This 1941 Ford Super Deluxe convertible must be a nice car, as the last owner has kept it since 1960. He performed plenty of maintenance and upgrades during his ownership which has kept the car in great mechanical and cosmetic condition. This Ford has never been a rust bucket. It has a solid frame and body, with the only rust repair being the tool storage area at the back of the trunk. The car was repainted around 1990 in its original blue, which was color matched to an unexposed section of paint underneath the top. Speaking of the top, it was also replaced around 1990 using quality material from Haartz. Note too all the moldings, bumper guards, and wing tips. The flathead motor was rebuilt in 2000. It received a few performance upgrades, most notably a beautiful tri-power intake. There is also a slightly larger camshaft, aluminum heads, and chrome headers. All original parts are included. The electrical system was converted to 12V except for the radio, power top mechanism, and fuel gauge. Note the radio has the rare foot operated station selector. This car has also had the front end lowered. It gives the car a nice rake when coupled with the 15" front wheels and 16" rears. The front brakes were converted to discs too. Again, all original parts are included. The interior has been updated with LeBaron Bonney seat covers that really looks sharp. Note the original floor treatment of rubber in front and carpet in back. The vacuum wipers and big original horns are present and functional. So are the original jack assembly and accessory bug guards - very neat! This car is such a piece of history, yet still runs great and has a classy look. It has been cherished by the same owner for nearly 60 years. But now it's time for someone else to enjoy this classic. Could that be you?

Sweeping lines, rarity, and a great restored woody appearance makes this 1941 Ford Super Deluxe wagon instantly desirable. Its a complete car that carries its history in its original appearance. And because this is perfect for everything from the ultimate surf wagon to the perfect car show cruiser, it also has enough interior space and V8 power to carry everyone along for the experience. Every time you think about a Beach Boys song or a Frankie & Annette movie, this is the car that comes to mind. The Ford woody wagon has an iconic image that has its own instant charm because they are so rare. In fact, due to the high cost (related to the wood bodys hand-crafted labor) these were often some of the rarest and most expensive vehicles the Ford offered in its day. Thats why someone has taken the investment of time and money to restore this carefully. Ford example, the minty green lacquer paint correctly represents how this would look in 1941. Plus, its the perfect color to distinguish the rounded metal while still having a warm enough tone to compliment the real wood. But what you really love about this wagon is looking at all the finely crafted wood joints that come together to make an upright classic body. You also get to see up-close the adaptations made to fit the metal elements. The magic is really in the curves over the A-pillars and rear fenders. Youll marvel at where the front doors have a craftsman lower panel to meet the fenders. Its truly one of the best representations of rolling American artwork. The original idea of a station wagon was to ferry hotel passenger to and from the train station, and so this one still has plenty of space to carry everyone thanks to three rows of seating. Just like the exterior, the tan leather on the seats and the carpeting with rubber mats appear quite correct and authentic. But once again, its the lumber that steals the show. The one-piece side panels are held in by the correct bright stainless bolts, and the restored framework in the roof makes the interior feel like a cabin. While this one has a true old-world atmosphere, when you sit behind the wheel there is a different kind of vintage feeling. These pre-war Fords have a terrific art deco feel to them, and you see it as the cream and brown is met by plenty of bright trim on the steering wheel and AM radio speaker. And the working heater means you wont be uncomfortable if you decide hit the car show at dawn to get this standout Ford a prime spot (Its already a multiple awards winner, but theres plenty of room in the back to take home more trophies!) The 221 cubic-inch flathead V8 really needs no introduction, and youll be quite happy to know that this very correct-looking motor is also likely from the correct era. The engine bay is nicely detailed with the correct dual hoses, oil bath air cleaner, and tall single-barrel carburetor. With legendary flathead power, this neat woody has a wonderful punch and a great soundtrack. The three-speed manual transmission shifts easily, and still feels powerful around town no matter if youre carrying surfboards or a carload of passengers. This one keeps its authenticity right down color-matched steel wheels with shiny Ford hubcaps, trim rings, and fresh whitewall tires. You get great paperwork including the original bill of sale, build receipts, and restoration photos so you can really see this cars full resurrection. Turn-key craftsman machines like this rarely come up for sale, so you may want to call us today, or you could regret it tomorrow!
Heres a cool hot rod that mixes rarity and originality with some great upgrades. This 1941 Ford Super Deluxe convertible is a true head-turner at any car show, and with great driveability, you will want to cruise all day long. This well-presented droptop is a nice cross between an original car and a street rod. Sometimes custom work goes too far and takes away a cars soul, but not this one. Just take a look at the front end. The trim has been smoothed and the headlights frenched. But beyond this, you get everything that makes this special, including the Ford script etched in the front and the 1941-only three-part grille. The tall fenders and rounded trunk look like they were made for this modern and glossy black. There was $14k invested in the paint alone in 2009, and so its nice to see this shine uninterrupted through the expert elimination of trim and the door handles. Add in the correct bumpers, dual side mirrors, wide exhaust tips, and half-moon hubcaps, and this is the perfect representation of slick black and all the right brightwork. While the bright red roof looks fantastic against the black paint, we like it even better when its down. The combination of black exterior and maroon interior is the kind of attractiveness that will draw attention from across a show field. And as people get closer, they know theyre in for something special. The interior was done in 2007 at an expense over $23k, and the investment really shows. The quality maroon leather knows how to last, and so it still looks new today on the seats and matching side panels. And because this vehicle is all about a tasteful mix of old and new, youll love the classic cream-colored steering wheel that matches the original dash. And because youll want to really drive this classic custom, theres a set of newer auxiliary gauges to give you a clear picture of whats going on in the engine bay. The moment you open the hood the dual down pipes and bolt-on flathead are the unmistakable hallmarks of the true Ford V8 power. The 221 cubic-inch flathead is a legendary powerplant, and its the correct displacement for a 41. Its a great engine for reliable power when new, and that still holds true today thanks to more modern upgrades like an Edelbrock carburetor, an alternator, and an extra fan on the radiator. Its all part of a total package that had over $10k invested in the mechanical setup. So with the glasspack-style dual exhaust and a three-on-the-tree manual transmission for a bit of fun, youve got a great all-around driver. We mentioned a lot about the money invested in this custom creation, and so youll be happy to know there are the restoration receipts and photos that come with the sale. Its a unique and cool build that will attract attention wherever it goes. So if youre ready for all eyes on you, call today!
We acquired this beautiful car from an estate of a collector of late 1930s and early 1940 Fords. We can tell that this car was one of his favorites by the notes he kept with the car and the attention to detail he had in keeping the car in great working condition. The collector had a mechanic whom kept his collection in tip top condition, and this Super Deluxe has a spotless engine compartment with the correct components. The trunk is solid with the original factory paint and wood in excellent condition. The car has the original rebuilt radio, rebuilt heater and newer tires. All the gauges and systems work properly. Some of the unique features of this 1941 Ford is the factory installed (and operational) power convertible top and remote hood release. Seat belts have been installed for safety. The Super Deluxe starts very easily with no drama or smoke, runs like a sewing machine, shifts easily, the clutch is strong and smooth with no chatter. Here is a video test drive: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYcfLQEst9g&t=97s This is one of the very best condition original Fords from this period I have ever seen. Its a driver that could be made into a show car. We have financing available with approved credit (apply here https://www.lagunaclassiccars.com/financing). We can also arrange delivery to almost anywhere.

85 bhp, 221 cu. in. L-head V-8 engine, three-speed manual transmission, solid front and live rear axle with transverse semi-elliptic leaf springs, and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. Wheelbase: 114 in.• Four owners from new; kept by the original family for decades• Formerly owned by Ralph Marano and Malcolm Pray• An outstanding restoration presenting exceptionally well todayBefore the station wagon became an iconic part of American family life, it belonged to a different social class. Reputedly, the term "station wagon" was first developed based on the common practice of the owner of a country house traveling to the train station to pick up his guests and their luggage for the weekend. Later, the station wagon became associated with use as a utility vehicle for servants of the house, and it was also perhaps used for the occasional picnic or quail hunt. Yet, it was as much a part of the life well-lived and a symbol of genteel prosperity. That is the purpose that this 1941 Ford Super DeLuxe served for so many years in its original ownership. It is a symbol of a bygone time, when these wagons could be seen regularly on the road, often with their owner's monogram or yacht club burgee proudly borne on the doors. This Station Wagon was originally owned by a family near Blairstown, New Jersey, and it would be more accurate to say that it was part of the family, as it remained in their care until the late 1980s. Near the end of their ownership, it was comprehensively restored by Marty Beron, of Grey Hills Auto Restoration in Blairstown. The family had wanted their much-appreciated car to wind up with a collector after their ownership was over. Accordingly, it wound up in the fine stable of Ralph Marano, where it remained for approximately five years, and then it moved to the collection of Malcolm Pray in May 1996.This Ford is finished in the appropriately titled hue of Coach Maroon, and its 25-year-old restoration has mellowed in the best possible way. It still exhibits an outstanding level of finish and detail, and it is better than it was in 1941. Under the hood, the correct hoses and clips are evident. Much of the body wood remains original, and all of it is varnished to a superb shine, with the inside of the body resembling the hull of a fine wooden boat. Most notably, the extensive blond wood paneling is particularly stunning, with several sections of figured maple in prominent areas. The original-type imitation leather interior is in superb condition, and the odometer shows 80,375 miles, which are believed to be original. The dashboard even contains an original radio and dash clock. This Ford Wagon is a fine older restoration that can still be a point of pride in any collection, whether the focus is on flathead V-8 Fords or landmark estate conveyances.
