Just a neat old pickup? Guess again! Someone pulled out all the stops on this 1952 Ford F-1, giving it a traditional look with plenty of vintage horsepower compliments of a Chevy small block, slick-shifting automatic transmission, and a great 1950s look. If you appreciate performance hidden inside an old-school truck, this Ford is for you! At first glance, this handsome pickup has just the right vintage look to be charming. You dont expect it to be fast, not with looks like that, but it will bring a smile to everyones face when they see it ambling down the road. The freshened Ford face would become one of the most popular vehicles in history, and despite thousands of dollars worth of work, this one retains its commercial good looks with modest trim and gorgeous bright blue paint. Its quite straight, suggesting that this one was tasked with light-duty work all its life, and when it was freshened someone took their time to get it right, because this sucker is awfully nice. The fat fenders look awesome crouching over the modern rolling stock, the original hood and doors fit quite nicely, and the bed has been filled with wood planks that lend it a rustic feel. Theres a custom rear roll pan with four taillights out back, so its easy to spot on the roll, but the rest is quite traditional. Theres not much inside that hasnt been seriously reworked. The bucket seats look right at home and come from a late-model F150 so theyre comfortable and easy to adjust. The dash is original, but the gauges inside are modern Faria units that were neatly integrated into the design. A tilt column features an American Racing wheel with a fat rim and the floor-mounted shifter is linked to a TH350 3-speed automatic, so this little pickup is quite easy to drive. All the wiring is new, and aftermarket turn signals were added, since in 1952 they were still not standard equipment on pickup trucks. A Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo provides entertainment, although you may not need it with the way this one dances on the road. Its got a nice look, dont you think? The engine is a 350 cubic inch Chevy V8 tucked down low in the engine bay so it almost looks authentic. The result it a torque factory that moves this pickup like a modern muscle car. Its a nice touch to see that it was painted the same corporate turquoise as the original flathead V8, although the Edelbrock intake manifold, 4-barrel carburetor, and chrome air cleaner suggest theres a bit more horsepower on tap. Service access is quite good and the simple hardware makes this truck bulletproof out on the road. The chassis incorporates a Mustang II front suspension, rack-and-pinion steering, 4-wheel disc brakes, and a lowered suspension that rides surprisingly well. The exhaust system is just about right, with a burbling exhaust note complements of a set of glasspack-style mufflers. Familiar Torque Thrust wheels look exactly right and theyre wrapped in staggered 15-inch radials to give it a bit of a rake. Nicely built but fully sorted, this is the kind of truck thats welcome just about everywhere it goes. With only about 5000 miles on the build, its ready to cruise right now. Call today!

This beautiful First Generation F Model 1952 Ford F1 Pick up is presented in Coral Flame Red with Tan interior. It has a beautiful oak bed and a 239 cu in 100hp Flathead V8 backed up by a 3 speed On the Tree manual Transmission. It has been completely restored that shows a quality FORD TRUCK. In the last year of the Bonus Built series, Ford introduced an overhead-valve 215-cid six-cylinder engine, rated at 101 horsepower. The flathead V-8, still at 239-cid, got a bump in compression ratio, increasing output to 106 horsepower. Hood trim was revamped, and front grille color was changed from silver to white, This one has the color matched with Chrome. The first F-Series truck (known as the Ford Bonus-Built) was introduced in 1948 as a replacement for the previous car-based pickup line introduced in 1941. It had a flat, one-piece windshield and integrated headlamps.1 It had a wider cab.1 Options included the See-Clear windshield washer (operated by foot plunger), passenger-side windshield wiper & sun visor, and passenger-side taillight. Design of the F-Series truck changed tremendously from 1950 to 1954. From 1948 to 1950, the grill was a series of horizontal bars and the headlights were set into the fenders. For 1951 and 1952, the headlights were connected by a wide aerodynamic cross piece with three similarly aerodynamic supports. The rear window was wider in the later trucks and the dashboard was redesigned. F-Series trucks were assembled at sixteen different Ford factories. Launched in 1948, the legendary Ford F-series began as a replacement for the previous car based pickups. For the first time, Ford was building pickups on a dedicated truck platform creating a much better work horse than previously available. Classic trucks are gaining momentum in the collector auto markets. Fords 1st F-series generation lasted from the 1948-1952 model years, but significantly changed in appearance from year to year making each version unique and pretty rare. While trucks sold well, most were obviously used for heavy work -loads leaving few surviving examples in excellent condition.GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this lovely 1952 F-1 for your consideration. Coming to u from Washington, this beautiful truck was treated to a frame off restoration around eight years ago and was repainted in fire truck red. A factory look stereo looks good and works well and everything else appears very factory fresh. This nice truck goes down the road very well and is a joy to drive with its 3-speed manual transmission.
