This 1954 Chevrolet Corvette is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. When initially released in 1953 the Corvette was intended to compete with the smaller European sports cars of that era. Harley Earl developed the initial design which was sleek smaller 2 seat sports car that looked amazing and caught everyone s attention, but the price would seem to be a major setback. Having that said GM would only sell 3640 units in 1954 making these extremely collectible today. This particular beauty has been treated to a yearlong frame off restoration with pictures and receipts included with the sale. Once completed the car was driven for about 600 miles and put on display at the Corvette museum in Bowling Green KY for enthusiasts to enjoy. The body was taken off and stripped down and then painted back to its original white color which still looks amazing today. With all of the chrome either replaced or brought back to its original luster it easy to see why so many caught the Corvette bug. The frame was treated to the same process which not only insured the structural integrity but gave the underneath a fresh and clean look. The original, numbers matching, blue flame six was cleaned up with the original 2 speed power glide given the same treatment. With the engine and transmission back together, they were placed back onto that freshly painted frame. With the body completed it was dropped back onto the frame giving this 1954 Corvette its new lease on life. The red interior was the last step with the red really popping against that white exterior. The tan convertible top is in excellent shape and shows well but this car was meant to be seen with the top down. Press the button between the seats and place the top in the hidden storage area and the 1954 Corvette has the look of a true roadster. When it is all said and done this Corvette is sure to make the next owner a very happy person. Options on this 1954 Corvette include a Manual Convertible Top, Leather Interior, AM Radio, Hubcaps and, Bias Ply White Wall Tires. Only 63,848 original miles and restored to original specifications! All original, date codeddrivetrain and never modified! Comes from the private collection in Tennessee after 13 years of ownership! An incredibly original and worthy Corvette blue chip investment! It just continues to look authentically untouched in every respect! 1954 Chevrolet Corvette Background: In 1951, the initial seed was planted at GM by the legendary Harley Earl, creator of the GM Art and Color department which was the predecessor to automobile styling departments around the world. Although essentially classified as a Harley Earl design, the first Corvette was actually sketched up by a young stylist named Bob McLean for the 1953 Motorama. Over the next several months the Corvette quickly took shape in the form of a clay model in late 1952 and shortly thereafter, a running prototype finished just in time for the show. By the end of 1953 the first production Corvettes rolled off the line in Flint, Michigan, essentially hand built cars, the 1953s are the rarest of all Corvettes with only 300 units produced. In 1954, production moved to St. Louis, Missouri to a new facility capable of building hundreds of cars per month. Although people loved the new Corvette, 1954 sales were slow and more than 1,100 units still sat on showroom floors at the end of the model year! Faced with sluggish sales, GMs top brass panicked and almost ended Corvette before it had a chance to get started. The introduction of the V-8 in 1955 saved the Corvette and breathed new life into the model, sales rocketed and the legendary automotive milestone was assured a bright and prosperous future. Today they are as American as apple pie! 1954 Chevrolet Corvette Info: Finished in Polo White with Red interior, this classic 1954 Chevrolet Corvette features a numbers & date code correct 235ci Blue Flame 150 Inline 6-cylinder, heater with defrost, full instrumentation, parking brake alarm, courtesy lights, windshield washer, Power Glide automatic transmission, wide whitewall tires, and correct Signal Seeking AM radio! Having been sympathetically restored using the original body and factory components, this classic Corvette shows exceptionally well in person with a very original appearance. This includes original LOF windshield glass, correct mesh air cleaners, X down pipe, chrome overflow tank, proper ignition shielding, original starter, AC fuel filter bowl, and more! Being a mid-year development example, #2462, you will note the short exhaust tips but dual pot air filter assembles added, and correct single hood release handle. The only noted enhancements include newer BF Goodrich Silvertown Radial white whitewall tires measuring 205/75R15 for better road manners. Because these first generation Corvettes were essentially hand built at the factory, they were known for cosmetic flaws and body panel alignment imperfections. Today, many of these cars have been over-restored which, according to many, is a detraction from the collector value and visceral hand built character that has made these early Vettes so desirable. With only 3,640 produced, and all equipped exactly the same, this 1954 Corvette is among the rarest and sought after of American favorites! And for many represent one of the most collectible and investment worthy cars available to enthusiasts today. Also included will be the original date-coded Plexiglas side curtains, storage bag, reproduction owners manual, with authentic poly-4 spare tire hidden in the storage well. This example hails from the previous Tennessee owner of more than 13 years! It has been wonderfully kept in his climate-controlled garage, and properly serviced and exercised annually during the driving season. Most recently, the YH Carter carburetors where fully rebuilt with new intake gaskets, new tires, fresh oil/filter, and overall tune up along with new valve cover gasket. The last compression results reported perfect compression between 132-140 across all cylinders. For the extremely savvy collector or investor, there will be few such opportunities to acquire such an affordable example of this special car in all the years of appreciation to come! With prices of fresh restored examples exceeding $100,000, acquiring a drivable and exceptionally clean original like this is truly a unique find. This Corvette is in authentic cosmetic and mechanical condition and can be driven right off the showroom floor. Ownership and service records from 2002 will be provided to the next owner. All cars are advertised locally and nationally. Please do not hesitate to call us with questions or to discuss securing a vehicle. We look forward to working with you!

1954 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster The popularity of some of Americas greatest muscle cars has grown to the point that components, and even complete replicas, are produced as entirely new assemblies. Of course, being an astute enthusiast, you already knew that. I mean, when was the last time you saw an original Shelby Cobra? The replicar phenomenon gained even more momentum when Congress passed the Low Volume Motor Vehicles Manufacturers Act of 2015, prompting, among other things, a revival of niche manufacturers like Checker Motor Cars. With that in mind, it seems perfectly logical that this killer second year Corvette body, a ground-up, custom build, happily prowls the streets as a modern restomod. The name Art Morrison is legendary in his hot rod and restomod creations. Taking present day engineering in suspension and drive train technologies, Morrison re-creates classics of the past with the performance and function of modern-day super cars. Exterior This Morrison 1954 is draped in beautiful red that is miles deep. Simple lines with a generous peppering of chrome from the front grille, to the headlight bezels and screens, to the wonderful jet age belt line trim that stretches from bumper to bumper. Its the 50s, and fins are in, and this Corvette does not disappoint by subtly displaying themselves over the taillight. Five spoke chrome American racing wheels are on all four corners The S curve that is created by the tail of this car is sssssimply exquisite! Interior Plenty of tan, and plenty of leather make up the comfy drivers compartment. Extra wide buckets stretch from door to door, where the theme is continued with all leather door panels with replicated Corvette panel stitching. A symmetrical metal dash with cream fronting and red top, houses symmetrically aligned gauges from Stewart Warner. A virtual sea of pristine tan carpeting flows uninterrupted within the floor of the passenger compartment. A push of a button between the buckets reveals a very good condition black convertible top. Removable side screens that protect the passengers in inclement weather, are easily installed atop the doors. Power steering and air conditioning, a Lokar shifter, and seat belts are a few of the awesome upgrades made during the restoration. Drivetrain Power comes from a Chevy LT-1 engine producing over 330hp through a 4160E floor mounted automatic transmission. Suspension is all C4 Corvette including its 4-wheel power disc brakes. Undercarriage Clean, structurally sound and not a hint of any rust, everything can be clearly viewed looking from under this build. The attention to detail, the use of C4 suspension, and a new Magnaflow exhaust have this 64 year old classic operating as new. An Art Morrison build is legendary, the use of new technology is innovative, and the look of this 1954 example Corvette is awesome. All the drama of owning an over half century old car is taken away and the only worry you will have is the crowds of people this beauty will attract.

1954 Chevrolet Corvette Corvair Motorama Re-creation concept was a 2-door fastback, 2 passenger coupe. When it debuted at the 1954 GM Motorama in New York City, it was a Ruby Red color but was repainted light Sea Foam Green for the subsequent Los Angeles Show. The Corvair used the Corvette front end, thought it sported ribbed air intakes on the hood that routed fresh air to the interior and fender vents that allow heat to escape the engine compartment. The Corvair had a wrap-around windshield and the roof was aircraft inspired sweeping back into the chrome trimmed license plate housing., which resembled a jet fighter exhaust port. This Corvair was built over a three year period by Brett Henderson and owner Mike Terry. Every effort was taken to duplicate the legendary Motorama Corvair seen here. Nearly all body panels were custom made including all of the window glass. This car has a custom built 265 cid V8 prototype motor for the 1955 Corvette with a 700R transmission hooked up to a 1956 Corvette rear end so you can drive this Corvair down the road if you wish to. The interior is all custom had made to accent the Ruby Red color of the car. This car was built from a 1954 Corvette and is titled as such with the original Vin. tag and last four of the Vin. number stamped into the stamp pad of the motor block. The numbers on the motor block are also custom to make it a prototype for a prototype Motorama Car. This is a 1 of 1 car. This is for the Corvette Collector or a Museum, or the person who wants what know one else has. GM built 1 1954 Corvette Corvair and there is only 1 in the world. So if you are wanting to own a 1 of 1 only 1 there is then this is your chance. This car has won awards. -Vehicle is on consignment and at our clients home -Please Call First and talk to a rep at 231-468-2809 EXT 1 -Showroom is by appointment only Please Call -If you would like a FREE Listing please visit our consignment page or Call
