The Deluxe had side curtains instead of the Cabriolet's roll-up glass windows. The 1931 Ford Model A pickup (82-B) was a popular style because it combined the comfort of Fords main sedan, with truck usability. Today that diverse spirit lives in this well-presented period-correct example that would be an attraction at any vintage car show, truck show, or even parade. The dark green paint looks great with the black fenders. This nice glossy finish looks very period correct, and it has the right ready-to-work looks great on a vintage truck. In fact, it even has cool landscaping logos on the doors (established in 1931, get it?) And youll love the look of the yellow pinstriping that not only encircles the hood and cab, but also highlights the stamped creases in the bed. While the pickup was one of the most utilitarian of the Model As, it did come with the fender-mounted spare wire wheel, which was usually reserved for the Deluxe Ford models. Given the massive resources out there for restoring a Model A, its no surprise that this one fits together well with doors that close snugly and a nicely aligned hood. Step inside and it feels like a time machine to the 1930s. The seat cover, door panels, and rubber floor mat are all in quality condition. This carries the correct pieces of the later Model As that gave the center instrument panel more real estate and an interesting textured feel. Speaking of texture, theres no other feeling out there quite like grabbing an older four-spoke steering wheel and feeling the history against your fingertips. All Model As, even the trucks, got the same torquey 200 cubic inch four-cylinder engine, which means maintenance is easier that you would think on a nearly 90-year-old pickup. In fact, not only do the pictures show you a quality presentation, but also useful upgrades, like the 6-volt alternator. The consignor even drove it 50 miles direct to our shop! The three-speed manual transmission is light and easy to master, and the four-wheel mechanical brakes are surprisingly effective given the Model As light weight. So feel free to lead the parade route in this pickup. These Model A pickups were built so tough that this one could probably still go to work today. But just like you, this exceptional Ford really just deserves the good life of a long Sunday drive. Call now!

For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a wild 1931 Ford Model A hot rod! This mean green machine started life out as a 1931 Ford Model A. Then one thing led to another and it now has a tailgate from an old Willys Overland. No fiberglass here, all steel. Power comes from a torquey 400 small block Chevy and is sent through a Turbo 350 automatic transmission. More than enough power for this little guy. The suspension is comprised of coil springs and a triangulated four bar for the rear and up front is a dropped straight axle with disc brakes. Paint is very eye catching and fits this build perfectly. The green paint shines well and is complimented by some serious artsy gold designs and patterns throughout. Inside is pretty bare but what were you expecting? You have two pedals, 2 seats, a shifter, a steering wheel, some gauges and buttons. Thats all you need with this wild child. Even though this is a 1931 Ford Model A, it is titled as a 2014 Special Construction. For more information on this wild child of a Ford Model A, call our St. Louis showroom at 618-271-3000. This partially restored, sharp looking 1931 Ford Model A Sedan is for sale in our Houston Showroom. Enjoy getting looks at shows and being in parades with this beautiful Model A. To some at the time, it likely seemed impossible for Henry Ford to follow up the commercial success of the Model T. However, he would immediately hit another home run with the Model A. But, while the Model T was produced for the explicit purpose of making the motorcar accessible to everyone, the Model A would be Fords attempt at combining mass production with exclusivity. The Model A would be an absolute hit with the public. The marriage of aesthetics and mass production has seemed to work as one million examples would be built by February of 1929. By July, just a few months later, production would top two million. Ultimately, by the time the Model A became superseded by the Model B and production ended in early 1932, nearly five million Model As would roll off the Ford assembly lines. This nice looking Ford is powered by a 201 CiD inline 4 cylinder engine backed by a 3 speed manual transmission. This all-steel original car has one very handy modernization: its electrical system has been converted from the original 6-volt system to a modern 12-volt system, making it much easier to enjoy tooling around in. The exterior on this all-metal Ford Model A is a nice matte black with buckskin brown accents and soft top. The Model A rolls on a set of original steel wire wheels painted in a brown color (that matches its buckskin brown top and interior) and are wrapped by black wall bias ply tires. The seating surfaces are covered by a freshly-installed Buckskin Brown vinyl tan. The interior has been fully restored back to the original look. The car has its original engine & trans in the car that is came with in 1931. The owner also put a new carburetor & a new alternator. Everything on the car works! This car has no rust on it and is a true survivor car that is all metal with no body filler. Options on this beautiful Model A are vinyl interior, roll-away vinyl soft top, a custom LED light strip under the dash (for the courtesy lighting), and bias ply tires. For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis Showroom is a 1931 Ford Model A 5 Window Coupe. The Model A paved the way for mass produced vehicles. By the end of the run, Ford had produced almost 5 million Model As. These vehicles could be purchased in a variety of body styles. From sporty roadsters to industrial trucks, the platform was extremely versatile. This particular example is the popular two door, 5 window coupe, and features a fold-a-way rumble seat behind the cab of the car. 1931 would be the last year for the ever popular Model A. Most would say the 5 window to be one of the most popular, especially for hot rodders. However, this fine example is no hot rod. This is a very well cared for original that has been fitted with some aftermarket add ons. First, and fairly common, are the add on turn signals. The next one is a big one, an inline gear reduction unit, a.k.a. an overdrive unit. This will make highway speeds a reality. It engages electronically via a switch located on the steering column. The body is finished in a dark brown that features a very slight metallic flake, the fenders are a solid gloss black, and the wire wheels are finished in yellow. The body features a yellow pinstripe to tie the whole thing together. The seat in the cab and rumble seat feature black vinyl upholstery, which are in very good condition. Under the hood is a simple flat head 4-cylinder engine. It uses a 3-speed manual transmission and transfers power to the rear axle. These cars are not speed machines, but they are torquey and fun to drive around town. This one fires up nicely and runs and drives like it should. The odometer reads 5,632, but the actual mileage is unknown. Options for this 1931 Ford Model A 5 Window Coupe include Vinyl Interior, Wire Wheels, Bias Ply Tires, and a Rumble Seat. This Model A is road ready and has a lot of life left. It is ready for a parade or just a nice stroll on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Take home a piece of history with this 1931 Ford Model A 5 Window Coupe. Ford Model A Roaster Pickup - Tribute Mobil Tank Truck. Show, drive or play with top on or off. Back in the 1920s and 30s as the automobile became more affordable, thru mas production, the need for fuel stations became more and more apparent. The fist rural filling stations were set up at country general stores; perhaps a Wayne Visible Pump and underground tank in each location. As towns grew, regular gas stations were built on prominent crossroads and corners. Perhaps a little Ford truck like this one would have been set up with a custom 2 comp tank for supplying both kerosene and gasoline to a specific route. Early petroleum companies were proud of their name and brand, and would advertise on their fleet of vehicles. Unfortunately the collectability of these trucks were seldom projected to the future; thus many ended up in scrap yards after their years of faithful survive. This 1931 Model A Roadster Pickup is an authentic original. All steel truck fitted with a tribute correct Mobil tank body and all the brand signage that would be appropriate at the time. Completely restored by Billys Big Boys Garage with loving care and period correct detail. this truck was mechanically rebuilt as needed, runs and drives very well. Ideal for parades, museums, private Petroliana collections, movie sets, ect. Recent paint, chrome, interior and decals make this little Ford a very interesting part of any fine collection. Correctly outfitted with all the bells and whistles - including a mock rubble hose with brass nozzle. Drive or display with top on or off.
