Up for sale in our Atlanta showroom straight from Little House on the Prairie is a 1927 Ford Model T one-ton pickup truck and in the words of Henry Ford himself You can have it any color you want, as long as its black and it s black. The work horse of the roaring twenties, this truck was equally famous for hauling hay and farm supplies as it was for hauling whiskey to the speakeasy. 1927 was the final year for the Model T, or Model TT as it was classified, then replaced with the Model AA for hauling more whiskey or hay, you chose. Now used for parades and shows, this Model T now leads a life leisure. This Model T for sale has had a full engine and transmission rebuild with only 150 miles since the re-build. All records and receipts are available for the work done. Lovingly restored and cared for by the current owner since 1998, this is the granddaddy of all pickup trucks. For sale in our St. Louis Showroom is a Chevrolet powered 1927 Ford T-Bucket Roadster. The 302 CID Chevrolet engine that powers this T-Bucket has a Weiand 144 blower, forged internals, ported and polished heads, Lunati valve train, and runs on 13 to 1 compression. A Shotgun Bill scoop sits on top of the engine creating a menacing look and also feeds the Edelbrock 850 CFM carburetor the necessary air it needs to do its job. This all amounts to a whopping 510 horsepower! The TH350 automatic transmission has a stage 2 shift kit and a 3200-3500 stall converter to help transfer the power to the built Chrysler 8 rear end with Auburn Posi-Traction and 3.73 gears. The PPG black paint is accented nicely with the red vinyl interior. A door on the passenger side allows for an easier entry and exit of the tub. This T sits on Weld Racing Rodlite wheels with some big fat bias-ply Mickey Thompsons on the back, and smaller Nexen radials up front. Disc brakes adorn all for corners, and coil over shocks are in the rear to provide as nice a ride as possible for this T-Bucket. The odometer reads 645, which represents the mileage put on the car since the build was complete approximately 14 years ago. Options for this 1927 Ford T-Bucket Roadster include: Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, Radial Tires, Bias-Ply Tires, and Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. T-Buckets have been a go-to for hot rodders for many many years. They are relatively easy to build, they can be amazingly fast, and the customization possibilities are endless. Finding untouched preserved beauties is something everyone is fond of, but creating custom cruisers is a great way to keep the classic styles on the road and still have some fun behind the wheel with some modern performance. The pre-WWII rides have awesome lines and looks, but driving them reminds you of how far technology has come. Fortunately, we Americans are spoiled with awesome custom builds making plenty of unique rides on the road today.GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1927 Ford Roadster for consideration. This Hi-Boy has just less than 4,000 miles on it since the build was completed in 2006 and there is nothing showing on the vehicle to tell you otherwise. The Orange exterior paint stands out and looks as glossy as it did the day it was sprayed. The body appears to be rust free and has also recently been fully detailed. There is an impressive specification list on this Roadster; 351 Cleveland engine (believed to be rebuilt by Roush Racing), Edelbrock carburetor, single plane tunnel ram, Jet-Hot Headers, 32 Lo-Radiator, SS Grill, Cooling fan with shroud, C4 transmission with an Art Carr valve body, turbo action floor shifter, Chris Aston 9 inch 3.55 axle, Detroit locker arm, Heidts coilover shocks, Heidts super ride 32 polished S.S. front end, Mickey Thompson tires, disc brakes, Autometer gauges, Iditit tilt steering, custom brackets, Maple Burl dash and side panels, quilted maple floor and to top it off is some comfy seats wrapped in brown leather. GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present for your consideration this 1927 Ford Model T Roadster Hot Rod for your consideration. The build began in 2012 and was finished up in 2017. The chassis was all custom built out of 2x4 inch tubing. The suspension has dual quarter elliptic springs in the front and the rear and rides on Speedway friction shocks that where inspired by Harry Millers Indy cars of the 20s and 30s. The front axle is a Speedway tubular axle with 4 inch drop and the rear axle is out of an early ford with Speedway open drive conversion, 3.78 axle ratio. The brakes consist of 1941 Ford passenger car in the rear and 1948 F1 brakes in the front. The steering gear and pitman arm are out of a 1965 Plymouth Valiant with a 20:1 ratio. The steering wheel is out of a 1947 Buick. The 16 inch wire wheels are from a 1935 Ford with 175R x16 Austone radial tires. The rear tires are 195/80 x 16 Bridgestone Ecopia radials. The 1927 body is Fiberglass. The grille shell is off of a 1920s Studebaker. The drivetrain consists of a 205 liter Chevrolet 4 cylinder out of a 1992 S10 pickup with a T5 transmission. A twin carb manifold was created out of the OEM manifold with Carter YF carbs. Other highlights include 1981 Citation distributor, reground cam by Bullet Cams, finned side cover and custom exhaust. This was all made to look like a Model B overhead conversion by using a cut down 235 Chevy valve cover to conceal the OEM cover, oil fill and PCV valve. The custom driveshaft was built by DTS.The body is finished in 1969 Mercedes Blau and shows very well. The car was built with care and operates very well. This car is ready for its next owner!
1927 Ford Model T In a showroom with original, correct, straight standing, never waiver from the norm typical Model T or Model A theres a statement to be heard from on this custom hot rod. Would that be fun? Would it be whimsy? Whatever it is, it may also include a smattering of rebellion. Think 1920s Salt Flats and breaking speed records...in style. In this interestingly conceived and built consignment inspired by a Gene Winfield Bonneville T, I give you all the above. From its use of a monochromatic scheme, but in matte and gloss, to just plain old throwing away parts that do not matter, and adding some that do, as well as tapping the genius of design and texture, and sugarcoat it with whimsy, I give you the Ole Salt Model T Hot Rod/Artistic Creation/Land Speed replicate. Exterior A chopped fender less, custom hood scooped Model T enclosed in Sacrete Gray (think of wet cement), overlaid with meandering dark warm grey pin striping which intersects with machined drilled flat black metal accents which wrap the steering arm exit, hood scoop, and formerly fender mountings. All this sits on a stretched and stepped 32 Ford frame. Rocket solid dish wheels in flat warm grey accented with chrome knockoff winged wheel nuts are wrapped with Excelsior Sport radials. A swooping pinstripe reminiscent of a casting fly line is seen whipping around the Ole Salt Graphic in 50s diner style including the Bonneville landscape in the background. Topped off with a Hartz cloth top over wood slats, this rod has a stance that is pure eye candy. Oh, and did I mention the painted squished evinrudesque (a la the Rescuers) mosquito that has been snagged by the hood scoop, thatd be whimsy. Speaking of whimsy, the gas filler is incognito by the drivers tail light which flips out to reveal the filler port. Lastly a front wing is an exploration into early aerodynamics, as well as a clean scrub line. Interior Faux wrinkled and patina gray leather covers the split front seats that are heated and have a bench back. A center console is seen with a flip up leather wrapped top. Pulling a small chromed tab under the console, reveals a chrome cup holder. The dash is warm gloss grey, framed with drilled machined black metal, and a chromed cluster of Art Deco styled Dolphin gauges. A removable steering wheel is interesting and fronts the dash. Something this writer has not seen is a high quality dark neutral gray Berber carpet covering the floor and rear stowage compartment. Topping off the interior cocoon, is a wood lath ceiling, expertly jointed and strapped. This gives a wonderful warm glow to the interior and is another visual wrench in the conformity gears. Drivetrain A 425CI Nailhead Buick V8 with an Edelbrock Carburetor, backed by a TH400 tranny, that is all business here (no whimsy). Add a 4 dropped drilled front axle and a drilled front wishbone, as well as a split stock rear wishbone. After youve done your run, Lincoln drum brakes in the front, and 11 Ford drums in the back will bring you to a halt so you can hear all the oooohs and ahhhhs. Presenting the current star in the long hit list of Classic Auto Mall Hot Rods, Ole Salt is a keeper. With all the small details, you can drive down Main Street and be your own single car show. Or you can pack it up and drive to a shore point, as well as punching it through the gears and go for a land speed record. Either way a shower and a goer, all wrapped up for you on the build side, (at more cost than selling price for sure) by a talented consigner who is as familiar with color and texture as the curved back road he lives on.
