Seeing a 1933 Plymouth 5-Window Coupe is already going to attract attention just because of how few of these there are on the scene. But as you dig deeper on this steel-bodied custom, youll discover nice upgrades like the polished suspension and rumble seat. So you soon realize this is far more unique than just its nameplate. The all steel body is in fantastic condition, with the kind of fitting that can take home the trophies. As mentioned before, the Plymouth name alone will attract attention in the pre-war crowds, but you can also appreciate some great styling touches it brings. For example, when the fiberglass hood is in place, there is a great style line that starts near the headlights and runs all the way down the body until it flows into the rear. Theres bright work in all the right places, including the tall waterfall grille, headlight surrounds, vented windshield frame, door handles, and the tubular rear bumper. Its all finished in an aggressive red. Its the kind of paintwork that looks like this car is meant to be driven, and the American Racing Torq Thrust wheels with an aggressive 15/17 front/rear stagger back up this impression. Inside is a great custom cruiser attitude. The black vinyl has some terrific patterns as it flows over the dash, door panels, and low-back bucket seats. While most hot rod coupes are built for two, this one retains the extra cool rumble-seats. So this one is great for everything from parades to a night at the driver-in. No matter how many people are along for the ride, youll appreciate features like the AM/FM/CD stereo, Stewart Warner gauge package, and a tilt steering column built for even tall drivers. The engine bay is out for people to see, and thats for a very good reason. The shine from the valve covers, air topper, alternator, upgraded pulleys, and more makes this worth showing off. Beyond the flash, theres the substance of a Chevy 350 cubic-inch small block V8 that has been upgraded with pieces like a mild cam, Holley four-barrel carburetor, shorty headers, and rumbling dual exhaust. Theres even an aluminum radiator w/electric fan to help keep this package running cool even in traffic. As you look at the undercarriage photos youll see some nice upgrades with polished components in the drop axle front, driveshaft, and rear suspension. Plus, theres also a three-speed automatic transmission and front disc brakes, so you can enjoy this street machine with ease. If youre a Mopar fan or just a fan of being a little different, this awesome Plymouth is a head-turner with plenty of premium features. So hurry up on this distinct and irresistible hot rod. This award-winning steel-body (fiberglass fenders) 1933 Plymouth Tudor is now for sale and viewing at our Saint Louis Gateway Classic Cars Showroom. If youve traveled the classic car show circuit, you may have run into this 1933 Plymouth at some point in time. The present owner bought it in 2011 Sugarland, Texas where it was built, but before that time and thereafter it has been entered and won many awards for its build and beauty. Even though her current body finish is closing on at being at least a decade old, the Vanilla Ice paint on the all-steel body (fiberglass finders) is still holding and showing very well. There are no unsightly chips, scratches, or dents anywhere on the exterior. The suicide doors open and close tight, and the windows roll up and down smoothly. The interior is composed of a dark plum, that is borderline purple and is color-coordinated with the wire coverings inside the engine compartment and the fancy decor on the outer-body. The woodgrain dash alongside the plum vinyl and fabric gives this 1933 Plymouth Tudor a classic look and feel. It is very clean on the inside and does not have any noticeable stains, tears, or odors. Underneath the hood is a 350 Chevrolet ZZ4 engine with 355 Horsepower. It also has a HEI distributor, GM performance dual plain intake, aluminum heads, and a camshaft hydraulic roller. The transmission is an automatic 200 r-4 optional over-drive, with an 8 Ford rear-end with 3:55 gears. For driving, it has a Mustang II front clip with power rack and pinion steering and recently installed Monroe shocks. The brakes are front disc and rear drum. For smooth efficiency an Edelbrock Performer 750 CFM Carburetor with a high-performance fuel pump has been installed.
