Style never goes out of fashion, which might explain why the 1955-56-57 Chevrolets remain as popular today as they were when they were new, perhaps more so. Next to the convertibles, the car to own is a Bel Air 2-door, and this lovely 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air 2-door sedan is the ideal combination of ready-to-rock mechanicals and a gorgeous high-gloss paint job. Starting with a straight car makes it easy to create a stunner like this. Despite being finished a few years ago, the paint is still quite nice and shows off the factory Bel Air trim to great effect. The lights in our studio dont really do it justice, because the depth of the bright electric blue paint is impressive, even after all these years. Sure, you can look around and find a few touch-ups here and there, but this car still attracts a lot of attention wherever it goes. And thanks to the striking Bel Air trim which streaks along the sides, it has a very crisp, precise look. Most of those shiny pieces have been restored to give this stunner some sparkling jewelry, and it proves once again that the best designs just dont need improvement. Just about the only non-factory part is the billet grille, but it blends in so well that you dont really notice and the rest is so right that it works from any angle. The two-tone interior is completely custom, but the look is certainly right in the 1956 bodywork. To be honest, the front seat looks almost completely unused, which tells you a lot about the quality of the work and the care it has received since it was finished. Custom embroidery on the seat backs highlights the split bench setup, which, of course, is power-actuated with a center armrest. Matching door panels are made of the same materials with dramatic sculpting that still manages to capture the 1950s yet puts a modern spin on it. The dashboard is still fairly stock, with modern Auto Meter gauges, a custom AM/FM/CD/iPod stereo system, and the traditional bright trim that spans the width of the entire dash. Theres also a tilt column with a billet steering wheel, and the column-mounted shifter manages a 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission, all upgrades that make it a fabulous cruiser. The gorgeous trunk features a custom bulkhead with twin subwoofers, plus full carpets and a spare tire with cover. Under the hood youll find a stout 350 cubic inch V8 with lots of chrome and plenty of horsepower. Everything inside is obviously new, and a set of double hump heads, an Edelbrock intake manifold and 4-barrel carburetor, and full MSD ignition system help build reliable horsepower. Its very neat and clean, with well-designed accessory access, a power dual master cylinder with front disc brakes, and a big radiator out front. The aforementioned 700R4 transmission feeds a 10-bolt rear end, meaning that it can just loaf along at highway speeds. The front suspension is a custom tubular setup with a big sway bar, so handling is a bit sharper than stock. A Flowmaster dual exhaust system gives the small block a performance sound that fits its personality and the stance is exactly right. It sits on a set of old school Torque Thrust wheels with staggered 245/45/17 front and 275/40/17 rear performance radials. With a very cool look, a gorgeous interior and that enhanced V8 under the hood, this Bel Air is a wonderful machine to show and drive. Please come in and have a look at this one in person, because the photos just dont do it justice. Just be prepared: as soon as you see it, youll fall in love. Call today!
As the middle child of the Tri-Five Chevys, we get fewer 1956 Bel Airs than 55s and 57s. Why this is, I cant say, but it does mean that when an ultra-nice 56 Bel Air convertible like this shows up everyone takes notice. With a frame-off restoration, awesome colors, and that famous small block V8, it looks and drives like Americas favorite collector car. This car has had a cost-no-object frame-off restoration, which will give you a very good idea of how nice it truly is. It wears new paint, of course, and it accurately duplicates the original Crocus Yellow over Onyx Black paint scheme it wore on the showroom floor in 1956. The sheetmetal is straight enough to wear black paint easily, with fit and finish that are worth of this cars high-profile look and A-rated collectable status. The doors open and close the way only a solid, original cars door can, and since this car has practically been restored down to the molecular level theres a spectacular shine to the finish. All the trim is fully restored, as are the bumpers, which probably cost as much as a college education to restore. Accessory fender skirts and a continental kit make it look long and low, and if youre going to have a high-profile Chevy convertible, you may as well get one loaded with goodies. The two-tone interior was restored to factory specs while they had it apart for paint, and the results are impressive. The funky materials they used back then were a joyous tribute to the optimistic 50s and theyre accurately replicated inside this convertible, making it a great place to spend some time. Correct door panels echo the exterior styling with the swooping armrest inserts and the bright trim band that runs across the dash glitters like jewelry against the black instrument panel. Out of respect for the original design, the factory AM radio still lives in the dash and its fully operational. The gauges were likewise restored and show bright printing on a black background, and there are exactly zero deviations from stock. Theres also a brand new black convertible top with new top cylinders and pump, and our photo shoot was probably the first time it had ever been down because it has zero wrinkles. Finally, the trunk is finished as original, with a reproduction rubber mat and correct jack assembly (the spare tire lives in the continental kit, as it should). To make this Bel Air the ultimate 50s cruiser, theres a correct 265 cubic inch V8 under the hood, fully rebuilt and detailed for show. Thanks to the Power Pack option, it has a 4-barrel carburetor and dual exhaust for a bit more horsepower, and with power steering and power brakes, its as easy to drive as a modern car. Correct hardware, fasteners, and clamps make for a show-ready presentation and theyve even included all the original-style tags and decals. The 2-speed PowerGlide automatic transmission shifts properly and feeds the original rear end with highway-friendly gears inside. A brand new dual exhaust system with glasspack-style mufflers has the right rumble without being obnoxious, and you can see what a clean car this is just by glancing at the chassis photos. Four steel wheels with wire hubcaps and proper wide whites give it a classic look and an OEM feel. Beautifully finished, with all the original parts that were already in excellent shape expertly preserved, this is a high-end Bel Air thats ready to travel or show anywhere. Call today!
This amazing 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air 2-door sedan is one of those cars that already has all the right ingredients. Big horsepower stroker motor? Yep. Overdrive transmission? Of course. Gorgeous interior with all the upgrades? What did you expect? And its so nice that youll want to drive it everywhere you go. Bright pastels like the Twilight Turquoise and India Ivory combination on this car never look wrong, but on this cool coupe, its downright spectacular, especially rendered in modern two-stage urethane. The two-tone combination emphasizes the chrome and trim, all of which remain intact on this mild custom, and all of it has been restored to a high standard. All the body panels are straight, and the reflections in our photo studio are proof enough that someone invested the time and effort to make this one look right. All the things that make these cars great also make them a challenge to restore; if your panels dont align correctly, youre going to see it in mismatched trim. It all works together making a car that will get attract attention at first glance, but really needs extended study to see just how nicely done it really is. They didnt shave, delete, or modify any of the exterior pieces, but you know instantly that this car is special, which is a testament to the workmanship. There are a few signs of use and age, but rolling into a show driving this car is going to cause quite a stir. The completely restored interior is a big step up from 1956, and offers all the comforts and conveniences of a modern luxury car with all the style of 1956. Seriously, is there anyone who thinks they can do a better job than the GM stylists? The factory bench seat is wrapped in beautiful turquoise and white upholstery that comes right out of the 1956 factory brochure; well, OK, not exactly, but it has the right look and the right materials. Blue carpets add some contrast and the dash retains a factory look, complete with modern gauges from Dakota Digital that slot right into the original gauge pod. The floor-mounted shifter falls easily to hand and youll be delighted to note that its linked to a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission, making this Bel Air an effortless high-speed cruiser. A polished tilt column holds a neat small-diameter wheel that looks like the original and a powerful entertainment system fills the car with sound thanks to a set of trunk-mounted subwoofers. And speaking of the trunk, its simply finished with a tailored carpet to give it a clean, uncluttered look. You cant make a car look this good and not have it perform, so a built 383 cubic inch small block Chevy V8 went under the hood. Famous for making great torque, the engine is happy trundling through traffic or hammering down the interstate. The list of hardware is impressive, including an upgraded camshaft, stroker crank, ported double-hump heads, and a 4-barrel carburetor on an aluminum intake. It never gets fussy, idles well, and delivers instant power with a just quick prod of the throttle. Its also extremely well detailed, with neat wiring and plumbing, a lot of chrome and billet aluminum, plus Chevy Orange paint on the block. Long-tube headers feed a Flowmaster exhaust and a 10-bolt out back plants the power thanks to a 3.55-geared limited slip inside. 4-wheel disc brakes give it the stopping power of a modern car and it rides on Budnik wheels wearing 235/40/18 front and 265/35/18 rear performance radials. This is a car that you can drive anywhere with confidence, and it will still draw a crowd anywhere it goes. Call today!
This 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air 4-door is a very appealing car that retains all of its 1950s soul. Yes, I know it has four doors, but look closely and youll find an extremely attractive cruiser with room for the whole family and a vintage look that will turn heads everywhere it goes. Any 1956 Chevy is a great-looking car, and this Bel Air 4-door sedan wears the same sparkling trim as its 2-door siblings and wears it well. With twice as many doors, there are twice as many gaps to fit, twice as many doors to align, and two extra panels to sand and straighten, but the guys tasked with this job did it well. This car looks quite attractive in the flesh, with glittering turquoise and white paint that shows off the vintage sheetmetal to great advantage. Theres some use and age on the paint, but a professional buff might bring it up a notch. And the 4-door carries its own cool details, including the way the rear doors invisibly blend with the quarter panel, giving it the look of a sporty 2-door, as well as the decorative stainless trim at the base of the rear windows. This car also offers a lot of chrome and stainless trim that is probably original and a little faded, plus correct taillights that always look like some kind of trick aftermarket pieces. No matter how many doors it has, this is a good-looking car. A four-door like this really shines when its time to hit the road with some friends, with plenty of room for everyone. Turqouise vinyl upholstery helps to uphold the vintage look, and wide benches fore and aft are all-day comfortable. The carpets are new, the doors and kick panels have been reupholstered, and someone has added seat belts along the way. The gauges are original with the lens showing some age and they are joined by a trio of aftermarket gauges hanging under the dash. The original AM radio is still in the dash and it powers up, but that might be where wed start the upgrades in preparation for a road trip. Theres a big trunk, and while its unfinished, you can see that this car is not a rust bucket. The great thing about the small block Chevy is that it remains a usable engine in your vintage car, just the way it was built. This is a 265 cubic inch version topped by an Edlebrock 4-barrel carburetor and performance is still quite entertaining. It still looks quite original and theres a good chance thats original Chevy Orange paint still clinging to the block. Several upgrades make it far more usable and reliable, including a big aluminum radiator, an alternator, and a modern power brake system with dual master cylinder, new lines, and fresh wheel cylinders. Theres still a 2-speed PowerGlide automatic transmission behind it, and it shifts crisply while highway gears make it a comfortable cruiser under any circumstances. The undercarriage isnt detailed but its solid and original, and as I mentioned, those 20-inch IROC replica wheels give it a resto-mod look but this car could go back to stock quite easily if thats your thing. This 56 Chevy Bel Air is a very affordable way to own an icon and with a little elbow grease, it could be something truly remarkable. Call now!

We are pleased to present this 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air 4-door Sedan. This rare original 265ci V8 with two speed Powerglide automatic transmission was restored to original condition in 1998 and has been well taken care of since. The elegant two tone paint is in great shape although not original to the car but was the correct paint colors available for that model year. The chrome trim and bumpers are bright and shiny with very little flaws. This car comes with the fender skirts that you can choose to install at your option. The interior was also completely restored with the same color combination as the exterior plus a little flare to the piping, is in excellent condition and has the added seat belts for safety. The dash is also in great shape with all the gauges in working order except for the clock. The original radio still works and a cleverly hidden input for a modern device was installed as well as modern speakers. Not that you will want to listen to music as the new dual exhaust makes a pleasing note out of the small block. Included is the original owners manual and original brochure from Ben Frost & Son Chevrolet. This vehicle qualifies for an optional 90 day ASC drivetrain warranty. We can arrange shipping to your location. If you have any questions, please call or text Savannah Classic Cars at 912-235-2347.
Dont call it a wagon, because after all, the 1956 Chevrolet Nomad is one of the coolest grocery-getters of all time. This American icon only gets better with an upgraded V8 power and one of the most obtainable prices youve seen on this very rare example. Everyone loves seeing the iconic raked rear hatch and wraparound glass that made for one of the most prolific icons of the 1950s. These were the top-of-the-line Chevys that ran with the Bel Air coupes, and so these came with a lot of intricate brightwork. Thankfully all of these hard to source pieces are complete on this one everything from to the 1956-only grille, to the bright slats protecting the rear hatch. The sweeping side trim on the 56 is an exclusive touch thats the most artful of the Tri-Five era. Plus, those competition-style American Racing Torq Thrust wheels are a cool classic upgrade that hint at some extra power in this iconic Chevy. Less than 8,000 Nomads were produced in 1956, making them the lowest production Chevy that year by far. Now more than 60 years later, you are going to be hard-pressed to find one that is complete as this example. The interior highlights all the classic pieces you love, like the artful steering wheel, button-top two-tone seats, and a dual cowl dash that looks like it was borrowed from the Corvette. Youll even love the detail work like the bright headliner trim and AM radio thats still on display. The Tri-Fives were the dawn of the small block era. So its great to see this history under the hood, but now with a major upgrade. The 350 cubic-inch crate V8 is much younger and larger than anything offered in 56. It still has that great classic style with the bold block and finned valve covers. It really embraces the small block performance attitude by inhaling through a four-barrel carburetor and exhaling from long tube headers that add power as well as growl to the dual exhaust. More than a powerful presence, youre going to enjoy how this V8 fires readily. Thats thanks to good maintenance, including newer components like the plugs, wires, distributor, and large aluminum radiator. Plus, with a three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and power brakes, this Nomad is ready to enjoy right now. Theres potential here for everything from a cool rat rod to a restoration thatll command top-dollar. Thats the beauty of a having a rare Nomad thats so complete and already so powerful. Dont let this opportunity pass you by. Call now!

Over $300,000 invested into this one-off custom Bel-Air and is absolutely jaw-dropping from every angle. Winning many awards from the Good Guys Columbus Builders Choice award to the NSRA Louisville Top 25 Pro Pick, this 1956 is well deserving candidate for all the attention it receives. As you approach it from a distance, it looks like just a very well done 1956 Bel-Air. However, as you get closer the subtle modifications start to jump out at you. The grill was kicked out for a more stream-lined look, hood humps from a 57 Chevrolet were used to make the hood cowl, Porsche headlight lenses set back 1 , custom one-piece stainless roof moldings, removed vent windows from doors, and custom rear bumper notched for the twin exhaust are just a few of the cool and unique twists to this elegant Bel-Air. If you have the privilege of getting the chance to touch it, open the door using the slim Jaguar door handles and slide into the completely custom interior done by Paul Atkins using only the highest quality of materials. As you look out over the smoothed-out dash, you will be amazed at how clean and simple everything was kept in this build. Even the radio was hidden behind a door to keep any clutter out of sight. Despite the clean appearances, this car is fully functional and is a treat to drive! The 5.7L LS1 sitting under the hood comes to life with ease and a low rumble projects out the back. Slide it down into drive and the 4L60E automatic transmission does the work from there! The 350 horsepower is plenty to get this moving in a hurry and the Wilwood disc brakes bring it back to zero just as quick. As you arrive at your destination, get out, and look back at your ride; it is hard not to stop and stare. The ride height was dialed in to perfection and sits nicely on the Billet Specialty wheels. There were no corners cut on this build and is the ultimate choice for someone looking at a car that can be shown or enjoyed. No matter what the use may be, this car is a show stopper anywhere it goes! This vehicle is located in our Denver showroom. Whenever anybody thinks of Chevrolet in the 1950 s, almost always, the one specific make that comes to mind is the Bel Air. It is a very iconic vehicle and it really distinguished Chevy from other car manufacturers of the time. This particular 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air is nothing short of what would typically come to mind. Fully restored, this Bel Air is nothing short of a great vehicle. It possesses a V8 4bbl Carburetor allows it to run cleanly with no issues at all. Also it is very easy to drive, being that it has an Automatic Transmission. The 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air s goal was to create a sweeter, more frisky ride than that of the 55 and also create a vehicle with safer passing. They surely did not falter with their step forward in creating this vehicle. Whenever originally debuted in 1956, the consumers were absolutely wild about it. There were very minor modifications within the inside of the vehicle with a slightly new dashboard, and a hidden gas cap within the rear fin. One of the factors that the people of the 50 s were crazy about was the full array of color options. This particular chevy has a Two Tone exterior including the two colors Nassau Blue and India Ivory. Both of which, are very unique and vibrant colors that were not seen on any other vehicles of the time. The interior is two tone as well, made up of the colors Charcol and White. The 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air is an iconic vehicle, there is no debate about that, and with only 37,581 miles and an reasonable price of $49,888 you can own a piece of the past. The 56 Bel Air s motto after all was The Hot One is Even Hotter , and they definitely were on fire regarding sales made in 1956.

Very desirable Belair 2 door hardtop, no post. Its a rust free car. Same owner 20 years. It is very dialed in. Show condition and ready to drive anywhere. EXTERIOR: Super clean, straight body. Im looking on the sides of a car and it does not have a ripple, bubble or damage. I am impressed how well the doors fit, theyre completely flush with the body. The paint is really smooth and glossy. Virtually flawless paint, all I could find were a couple small touch ups. Guess what! The paint is 18 years old and still looks virtually new. The chrome is all beautiful. Upfront the bumper, grill, hood trim, hood ornament look new. The stainless moldings down the side and around the windows are straight. In back the tail lights, bumpers, emblems have been replaced. Door jambs are painted nice, weather stripping has been replaced. Windshield and gasket were replaced. Has a set of vintage style Torque Thrust 15 inch wheels on BFG tires, little bit fatter in the back. INTERIOR: It practically looks new inside. Has a set of bucket seats and in between them is a console and a 4-speed. The seats have new cushions. Seats and door panels have all been reupholstered to match. New carpet. The seats and console are from an Impala SS, console is in excellent condition. The dash has been painted a gloss black, the trim is replaced. A set of Cobalt gauges were installed and a matching tachometer is on the console. Has an upgraded stereo with kick panel speakers and speakers in the back shelf. Has a really nice leather wrapped Grant steering wheel. The overhead light works and white perforated headliner and visors are very nice, no tears. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Very clean and proper. Nice painted finishes, dressed up with aluminum and chrome. The motor is a built 350 bored to a 355. Has Crane cam, reworked aluminum heads with bigger stainless valves. Has aluminum and a dual feed Holley carb. Has coated headers. Motor runs cool thanks to an aluminum radiator and overflow bottle a d a fan shroud. Upgraded dual reservoir master cylinder. New painless wiring and fuse block. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Very clean metal painted semi gloss black. It does have a jack and a spare along with the rubber floor mat. The battery has been relocated to the trunk in a battery box and has an on-off switch. Weatherstrip is new. UNDERSIDE: People tell me their car is rust free all the time. I usually take it with a grain of salt especially on an old 55-57 Chevy. The owner was telling the truth in this case. I got the car on the lift and was impressed. The floors, rockers, frame supports are clean and look original, no patches. The underside is painted semi gloss black. Upfront it has disc brakes, replaced 3,000 miles ago. Front end is rebuilt, new shocks. Bottom of motor has finned aluminum oil pan, new starter. The trans is an M-20 Muncie 4-speed with Centerforce clutch. In back it has a 3.55 posi, new springs, air shocks, Lakewood traction bars and a new fuel tank. Fat exhaust, looks like Flowmaster mufflers. Emergency brake cables are hooked up. This is a good car, the owner was very sad to let it go. Finding a rust free Bel Air hardtop is not easy. A built 350 with a 4-speed and a 3.55 posi should be a fun ride. Ready for show and go. You arent buying someones problems, your buying his baby! Disc brakes Bucket seats Console Gauges Torque Thrust wheels Stereo
There are certainly a lot of good looking 55 through 57 Chevys out there, but come on this thing is really got to look. How could you not turn your head to check it out. The colors are outstanding, the lowered stance is great. This was born a real V-8 Bel Air hardtop. Obviously its been restored and upgraded, there is a pile of receipts. EXTERIOR: The paint has a very smooth glossy finish. Im looking down the sides- the fenders, doors, quarter panels are straight. I dont see any signs of rust bubbles or cracking. The paint is buffed out like glass. The colors make the car. The chrome and trim are great. Upfront the bumper, bumper guards, trim around the grill, headlight bezels, hood ornament, emblems are new. The stainless trim on the sides and all around the glass is shiny and straight. In back the bumper is rechromed and there are some big fat cool looking exhaust tips sticking out. The door jambs are painted nice, has new weather strips and sill plates. Door shuts really well. The windshield has been replaced and new gasket. The combination of the big Boss chrome wheels and 2 inch lowered suspension look great together. INTERIOR: Custom made yellow and white upholstery on the seats and side panels. Correct perforated headliner and visors. The dash is exceptionally sharp looking. It is painted the bright yellow with the Billet aluminum trim and a really nice custom gauge cluster. It is a full set of gauges by Classic Instruments including a tachometer. The steering wheel looks stock but its actually a little bit smaller which makes it easier to get in and out of the car. Glove box liner is new and the light even works! Looking through the receipts I noticed there is a lot more replaced than meets the eye. Heater controls, vent cables, underdash wire harness, firewall insulation, even the rubber bumpers on the ashtray. Window cranks are new. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Its real nice looking under the hood. It has a correct 265 motor with some upgrades- Edelbrock intake, Edelbrock carb with electric choke and MSD ignition.
