a part of the 1950s automotive landscape. Its been in the current owners hands since 1979 and since a full restoration about 10 years ago, it has hardly been driven so its very fresh. The chrome was treated to show-grade refinishing, and every single component on the car was buffed and shined before it was reinstalled, so it glitters no matter where you look. Its also loaded with other unique features, including a dealer-installed continental kit, original radio antenna on the deck lid, and beautifully fitted fender skirts. This is a very impressive car. The interior is restored to the same standards using correct two-tone blue vinyl that does a pretty good impersonation of leather. The wide bench looks more like two close-coupled buckets and makes the sporty T-Bird strictly a 2-seater. Everything inside has been refinished to show standards, including the gorgeous door panels, exceptional steering wheel, and precisely detailed gauges. Its all quite correct, from the neatly clustered instruments to the floor shifter for the Ford-O-Matic 3-speed automatic transmission. For show purposes, there are no updates or modifications to any of the interior systems, and even the original AM radio remains in its engine-turned panel in the dash. The spare tire moved back into the trunk for 1957, and even with the continental kit, this one is neatly finished with a correct reproduction mat and full-sized spare tire with jack assembly. And yes, dont worry, this one comes with two tops, a color-matched light blue hardtop with porthole and a beautifully fitted navy blue canvas convertible top with a crystal clear rear window. As nice as it is, this Thunderbirds status is almost entirely due to the E-code engine under the hood, complete with dual quads. With 270 horsepower, it was a neat experiment in creating a Corvette-eater that could still cruise the streets of Beverly Hills. Topped by the distinctive air cleaner, the 312 cubic inch V8 was fully rebuilt to stock specs and fully detailed with a dress-up kit. Every detail is correct, from the hardware securing the valve covers to the reproduction battery, and it runs as it should with a healthy bark from the dual exhaust. You can see bright red engine paint on the oil pan from below, and take a few minutes to enjoy the fully detailed chassis thats ready for the most demanding judges. Both power steering and power brakes make this E-Bird easy to handle and for style, nothing compares to a set of chrome wire wheels wearing 205/75/14 Coker Classic wide whitewall radials. There are only a few Thunderbirds that are more desirable than this, and they all have superchargers. If youve been looking for the one of these to complete your collection, this might be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Call now!
Go ahead and get excited, because your eyes arent deceiving you. This is a real-deal, documented E-code 1957 Thunderbird in an awesome color combination. They stuck to the original specifications with this one, giving it a coat of rather rare code N Gunmetal Gray paint, as it was new, although the quality and shine are probably better than new (and its so fresh it hasnt even been cut or buffed, so it can look even better!). For many, the 57 Thunderbird is a favorite, with its more pronounced fins that were a part of the 1950s automotive landscape. Its extensively and expensively restored and the 174 miles showing on the odometer are since the restoration was finished, so its still very fresh. The chrome was treated to show-grade refinishing, and every single component on the car was buffed and shined before it was reinstalled; all of it glitters no matter where you look. This is a very impressive car. The interior is restored to the same standards using correct Flame Red vinyl that does a pretty good impersonation of leather. For show purposes, there are no updates or modifications to any of the interior systems, and even the original Town & Country AM radio remains in its engine-turned panel in the dash. The only deviation from stock are seat belts, but nobody will complain about that. And yes, dont worry, this one comes with two tops, a color-matched light gray hardtop with porthole and a beautifully fitted black canvas convertible top with a crystal clear rear window. In back, the trunk got larger for 57, and this one is fitted with a full mat set and a jack assembly; its just a spare tire away from the show field. As nice as it is, this Thunderbirds status is almost entirely due to the E-code engine under the hood, complete with dual quads. With 270 horsepower, it was a neat experiment in creating a Corvette-eater that could still cruise the streets of Beverly Hills. Topped by the distinctive air cleaner, the 312 cubic inch V8 was fully rebuilt to stock specs and detailed with a factory dress-up kit. How often do you get a crack at one of the most beloved classics ever to roll off an assembly line, let alone one thats in the rock-solid running condition of this 1957 Ford Thunderbird? It features a strong V8 under its scooped hood that combines with a very nicely restored interior to make for a great driving experience. <BR With a very distinctive maroon metallic shade draped over its almost universally recognized form, this vintage cruiser cuts a head turning appearance just as it is - this is a coveted first-generation T-Bird, after all. The dark color is in solid condition from front to back, so youll get plenty of admiring nods as soon as you get it home, and with some well-focused attention this classic would definitely make an impact on the local car show circuit. As a 57, it represents the final year that Thunderbirds retained their two seater configuration - they rolled out in a considerably larger form the following year. The exterior features a number of great stylistic touches - the subtle hood scoop with its chrome trimmed front, the gill-like vents on its front fenders and intricate front grille are just a few. Should you find yourself behind the wheel when the skies darken, youll have a couple of options for shelter at your disposal - a well-fitted vinyl convertible top that matches the rest of the exterior, as well as a hardshell white accessory top with portholes on its sides. The interior offers a lot to like. Its been restored while remaining almost entirely in stock configuration. The white vinyl bench seat, as well as the door panels to each side, look great and youll find very clean black carpeting lining the floor below you. Below that carpeting sits an ample layer of Dynamat to insulate against road noise and heat to make for a very comfortable vintage cockpit. Thunderbirds of this era featured a great use of textured chrome accenting that began on the dash area and extended the lengths of the doors and the example here is in fine form. The fan shaped instrument cluster behind the original steering wheel now includes Autometer gauges to keep a read on oil temperature and RPMs, with an additional three gauge cluster located just below. A Town and Country retro-style stereo with USB connectivity has been added to the center of the dash to provide plenty of audio options. Youll find a full size spare sitting in its proper vertical position in the trunk, with a fresh looking rubber seal in place below the deck lid to keep the elements from intruding. In addition to its great looks and substantial heritage, this Thunderbird happens to be a great driver as well. Theres a 302 cubic inch Jasper crate motor residing in the engine compartment, equipped with a 4 barrel Edelbrock carb and a Summit aluminum intake manifold to maximize its output. Its running strong and smooth and with the added Flamethrower ignition, theres plenty of spark at its disposal. The engine sits surrounded by fresh-looking components, a number of which are decked out in black for added eye candy, and pairs with a 3-speed automatic C6 transmission. Farther forward is a sizable, custom built aluminum radiator that teams with an electric fan to keep temperatures down in more demanding driving conditions. Upgraded power brakes that include disks up front bring low-effort stops, while power steering makes this classic easy to handle. A set of 14 steel wheels with vintage-looking Ford hubcaps complete the overall look. This 1957 Ford Thunderbird represents the model at its compact, nostalgia inducing best, and its ready for action just as soon as you get it home. Call today!

The 1957 Ford Thunderbird is iconic, but the reason why you stopped to check this one out is because of the bright shining total package. And as you dig deeper, youll find plenty of quality and even an upgrade to desirable A/C. The high-quality finish on the upgraded to Candy Apple Red really sets this one apart. There was a plenty invested in a modern clearcoat application, and it was worth it on this example. Thats because they also invested in ensuring this was one of the straightest T-birds youll find. That means a terrific luster highlighting all the crisp points from the hood scoop to the jet-inspired taillights. Plus, you have all the right features you want on this car, including the porthole hardtop, fender skirts, and the dual exhaust that still exit through the rear bumper. And speaking of that intricate bumper, there was clearly time spent making sure all the brightwork looks right. So not only the rear looks great, but also the front grille, pointed & curved front bumper, and those 14-inch wire wheel covers. Plus this has whitewall tires which of course, belong on a pristine classic like this one. As much as we love the look of this one with the iconic hardtop in place, you probably have also noticed the white soft top. And if you like the way this looks, it gets even better when you open this one up to the world. After all, the red exterior and white interior combine to give this the timeless appeal of the Coca-Cola logo. We love the stylized touches like the engine-turned panel that flows across both doors and the dash. And even the door cards still have the Thunderbird logo properly embossed in them. But as a true cool cruiser, this also has some very nice upgrades. This includes an AM/FM/cassette stereo that blends into the retro design while offering improved road trip tunes. And the modern R134a air conditioning is the perfect addition to keep this on comfortable with the top down long into the summer season. The 312 cubic-inch V8 looks terrific in the engine bay. Youll be proud to show off all the right components including the pie dish air cleaner w/hood diaphragm and iconic Thunderbird logo valve covers. Ford red paint on the block looks great, and theres even an upgrade to a Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor to give this torque-filled motor an extra hit of power. The dual exhaust has a nice low V8 burble thats powerful without being overbearing, which is the perfect soundtrack for weekend cruising. Plus, with the Ford-O-Matic automatic transmission and power steering, this T-bird is just as effortless to drive as you imagine. The right colors, the right upgrades, and timeless style this is everything you want, and its reedy to cruise right now. Dont miss your opportunity. Call today!!!
Available in our Gateway Classic Cars Dallas-Fort Worth showroom is this beautiful 1957 Ford Thunderbird finished in Coral Sand with Cream interior with the 312 CID V8; one of the rarest Thunderbirds ever made. Performance was becoming an increasingly important feature to car buyers as the 50s progressed, and in 1957 Ford increased engine choices in the Thunderbird to no fewer than six, including four levels of power in the new 312 CI version of its Y-block V-8 engine in addition to the 292 CI units offered in 1955 and 1956 Thunderbirds. This example incorporates the 245 HP version of the new 312 CI engine featuring dual exhaust. One of very few Thunderbirds ordered with rare Coral Sand paint, optional port hole hard top, and a contrasting white interior. It was well-optioned with the Borg Warner-designed Ford-O-Matic 3-speed automatic transmission, Master Guide power steering, and Swift Sure power brakes. When it came to exterior cosmetics, the buyer of this early production example chose an optional porthole hard top, chromed wire wheels, wide whitewall tires and fender skirts. Now featured in our Denver showroom is a one of a kind show-stopping 1957 Ford Thunderbird that had no expense sparred in the meticulous build that it underwent. Everywhere you look on this classic T-bird the quality of work will leave you speechless! The heart and soul of this car is a Coyote 5.0L V8 that, when you open up the hood, was clearly the centerpiece around the build. The firewall and inner fender wells have just as deep of a black glossy finish as the rest of the car, and with the chrome and polished accents, is a piece of art by itself. The hydroboost Wilwood Master cylinder provides serious stopping ability to the 6-piston front calipers allowing this car to stop on a dime. Behind the 5.0L V8 is a 6-Speed automatic transmission for easy cruising no matter what speed you are going and hooked up to the 9 Ford rear end with 4.11:1 gears it is extremely peppy! Even with this drivetrain though, it is hard to believe this car is anything but a work of art. The body work is top notch and, with a well done black paint job laid atop of it, you can pick this car out from a crowd of Thunderbirds and will win best of class nearly anywhere it goes. The black with polished accents is a timeless look and this car will never go out of style no matter how many years pass. The interior keeps this theme going with a high quality grade of leather with red thread accents and polished aluminum and chrome accents. The driving position is comfortable and has plenty of room to get in and out of with the custom steering wheel. The custom gauge cluster looks appropriate for the times but are significantly more accurate and better looking than the originals. To turn on this car it is a simple turn of the hidden key and that modern V8 comes to life with no hesitation and the distinct growl of the coyote engine exudes from the rear of the car. Shift it into drive and you will feel as if you set off on a cruise in a brand new car! With only 160 miles since the build has been completed, everything is still very tight and feels just as good as the day it was built. For sale in our Detroit showroom is a classic 1957 Ford Thunderbird Convertible. The Ford Thunderbird began life in February 1953 in direct response to Chevrolets new sports car, the Corvette, which was publicly unveiled in prototype form just a month before. Under rapid development, the Thunderbird went from idea to prototype in about a year, being unveiled to the public at the Detroit Auto Show on February 20, 1954. Like the Corvette, the Thunderbird had a two-seat coupe/convertible layout. Production of the Thunderbird began later on in 1954 on September 9 with the car beginning sales as a 1955 model on October 22, 1954. Though sharing some design characteristics with other Fords of the time, such as single, circular headlamps and tail lamps and modest tailfins, the Thunderbird was sleeker and more athletic in shape, and had features like a faux hood scoop and a 140 mph speedometer hinting a higher performance nature that other Fords didnt possess. The exterior was professionally painted in a gloss Colonial White while the interior is custom stitched in green and light green vinyl. The two complement each other very nicely. Under the hood youll find the original 312 CID V8 engine backed by a 3-spd automatic transmission. The valve covers are the original Thunderbird ribbed covers that scream 50s style. Its probably the first thing youll notice when you open the hood. Under the chrome air cleaner sits the Holley 4BBL carburetor that someone looking to enjoy driving this Thunderbird will surly love. The infamous porthole hard top is in amazing condition and painted to match the interior of the T-Bird. This Thunderbird also includes a custom Prestige replacement soft-top. With the hardtop secured into place the road noise diminishes significantly. Other options include:Air Conditioning, AM/FM radio, manual convertible top, hub caps, power brakes, power steering, telescopic wheel, vinyl interior, and wide white wall radial tires. This is a classic Thunderbird with a timeless look which bodes well for an investment piece and a fun driver alike. Now for sale in the Gateway Classic Cars of Houston showroom is this beautiful 1957 Ford Thunderbird. This is one of the most desirable years for the Thunderbird and what a fantastic example this is. The current owner of this first-generation car bought it from the original owner in Houston all the way back in 1967 and has kept it ever since. This one has been excellently maintained over the years and still drives very well. Under the hood you will find a 312 CID V8 engine which was now standard in 1957 over the 292 CID V8 engine seen on the previous 1st generation Thunderbirds. The Thunderbird was revised for 1957 with a reshaped front bumper, a larger grille and tailfins, and larger tail lamps. The instrument panel was heavily re-styled with round gauges in a single pod, and the rear of the car was lengthened, allowing the spare tire to be positioned back in the trunk. The 312 cu in V8 became the Thunderbirds standard engine, and now produced 245 horsepower. Other, even more powerful versions of the 312 cu in V8 were available including one with two four-barrel Holley carburetors and another with a Paxton supercharger delivering 300 horsepower. Though Ford was pleased to see sales of the Thunderbird rise to a record-breaking 21,380 units for 1957, company executives felt the car could do even better, leading to a substantial redesign of the car for 1958. The exterior is finished in a gorgeous white/blue two-tone paint scheme with a matching blue two-tone interior. The cabin is kept cool with functioning air conditioning and features a manual convertible top for those summer days. Power steering and power brakes make steering and stopping this classic a breeze, even in tight parking spots. Seat belts are fitted for extra safety and the white wall tires look fantastic. Don t miss this chance to own this one. Contact Gateway Classic Cars of Houston at (832) 243-6220 for more information on the car, financing information or to talk about purchasing. Now available in our DFW-Showroom is this 1957 Ford Thunderbird. For 1957, the Ford Thunderbird underwent some visual changes. Most notably, the front bumper was reconfigured, removing the large chrome nacelles, and adding fog lights to the corners. This opened the grille visually, and made it seem more like the luxurious boulevard cruiser that it was. The Thunderbird inscription was moved from the rear quarter to ahead of the front quarter panel vent. Out back, the spare tire was moved back into the trunk, and the rear fascia was revised. The fins were thinned out and more pronounced, and the rear bumper featured a new design. At the corners of the bumper, the once-subtle exhaust outlets were replaced with wider integrated outlets. This Thunderbird was purchased by the current owner 18 years ago, in a small Texas city. Since purchasing the owner has done some work to update and keep this ride on the road. In 2007 he replaced: Shocks, U-Joints, Seals, Motor Mounts, Leaf Springs, Bushings, Ball joints, Coils, Steering pump, and Brakes. In 2013 he replaced: Fuel tank, Fuel pump, Hoses and rebuilt the Carburetor. This Thunderbird is powered by a healthy sounding 312 Y-Block V-8 motor and is connected to a 3-Speed automatic transmission. Other options include: A/C-colonial white/black & white vinyl, power seats, power steering, wide white wall radial tires, and wire wheels. Gateway Classic Cars of Las Vegas is proud to present this 1957 Thunderbird for sale in our Las Vegas Showroom. The Thunderbird entered production for the 1955 model year as a sporty two-seat convertible. Unlike the Chevrolet Corvette, it was not marketed as a sports car. Ford positioned the Thunderbird as an upscale model and is credited in developing a new market segment - the personal luxury car. Though sharing some design characteristics with other Fords of the time, such as single, circular headlamps and tail lamps and modest tailfins, the Thunderbird was sleeker and more athletic in shape, and had features like a hood scoop and a 150 mph (240 km/h) speedometer hinting at a higher performance nature that other Fords didnt possess. The Thunderbirds 102.0 inches wheelbase frame was mostly a shortened version of that used in other Fords. This car has been repainted a number of years ago but still looks great. It has a power seat, Town & Country seeking radio, and muffler just replaced. This 1957 Ford Thunderbird is for sale in our Las Vegas Showroom and can be seen great detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. For additional information please call our knowledgeable staff at (702) 830-9215 or email us at LasVegas@GatewayClassicCars.com. If you would like to see it in person, come to our Las Vegas Showroom, located at 6580 S Lindell Road Suite 300, Las Vegas, NV 89118.
