Sometimes all you want is a simple car with a V8 and timeless good looks, and a few creature comforts never hurt. This 1955 Chevy 210 2-door sedan is a no-nonsense shoebox Chevy that runs and drives and great as it looks, and offers all the right upgrades to make it a fantastic cruiser thats still happy to hit the shows. Thanks to a fairly complete renovation a few years ago, this great-looking Chevy has that classic look that never seems to go out of style. Judging by how quickly cars like this sell, we know you guys love the look and its the kind of car youd build yourself, preserving the integrity of the original while adding a dose of horsepower that makes it a blast to drive. Two-tone blue paint scheme isnt on the GM books but it looks period-perfect on the simple, clean lines of the 55 Chevy, and they added a hint of metallic so it has a custom look that really works. They also resisted the urge to make radical modifications to the body, because, honestly, do you really think you could improve on this? Thankfully, all the original trim is intact, with the 210 offering a less ornate look right out of the box and which works extremely well with the mild makeover this car received. All the trim was restored at the same time, and it includes clean 1-piece bumpers that give it a smooth look as well as a set of optional (and rare) bumper guards that really change the look. The interior is a matching two-tone blue setup thats a lot more subtle than the original upholstery but keeps a period-correct vibe. Matching door panels are beautifully crafted and all the original hardware is intact, including handles and garnish moldings. Even the original dash and instrument panel are in place, fully restored, with auxiliary gauges neatly installed in the dash like they belong there. Upgrades include under-dash air conditioning that uses the original controls, an AM/FM/CD stereo, and an upgraded tilt steering column with a GM comfort grip wheel. The very trunk is finished to match, complete with blue carpets that tie in neatly with the rest of the interior when viewed from behind. The great thing about the small block Chevys longevity is that you can drop a modern crate motor under the hood of a vintage shoebox and it fits perfectly. Thanks to that smooth-running 350 cubic inch V8, this car cruises effortlessly at modern speeds, starts easily, and parts are plentiful just about anywhere in the country, so long trips are worry-free affairs. Theres a mild cam inside, an Edelbrock carburetor, MSD ignition, and a Summit intake manifold to make it run right. Finned valve covers and an open-element air cleaner dress it up, along with a shiny chrome accessories and Chevy Orange paint. A giant aluminum radiator keeps it cool under the harshest conditions, and with long-tube headers and a recent dual exhaust system, it has an authoritative rumble to it. A 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission powers the original rear end, so its fantastic on the highway and front disc brakes were added for safety. The front suspension was recently rebuilt so it tracks straight and proves you dont need a modern suspension to have decent ride and handling. 18-inch wheels give the car a hot-rod look and wear 235/40/18 performance radials that give it the perfect stance. Classic good looks, plenty of power, and enough custom touches to make people look twice, this 55 Chevy is a great way to travel. Call today!
How easy is it to own a eyeball-grabbing hot rod? Buy this 1955 Chevrolet 210 2-door post sedan! Built a few years ago and with a long list of upgrades on its resume, its an easy-going street machine thats clearly built to cruise. Reliable, well-sorted, and very attractive, this is the car theyre talking about when they say you couldnt possibly duplicate it for the price. With a history like this one, you already know its a nice car. Its also vivid in bright blue, which means they had to spend a ton of time on it, making sure everything was flat and straight, that panels lined up just right, and all the other little things that go into making a show car. No short cuts, no botched workmanship, this car has already been scrutinized and found worthy, so its ready to rock with a new owner. Sure, its been driven a bit in the last 20 years or so, but that does nothing to diminish the quality of the work and it seems to defy the years; I mean, just look at the reflections in the quarter panels! All the chrome and trim, and yes, theres quite a bit of it, is in good condition and all of it remains in place, from the beautiful front bumper with a pair of accessory bumper guards to the 1-piece California rear bumper. The two-tone tweed interior has a wonderful, inviting look. Yes, its beautifully stitched and doesnt go to any extremes to make a point, but the quality materials with a bit of age on them seem to beckon you to climb inside. For example, the front seat is original and uses a factory-style pattern, but the updated materials give it an entirely new look. The original dash sparkles with a polished billet insert running its width and a full set of trick digital gauges from Dakota Digital. A painted tilt column and custom steering wheel are the most obvious mods, but theres also A/C, an AM/FM stereo system, and a 4-speed shifter on the floor (check out the custom seat notch!). Open the trunk and youll find a matching storage compartment that shows someone went the extra mile with this Chevy. You already know this car is a runner, and thanks to the 350 cubic inch V8 under the hood, it should continue to do so for years to come. A few dress-up parts like the Edelbrock air cleaner and chrome valve covers make it look great, but the hardware is first rate and built to drive. Upgrades include an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor and intake manifold, power disc brakes with a dual reservoir master cylinder, and a big radiator with a pair of electric fans to keep things cool. Its backed by the aforementioned 4-speed manual transmission and stock rear end, so it just burbles along on the highway without taking the edge off acceleration. A rebuilt suspension, new brake and fuel lines, and a rumbling dual exhaust provide a great driving experience, and with those traditional Torque Thrust wheels and 215/65/15 BFGoodrich T/A radials, it definitely has the right look. A very handsome and nicely built 210 that is idea for cruise nights and the Long Haul Gang on next years Power Tour, this 55 easily demonstrates how to do it right. Call today!

If you like chrome on a car, and you like it to shine bright. Then you should check out this ride. If you are looking for a family cruiser, something to head out to get ice cream in, then you should check out this ride. For the price of a new, basic, cookie cutter car, you could be driving this good looking, fun and functional classic. The color on this car is the correct, code 589 Glacier Blue that it was delivered with new from the factory. Up front, there is classic rocket shaped hood ornament leading the way. Below it is a red, white and blue Chevy bowtie emblem and below that an eggcrate grill trimmed out with a bold band of chrome. Yet more chrome trims out the headlights and marker lights and a beautifully large bumper underlines everything. Down the sides a nice body crease trails off the headlights and further back, chrome molding dovetails into the notch in the rear door and flows on back kind of like the rocket on the hood. Out back is even more chrome with the taillights trimmed in it along with another sharp looking bumper with a chrome exhaust tip peeking out from underneath. Finishing off the look are body colored steel wheels with chrome bowtie hub caps and white wall tires. The interior is classic 50s. Open the door, any one of the four of them, and you are greeted by a nice Gaberdine Blue interior with Light Blue patterned cloth. This is also the factory original color that the car was delivered in new and the upholstery and door panels have been nicely brought back to look new again. The door panels look awesome and the bench seats both front and rear are comfortable and offer lots of room to move around with lots of leg and headroom. There is a big blue two-spoke steering wheel with a full circle horn ring which has a wonderfully vintage feel to it. The dash is 1950s stylish with a survivor look to it because the chrome around the gauges and on the controls is not new and shiny, but rather aged like a fine wine. That radio may look like the factory AM unit, but it is really a Custom Autosound AM/FM and iPod compatible stereo with the speakers mounted under the dash for your listening pleasure. Pop the hood and you will find a 12-volt battery that not only enables the upgrade of the nice stereo, but provides better lighting and easier starting than the old 6-volt system too. Other than that, this engine bay looks just like it did in the 1950s. There is a 235 cubic inch 6-cylinder engine setting down in there with a flat black oil bath air filter feeding a Rochester two-barrel carburetor. Like the dash chrome, there is a certain earned appeal to something that has aged in place gracefully. That doesnt mean it was neglected though. It means that it has received good regular maintenance like keeping the belts and hoses in good shape as well as replacing the ignition components, and of course, there is the 12-volt electrical system upgrade which keeps its charge through a 12-volt generator. Power flows back through the 3-speed manual transmission to the rear wheels and the rubber meets the road through 215/75R15 tires mounted on those great looking steel wheels and hub caps. A great looking, great driving car with plenty of sparkling chrome and plenty of vintage appeal. Come on down and see for yourself. Maybe you will end up taking it home and then out to get some ice cream.
This car can be described in three words. Attention to detail. It applies to the work on the body and paint as well as the interior, but where it carries the most weight is in the documentation of the engine work. And when the pressure is on with a car like this, thats where it matters most. There are 14 pages of build and maintenance receipts, and tech types will be in paradise reading it. If youre not a techie, you can at least appreciate that the guys that built this think definitely knew what they were doing and did it right. Check it out. Starting with that body and paint work, its gorgeous! Details like shaved door handles and taking all the badges off the car let the beautiful lines of this classic 55 stand for themselves without distractions. Well, except for that big one poking up through the hood. But thats what this car is all about, so its not a distraction, its a statement. You may also notice the serious rake to the chassis of this car and the beefy rear tires which put an exclamation point on that statement. The front end is right in character for this 55 with a pair of headlights perched high on the fenders and an eggcrate grill trimmed in chrome which is underlined by a big wraparound chrome bumper. There is a slash of chrome down the side and a bit more on the taillights and back bumper. A custom airbrushed Rat Fink mural appears on the trunk lid in period correct fashion and Billet specialty wheels complete the look. Open the door with the poppers and you will find a custom Black leather interior with plenty of attention to detail. The door panel has brushed metal diagonal accents and red stitching dressing out the armrest. The high back bucket seats are trimmed in black and gray with red stitching, and offer plenty of support for spirited driving. The white Hurst shifter for the manual transmission rises from the floor within easy reach for quick shifts under pressure. The custom billet steering wheel looks awesome and sits on a tilt column making for easy entry and exit as well as comfortable positioning. The custom dash includes a Classic Instruments gauge pack in the stock location while the glove box has been nicely deleted on the passenger side. The lower dash in black and red holds a boost gauge as well as a Sony head unit for your listening pleasure, that is if youre not listening to the engine sing at the top of its lungs. About that engine. We will cover the basics here, but please ask your salesmen about the engine documentation in order to be truly impressed. It is a 400 cubic inch powerhouse of a V8 that is blown by an SBC 8-71 supercharger and is set up for nitrous too. There are dual 4-barrel carburetors feeding it with a Weiand intake distributing it, and an MSD 6AL-2 programable ignition firing it. Spent gasses are sent back through the headers and a 3 stainless exhaust. The internal parts have all been blueprinted and balanced and assembled by a professional. That 5-speed transmission gets the power headed back to Richmond 3.55 gear set with 31 spline Moser axles with a Pro-street coil over set up making sure the power gets to the ground effectively. The front end has a Maval power steering set up working through control arms and coil springs. Front disc brakes provide the whoa power to haul all this go power back down from speed. This is an awesome 55 Rat Rod. If you have ever had a mind to own a car like this, then you owe it to yourself to come down and check it out. There is so much more to it than can be covered here.
The last of the '67 Ford Shelby GT500 EXP notchback coupes known as "Little Red" is set for restoration
We could tell you this 1955 Chevrolet 210 Del Ray Restomod is a complete and custom build, but you already knew that from the first impression. While every picture reveals a big investment, dont forget to look at all the details that makes this a unique and European-inspired American classic. This coupe grabs all the right attention. The slippery-smooth Titanium Silver Metallic color is an instant signal that they turned this iconic Tri-Five into a very modern machine. In fact, the color is actually borrowed from a Porsche Cayenne! This also has large 18-inch Breyton lightweight wheels intended for a modern BMW. Even details like the side mirrors and door handles were borrowed from Porsches. So yes, this Chevy is very unique with its Euro flair. But theres a ton more here than just integrating the best of Germany. For example, while most 55 Chevys are known for a two-tone presentation, this one does it a bit differently. All the traditional bright work including the bumpers, trim, bezels, jet-inspired hood ornament, etc. was expertly re-finished in a lighter silver with the same slick clear coat as the exterior paint. The result as a shine that evenly runs over the whole car while it highlights the unique monochromatic presentation. So be prepared to attract everyone from classic car lover to art aficionados! Inside the modern tone continues. It especially draws your attention to extra hints of bright color, like the unmistakable M-series tri-tone stripes. It instantly let people know the leather seats were borrowed from a modern performance BMW. Even more details were borrowed from the Germans, like the three-point seatbelts and the Mercedes door panels. Its all expertly integrated into this classic. More than just a unique presentation, youre going to love this for its premium features, such as power front seats, power windows, an AM/FM/CD stereo with aux input, and provisions for air conditioning. Of course, this is more than just a coddler. Your right hand is instantly attracted to the B&M shifter, and your left one loves the grip of the Momo steering wheel. And beyond that, the full set of digital readouts and the large AutoMeter tach w/shift light instantly get your senses tingling with performance. Grab your sunglasses before opening the hood. They saved the true bright work for the engine bay, and so we dare you to find another component that can be polished to a mirror-like shine. And while you could win awards on presentation alone, there is serious substance behind the style. This is a 350 cubic-inch ZZ3 performance crate motor with less than 12k miles on it. This V8 includes upgrades such as fuel injection, aluminum heads, steel crank, roller cam/lifters, and a large Be Cool aluminum radiator to keep it all running cool. The ceramic coated Hooker headers add even more power as the feed the center-exit dual exhaust. A European-inspired car also means one that can handle sharply on the roads. But to accomplish this, they utilized some very American components. The traditional Chevy front suspension has been upgraded to tubular A-arms. In the rear, this utilizes a C4 Corvette style setup to give you a fully independent suspension. There are just too many new performance components under here to list (call us for all the details!) but the freshness of everything from the sway bar to the bushings reminds you how fresh this whole build is. Because this is the perfect machine for both performance driving and grand touring, you have a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. It provides instant downshifts for performance driving and overdrive comfort for cruising. Plus, there are other great driving features, such as power steering, four-wheel disc brakes, and the modern grip of Pirelli P-Zero Nero tires. There are so many more details of this build to go over including the awards it already won, full photo book, and the magazines that have featured it. So give us a call so we can go over everything that proves this Euro Chevy is the coolest and most unique build you can take home right now.

So when an such a correct icon is also so affordable, you know this deal is irresistible. Tri-Five Chevys are always in demand, and this is the one that launched the legend. The factory-correct Neptune Green covers every inch of this sedan, even on the matching wheels. So were glad someone invested in a respray later in life to give it a fine luster in the sunshine. But proper bright work is what you really need to get this icon right. Plus, the way the rear trim almost seamlessly passes through the door line is another sign of quality. So youll love this one for its authenticity, right down to its set of whitewall tires. The turquoise-like paint continues on the inside, and now its joined by a deeper shade of green. Its all factory-correct and when combined with the exterior, it gives this sedan a bit of a tropical feel. There have been some nice investments here with correctly restored seats and carpeting. So they blend nicely with all the factory pieces like the artful steering wheel and dual cowl dash. It creates a time capsule-like atmosphere that has enough space to share with family and friends. And if you like time capsules, just lift the hood. The Tri-Fives launched Chevys small block era, and so plenty of people will get excited about this engine bay. Not only is 265 cubic inches the correct first-ever small block displacement, but also this is a year-correct block. So while the original motor cannot be confirmed, most people are going to suspect it is even before you say anything. The V8 is good for power, and the column-shifted three-speed manual transmission lets you take full control of it. For sale at Blackdog Performance Cars is a 1955 Chevrolet 210. The 1955 model year was the first year known as the Tri-Five era. This 55’ 210 spent most of its days as an Arizona car, and is very solid. It was used primarily as a get-around-town car while it’s owner was visiting the area. The bottom half of the body is finished in orange while the top half is finished in off-white. Powering this 55’ 210 is a 350 CID V8 engine with chrome valve covers, an Edelbrock aluminum intake and carburetor, and an RPC air filter. An aluminum radiator and electric fan help cool this engine down on hot summer days, while the Vintage Air A/C keeps the passengers cool inside the car. Headers flow from the engine creating a nice growl. The TH-350 automatic transmission transfers the power to the rear end and to the pavement. It also features a front disc brake conversion including dual brake master with power assist. The front brake calipers are early 70's from GM so finding replacement parts is easy. The vinyl interior shares the same color combination as the exterior with black carpeting covering the floor boards. The dash remains fairly original, sans the AM/FM radio and air conditioning vents mounted to the underside.
